  1. Pretty much the same, actually, because of TESV GUI (inventory, journal, etc.) and that I like to move the camera with mouse and attack with LMB, while I use KB to do it in BGEE (I don't remember much about the original edition) and PoE.
  2. Sounds like a bait, but I think (and I am an expert, of course) that there are sub-genres of RPG. The Elder Scrolls and DD:DA are action-RPGs, BG and IWD are CRPGs, which came earlier (and were based on tabletop RPGs), thus they are truer RPGs, than the former two. Also there are JRPGs, which I will ignore for reasons.
  3. Alpha Protocol. Saved Madison Saint-James, Marburg escaped, though. It was rather odd to hear "They were my men! You will pay for this!" after shooting down the second wave of reinforcements ("Shadow Operative" was on cooldown and the tranquilizer didn't work fast enough, so I switched to assault rifle) . What did he think I would do? Surrender?
  4. On the first run I attempted to wait for Eothas to break the Wheel, so I could get Berath (and the other gods), but it didn't work. I don't have any issues with the ending or Ukaizo, except the lack of autosave between the dialogue with the Guardian and the battle against it (I hope that the ability to skip the encounter was intended and will remain in the game). If the area or the last dialogue sequence were longer, it'd be worse, because I (and, likely, a lot of people here) am going to replay it after each DLC.
  5. Alpha Protocol. Had to replay 3 missions, because I forgot about a critically important optional objective (I thought, I'd have to return to the area, where it was), but I do like that the better ending requires some effort. Also defeated Omen Deng.
  6. Dark Souls III. Defeated Aldrich again. After the forth (?) time it became slightly easier, I think. Target-lock resetting and Aldrich's arrow spam were still unpleasant, but the boss took less time, than before.
  7. Anyone is going to pre-order? The game looks promising and I like PoE (party-RPG) and Shadowrun (party-RPG, turn-based combat), but I bounced hard off Divinity: Original Sin I&II (because of its controls, balance and it being MP-focused). Should I get Pathfinder: Kingmaker? Edit. Pre-purchased the Noble Edition on Steam.
  8. Replaying Alpha Protocol, while waiting for the first PoEII DLC. Found my old saved games. It's been seven (!) years since my first PT. About Bayonetta 2 on Wii U. The game is quite playable with its gamepad. Though, I rarely use controllers, so they all are equally uncomfortable for me.
  9. Dead Cells is a rogue-like, so there shouldn't be much time required for one playthrough (haven't played, but heard good things about it). Hyper Light Drifter is not casual and takes about 14 hours to beat. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen ~40-60 hours. I don't remember much about difficulty, except BBI (the DLC island) v.2 being hard.
  10. Completed (reached the credits, not going for the collectibles) Ori and the Blind Forest. The beginning was frustrating and slightly infuriating (because of the plot and character animations), the ending was unsatisfying (couldn't chop down the tree), but in general the game was quite interesting. Neither the best Metroidvania I've played nor the worst. Edit. PC controls are decent, but cannot be changed in-game, only by editing an *.ini file.
  11. There's still an adra pillar to restore and a garrison to save on Hasongo. Not sure, how the chat with Eothas will go, though. Also, the actual end-game is triggered, when you travel to Ondra's Mortar. There will be a warning and a separate autosave.
  12. Shuyan Saga. Completed the game. Got the feeling that it is a port from smartphones, considering that almost all actions are bound to mouse and active abilities' icons located where the right thumb would be. And the game recognizes input rather inaccurately in the "Beat 'em up" mode. A bit better in the duel mode.
  13. Is there a reason to defeat Nemnok from the RP perspective for a not-too-aggressive PC? The settlers seem to like the arrangement, as do the people (including the flame naga) working for him. If Nemnok wasn't the strongest non-dragon boss in PoEII and one of Junvik villagers wasn't unhappy with his son's occupation, would you attack him? Also, I took Nemnok the Petite to visit Arkemyr. No reaction from either of them.
  14. I'd suggest not to side with any faction, that's the most reliable solution. The necessary upgrades to survive Ondra's Mortar cost about 100K (and an expert helmsman and a deckhand are required), so it's quite achievable.
  15. It had positive reviews and I liked the previous Larian games. Currently, trying to complete a playthrough of DOSII and justify my negative review ("One must beat the game to have a valid opinion about it"). The thing is that DOSII is, firstly, multiplayer-focused, secondly, meant to be cheesed (from meta-gaming and save-scumming to "barrelmancy"). I guess, I will regret the time wasted, but I can't refund it, so warning the other potential players seems reasonable. Just in case, it's my personal opinion, not the Ultimate Truth.
  16. Completed the 3rd playthrough of PoEII. Trying not to start the 4th before the DLC (the game is absolutely amazing, but requires about 70 hours per full PT). Playing Divinity: Original Sin II. I can feel it being made with multiplayer mode in mind and every bit of it is uncomfortable. Why there is no pause button? Why is it 3D? Why there are piles of useless loot? Why *spoilers* die? The ship and the soundtrack are nice, though. Edit. Uninstalled DOSII. Shouldn't have purchased it before finishing the first game (which isn't going to happen).
  17. When I talked to Maia/Fassina/Ydwin and they agreed to join the party, they did not appear in the party management window and when I initiate dialogue again their replies are the same as when they're on the ship (e.g. *Ydwin nods sharply*). I completed "He Waits in Fire" before going to Neketaka. Maia's ending slide was shown. Steam, v.1.2.0.0017, all DLC. Attached files: save game before recruiting Ydwin; endgame save (before talking to Eothas). https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/17oT2M0FZEV-1rYWxytJj6j0FUnkUBxtX?usp=sharing
  18. Bayonetta III (won't be available on PC, but I'm glad that the series is alive); Devil May Cry V; Dragon Age IV; Greedfall (action-RPG); PoEII DLC; Praey for Gods (killing gods with a sword sounds like fun); Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (by FromSoftware, so probably a Souls-like game).
  19. Completed 1 playthrough of Anima: Gate of Memories - The Nameless Chronicles, going for NG+. More linear, than the first game, but still engaging action. The story takes place at the same time and place as Gate of Memories from the perspective of one of the antagonists, the Nameless. There are new locations, as well as the ones, presented in GoM. Instead of the Link system, there is Thanatos. It allows to power-up and sometimes alter attacks. Different equipment is visible on the character. Puzzles are interesting, platforming sections are rare and much easier, than in GoM. The soundtrack and graphics are good, the controls are responsive and customizable, but there are no on-screen prompts for keyboard nor 5-button mouse support. The plot heavily relies on the lack of trust and communication between the protagonists ("Should I explain my reasons? Nah, better to punch them"). VA and dialogues are comical, when they're supposed to be tragic. Still, The Nameless Chronicles is a much better action-adventure, than NieR: Automata (except soundtrack), thus recommended.
  20. Same with a Flame Blight (?) in the Cavern of Xaur Tuk-Tuk. The problem is that I can't recruit Mother Sharp-Rock while the Blight is alive.
  21. Does Sky Dragon Wurmling appear, if the Oathbinder's Sanctum has been visited in this playthrough? Would it be possible just to add the pet to the inventory, if the related quest (Lost Dues in Good Faith) has been completed?
  22. There are brine imps at the Engwithan Digsite, which are untargetable, yet they see a party member in stealth. They do not become hostile or targetable after detecting the party. Steam, v.1.1.1.0064, all DLC. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zNV9gVpKAKgEGnLSqVO8J6i8YZBhkDu7 Unrelated question: How can I attach files larger, than 1MB, here or post screenshots without uploading them somewhere else first?
  23. How viable this class would be? Rogue is a damage-focused class and Paladin is a tank or a supporter, but the ability to buff myself, therefore increasing DPS looks promising. What attributes and abilities are recommended? Is there a soulbound greatsword?
  24. I'd suggest to visit the Watershapers' Guild first, then to go to the Palace. Though, I went to the Gullet before the Palace, and to the Palace before Fort Deadlight (flag isn't required for the stealthy approach, by the way).
