  1. FEAR 2 took out lean and ninja kicks. Enemy squads were less tactical and levels were more linear. Art design was nicer in FEAR 2 tho. FEAR 1 felt like a PC shooter, and FEAR 2 felt like a console port IMO
  2. FEAR is still my favorite fps. The sequels sucked tho
  3. You play as a cop, yes? Are you tasked with actual investigations and clue solving, or is you being a cop just an excuse to explain why you're at this place and now it's just survival horror in dark corridors? Just an excuse. You do one 30-second investigation at the beginning before being kidnapped and sent to a meat locker
  4. All I have left to do in my first play through of DS2 is kill the Ancient Dragon, so I become powerful enough to kill King Venrick. Then tackle the Ivory King DLC, so I can unite the lost crowns which grants the ability to stay human forever. Then I'll kill probably about 4 optional bosses I missed. Then I'll be free to start NG+. I already have 105 hours on record in this play through, not bad
  5. Evil Within, not as tense as Alien, just a gore fest
  6. I usually spend all my revolver ammo taking down one android, and the rest I need to run away from
  7. Only small shields can parry
  8. Got the next mini-boss down. Some slow guy with a hellebarde. He was quite easy with blocking and waiting till he attacks me. Much easier than the puruser in any case. Though even he doesn't seem to be that impossible anymore now. It's just that I find it very hard to dodge him. Everyone writes about using the balliste to get him down, but in reality that really isn't so easy. Guess I will have to figure out how to party his attack to stun him... Should be L2 on PS3, hit it right when his slash is about to hit you
  9. People play Borderlands to wander around and shoot endless monsters and loot guns. I mainly just solo it myself. I originally thought the first big boss in Pre-Sequel needed co-op to kill because he was so op, but all I needed to find was a decent sniper gun and he went down easy. I just wish it was more like Destiny where you can run into other players wandering the wasteland
  10. Does it still only have multiplayer coop. No deathmatch ? All borderlands have arenas where pvp can happen, they're just scattered around and you have to find them
  11. Borderlands Pre Sequel while loading up Evil Within. I still need to finish up Alien, and Mordor, and Dark Souls 2 DLC. Too many games! Next month will be even worse
  12. Preloading Borderlands Pre-Sequel
  13. You defiantly get your money's worth with the dlc, each additional area could easily fetch 10+ hours due to the exploring and puzzles. Enemies hit harder too. There's also better opportunities to farm petrified dragon bone and twinkling titanite; required for upgrading teh epic weapons
  14. The 2nd encounter is much easier with the drangelic shield or equivalent (100%dmg reduction). Just block, strafe and hit him from behind...rinse & repeat Shields don't block the cursed blade tho, you have to dodge
  15. Ultra Greatsword , something the Japanese love putting in their games
  16. DS2 is hard but rewarding. For instance I just finally fully upgraded my Fume Knight ultra sword. Going around smashing fools with one blow makes you feel like a badass
  17. After Smelter Demon is the Old Iron King, and then Fume Knight if you got the DLC (lol don't get me started on the Fume Knight, literally 75 tries to bring him down, and that's with using summons). If you return to Smelter Demon's location then pursuer shows up. You also get to fight 2 pursuers at the same time after you kill the last boss and go back to the throne room in Drangleic Castle
  18. First Pursuer fight has a shortcut; parry him with your sword to stun him at the entrance and then run to one of the balistas on the other side and fire two shots to kill him. It takes a few tries because if you miss that first parry you're as good as dead. This jerk returns in Iron Keep after the Smeltor Demon, and you have to fight him 1 on 1 with no shortcuts, and he is still brutal even to a level 150, my fight with him there ended in a double KO which meant I was unable to collect the Ring of Blades +1 he dropped, grrrrr
  19. Dark Souls 2, I think you mean. Look at it this way. In any other game, you die and all progress is lost since your last save however much time ago. In Souls games, you die, and all major enemies are still dead, all loot is still found and in your hands, all shortcuts are unlocked, and your souls are near the last place you died, still up for grabs. These games are much more lenient than you'd think Not to mention if you're stuck on a boss, you can always just summon another player to help kill them for you Try losing 100k souls like I did before lol. In any case there are rings you acquire later on that can help guard against soul loss
  20. Dead Souls 2? I finished Dark Souls 2 and found it easier than the first one, mainly because after you kill an enemy 10 times he no longer respawns. Yes that kind of makes for a grind but it took me 90 hours to finish, and I still have yet to start NG+ because I'm still clearing out the optional bosses and dlc areas. Overall it's a game that will keep you busy
  21. I like Space Engineers, you can build anything and fly it. Checkout the Steam Workshop for ships people built like the Enterprise, Ebon Hawk, or Millenium Falcon. Even big ships like a Star Destroyer
  22. Only an hour in, but I can say yes it's very tense, I had to take a break lol
  23. Must be all the video and music. No it's the textures, they're really detailed. Currently playing Alien Isolation, they caputered that 70s retro future look perfectly
