  1. Which line in the ini? I'm really enjoying the game btw, hopefully I won't end up overpowered as most of the fun comes from surviving. What Keyrock said. This may be a little clearer though: Go to Dying light located in your steam library folder: C: Program Files 86 / Steam / SteamApps/ Common/ Dying Light / DW With WinRar Installed open Data0.pak and extract it to C:\Users\"username"\Documents\DyingLight\out Then Open the out folder. You will see additional folders of data/logs/settings. Got to Data/ Scripts / and look for varlist_noise.scr Open notepad Drag the varlist_noise.scr file into it and change the 0.15 to 0.00. Hit save and leave the the Data0.pak where it is. http://www.reddit.com/r/dyinglight/comments/2tus4n/how_to_disable_film_grain/ Thanks for this, that grain was causing major nausea on the rift for me. Now Dying Light is more playable
  2. Here is the apartment demo if anyone else wants to try it, it doesn't need rift https://mega.co.nz/#!nIJSmT6K!BRKQBDb0uB9V9Xbtz13c_3QZjokq_3jICCOdoAbCZtw Controlling in the rift is the same as controlling without it, with wasd or xbox controller. The only exception is panning the view up and down is disabled as you can do that with your head. You can even stand and walk around a bit and the positional camera will track your location, you are limited however by the range of the camera. Upcoming things like the omni treadmill will allow real stationary walking, but i might skip the bulky first gen versions of such devices. I can play for 2 hours perfectly fine in most compatible apps. Dying Light is the first game to make me sick however, and I need to take breaks every 30 mins. However its rift implementation is very incomplete, so I try to avoid looking around with my head too much, and I close my eyes during the cutscenes and crazy acrobatics lol
  3. Skyrim can work after using various hacks I was able to get that now famous UE4 Paris Apartment Demo working on the rift. I think it currently has the most realistic graphics ever
  4. Dying Light with its beta vr that can make you sick with all the jumping
  5. Yes it feels like a combination of Dead island and Titanfall lol
  6. Grim Fandango Remastered & Dying Light
  7. The reason the original trilogy story was good, was because production was able to say no to George, and suggest to him that some of his story ideas needed improving. When making the sucky prequels, George was seen as god-like and nobody said no to him
  8. That 970 memory issue where it will lag bad once you go over 3gb vram, is a deal breaker for me
  9. http://www.engadget.com/2015/01/21/microsofts-hololens-headset-gives-your-windows-10-pc-a-holograp/
  10. The game lets you rob places (with a realistic gun selection), or be a police officer and solve clues to bring robbers to justice. Something I don't really do in RL
  11. It would take over 1500 years to watch all the videos on youtube, unless you watched them all in some super stasis machine
  12. Yes sir Had to literally get down on my actual knees, and look up, to get that low in that last shot. It felt unnervingly perverted, to say the least. Especially since she's lifesize
  13. Lol no Kobe and they lost, food was good though iPhone panorama
  14. Going to the Lakers - Portland game tonight, hopefully Kobe plays
  15. If you have the extra RAM, then installing Linux on the free VMware Player is a good way to try it out under Windows. Gone are the days of being restricted to one OS thanks to virtualized machines I have Ubuntu & OSX Yosemite installed on VMware. They're fun to mess with, and run really smooth almost like it's natively installed (well Yosemite required some extra hacks to get running okay, and some functions like iMessage don't work because it's not detecting legit mac hardware)
  16. Yes it's decent, was just looking for an entry level stick to get me in the game, figured I'd be looking at the in-game sticks mostly
  17. Elite Dangerous is probably teh most epic sandbox space flying game out right now. You can be a trader or a bounty hunter or whatever. It is also the benchmark Rift game. In the Rift everything is true to scale and massive. You can turn your head and look out your windows to the stars and watch huge ships and rocks whiz by. You can look down at your digital hands and watch them make the same joystick movements that you make. It feels less like a videogame and more like the holodeck. And 10x more next gen than PS4 and Xbone. Cross your eyes and you'll see what I see My matching joystick setup
  18. HD Quake 2 on the Rift, if you cross your eyes you can see what I see
  19. Euro Truck Simulator 2. Never thought trucking would be exciting, but it actually is fun and challenging trying to drive that hulking thing. Really realistic when turning your head out and checking for oncoming traffic when making a turn, using the Rift. Messed it up a few times when my trailer got stuck on the intersection with a line of traffic honking, when my turn was too tight. I was staring out at all the lifesize angry cars thinking, good thing this is not real lol.
  20. Asseto Corsa with the Oculus. Pain to setup, but once it's running it's worth it. Being able to sit in a Ferrari coc-kpit with full head tracking, and able to lean around and look at all the buttons and controls from any angle, and stick your head outside the window. This is the only racing game I know of where in coc-kpit view, you can side glance at your tires while driving to make sure they are aligning with the road lines. Now all I need is to ditch the 360 controller and get a pc steering wheel lol
  21. Woke up with the worst Oculus Rift induced headache. Need to cut back on VR lol
  22. Yes controller turns your view with right stick, but looking up and down with controller is disabled, only your head can do that. DOF blurring effects are also disabled because your own eyes can almost supply a similar effect themselves. Playing Alien Isolation like this is like playing on the holo deck. The sense of presence in that world is unbelievable. The only thing that reminds you that it's just a video game is that you are using a controller to move and you get a pause menu when you push start button
