for you it might be effective marketing, for me it is dealbreaking issue... there is reason why i never watch TV stations, which do have commercials in middle of movies... they do break the immersion for me as much as stuff for real money NPCs in computer games... But yes it is effective marketing in a way... it effectively saved me 60 EUR It must be hard for you to find interesting things in life if one little annoyance can deprive you of the entire game experience, such an extreme reaction.

Some day soon probably someone is going to get it really wrong by trying to sell something that's actually more or less essential for a fulfilling game experience separately from the game. There are some ridiculously high standards in here. Classic literature like Dostoevsky wasn't just "good", it was brilliant and then some. Unfortunately the lack of polishing negates that. System Shock 2 had mediocre story. There is no denying that KOTOR 2 was rushed.
