  1. GreedFall. Completed my third (and likely the last) playthrough. Failed to acquire the unique equipment of the factions. I am not sure what is the trigger for the leaders to turn down the request for soldiers. But I've managed to collect all professor Serafeddin's notes.
  2. I generally prefer bisexual or non-romanceable companions. Unless their sexuality somehow referenced in the story, it is pretty much pointless to specify it. My 3rd PT of GreedFall is going well and I hope to acquire the unique faction weapons and the reputation bonus equipment this time. The melee build is more fun to play, than the firearms-focused one, but it requires more attention in combat, because bosses still can deplete my HP in 2 good hits.
  3. GreedFall (excluding the pre-order DLC, currently available for purchase). It's been almost two months since its release and there was only one patch - the game is remarkably stable. Spiders (the developers) in general don't make DLC for their games, and I very much appreciate it. Thank you for the information. It seems that waiting for at least 6 months is the most reasonable approach.
  4. Will there be any DLC or expansions? For how long the game will be updated? While I understand the concept of continued post-release support in general and why some players like it, I'd rather have a complete and reasonably bug-free game, which does not change after a year in a way I do not like for reasons I hardly can control.
  5. Completed Thief of Thieves: Season One. It was a quite nice stealth-adventure. Though, more "adventure", than "stealth". GreedFall. I acquired my end-game equipment before meeting the governors, which was the first main quest after the prologue. I appreciate the ability to explore the island before going for the main storyline. Though, on the 3rd playthough I started to notice typos, inconsistent capitalization and articles in dialogues.
  6. Started Thief of Thieves. It's a quite nice adventure-stealth game. Though, for some reason my GPU's temperature becomes uncomfortably high. The game's pretty light on polygons-per-model. Thief of Thieves reminds of Seven: The Days Long Gone, but less action-RPG-like. Started the 3rd playthrough of GreedFall. I've come to admire the ability to publish a completed mostly bug-free game more after several unsuccessful attempts to download one of the recently released RPGs, which seemed to be updated daily, thus resetting the download progress.
  7. Does anyone know when (if) The Outer Worlds is going to be released on GOG? It's the only platform that allows to control versions of games, so I'd prefer to use it, if possible.
  8. For how long post-release content (patches, DLCs, expansions) will be coming? (When can I purchase and download the game once? These launch-day updates are terrifying).
  9. Cipher is a good choice, I suppose. There are several cipher-only dialogue options. Pirates, the Principi sen Patrena, is just one of four main factions and can be (almost) completely ignored. Backgrounds and cultures related to the said factions get more unique reactions, than others. So, multiclassing is optional and there's a cipher/rogue sidekick.
  10. Completed GreedFall on Extreme. Firearms and explosives seemed to be the most effective approach. Also I discovered that if you fail to convince a faction to help you in the final battle, they give you some unique equipment.
  11. If I remember correctly, defeating final bosses in combat was optional in the previous DLCs. Is it possible to talk down Fyonlecg/the Oracle?
  12. ReCore. I've reached the Eden Tower and the difficulty has just spiked for both combat and platforming. I suppose, it is the last area and it is supposed to be challenging, but the rest of the game was much easier (and, occasionally, boring). The story is surprisingly tragic (for seemingly lighthearted action-adventure) so far. Edit. Completed the base game. Started the optional part, not sure, if I should finish it.
  13. Completed GreedFall. Despite some railroading in the last few main quests, there was enough freedom of choice in the end.
  14. GreedFall.
  15. @melkathi I vote for an old female nihilistic mountaineer rational occult detective. More fits the setting I suppose.
  16. I see. Thank you for the information.
  17. The value and the way to obtain the hull became less obvious. I rarely use food/potions crafting and this menu is the only place that mentions it. I suppose, it does make the ally-free completionist playthrough more rewarding, though. Edit. I did not "search" for the logs, I just looted (almost) everything. Hence the comment that the locations seemed a bit random. I'm surprised that anyone would complain that PoEII lacks content - Neketaka alone takes days to explore. The Dragonwing sails are there, not the hull.
  18. I have rediscovered that I can write really long notes in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Before I only wrote down locations I could not clear on the first attempt and was going to return later. I must say that this feature is amazing and I would love if more games had it (as I occasionally suspend my playthroughs and find it difficult to remember what and why I was doing). Also completed the main part of the game (everything, excluding the expansions) with the last patch. I made few small mistakes (such as meeting governor Alvari only in the 3rd act), but nothing critical. Though, it was disappointing to find out that the Blackwood Hull, which was required to reach Ukaizo, was broken into five logs and spread out across the archipelago. But, I suppose, it made assembling the upgrade more rewarding.
  19. What was the reason behind removing the ship upgrade from Neketaka and placing the materials for it in random locations, such as lich's cave? The critical path was perfectly fine and adequately long before the last update. Is there a way to rollback to v.4.1.2 on Steam (I see this version available on GOG)?
  20. In combat I'm not sure that you need Arcana, if you don't use scrolls, but from role-playing perspective it makes sense. In dialogues companions can help with low-level skill checks, but high-level ones require more "support" points in a skill for one normal point. Most scripted interactions can be resolved by companions, but in some of them only the Watcher can participate. I'd recommend to focus on 1-2 active skills and 1 passive per character.
  21. Completed the prologue in GreedFall. It is a quite decent action-RPG.
  22. Steam keys for: Deep Sky Derelicts HIVESWAP: Act 1 Immortal Planet Pillars of Eternity Tyranny I haven't played the first two, but Immortal Planet (a Souls-like), Tyranny and PoE are great games.
  23. If I may provide some feedback on this particular part of the quest design, while I appreciate the subversion of tropes (the initial reaction of an RPG player is to trust the companion and help her to complete the mission even if it looks a bit off), there is one thing that bothers me. "The Courier's Calling" is the only quest in PoE I know of that uses a chance vs clear action=>result system and does not communicate it clearly enough. And if there's a chance, I tend to make it certainty. Though, seeing the outcome about 40 - 60 hours after the action was rather inconvenient. Thank you for the information.
  24. Shadows: Awakening It's a hack&slash action game with RPG elements and puzzles. Somehow similar to Divinity: Original Sin in terms of style and large piles of random color-coded loot, but more fun.
