CO-OP
SonicMage117 replied to FreeMayk's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I am going to give an answer that I suspect many will disagree with or won't like but has very valid reasoning behind it so I'm going to say it anyway. I think both PoE and Tyranny should remain single-player focused, the design seems tailored for a single-player experience. Of course they could force a fierce multiplayer option but it would just be a tack-on or even a dlc mode but who can name a game that has had a successful mp mode added through dlc? Nobody. "But they could easily tailor it to allow for a good multiplayer expected" NO. They really can't.. everything would basically have to be redone and that would take alot of resources from the fund-raiser. More trouble than what it's worth actually. I know alot of people really want multiplayer for Deadfire but multiplayer wasn't the initial vision and when something so drastic is added when it wasn't part of the initial vision, it ruins the game, it dilutes it. It will dilute it. For a muliplayer experience, I'd recommend stuff like Divinity Original Sin 1 or 2 - rpg's that were developed with MP in mind. Wasteland 3 will be amazing for multiplayer. I agree that BG2 had some great multiplayer moments but I don't think PoE would offer those kinds of moments because it's way too different. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it could if they implemented it but I'd rather not. Better safe than sorry?

What are you playing right now?
I agree about the bosses in Dying Light but out of the hundreds of Zombie games out there, Dying Light is still on nearly top. I put it above Dead Island, Dead Rising series and Resident Evil series. Also, Lego City Undercover will be available on pc soon. It will support 4k Looks like I will be picking it up for both Switch and pc now.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
That's to bad. People seem to support and love what is bad and hate or make fun of what is actually good. I'm guessing those people were mentioning games that they were looking forward to - games that probably turned out like crap (No Man's Sky perhaps?)

Pictures of your Games Episode IX - The Bigger Picture
I'd post pics of my games but someone would probably report me for spamning... since I have quite a bit on Steam and it would take mutiple pics.

Obsidian Crossover Title
It would be isometric, built using Unity, the same technology that the other 3 games use. Starting from Level 0 and using enemies with scale would be one of the things that would make it so great

Total War: Warhammer
I love rts/strategy games but these Total War ones... I could never get into them. I tried... and tried. Same with Warhammer though.

I think we've been playing different games...

Obsidian Crossover Title
Next step would be that players start at Level 0 but have a Lvl 20 cap and enemies scale to user stats.

Obsidian Crossover Title
The premise is that a new powerful cult of wizards have appeared from another demension, who performed a powerful spell in which fuses both Eora and Terratus together and old arch-rivals have been resurrected because of this supernatural but uncontrolled event. You will be able to import your characters from prior games or make a totally new one to begin this unforgettable journey with. Choices you made in past games can be applied to affect how the story unfolds. Forget everything you knew: Since both worlds have been fused together, a new world with new rules has been created and it is even more darker and corrupt but thank the gods that old arch-rivals have been ressurected and realize the chaos that is happening around them. This is a cause for desperation. Imagine a world where Kyros and Thaos are no longer against you but part of your alliance, in fact they will be able to join you as new companions on this new journey. This means that companions from past games will start as npc's in this game but can be unlocked as companions in New Game+ with their own stories. You will be able to see how this new calamity triggers events in their lives, interact with them to open quests and so forth. Witness the terrible confusion and extreme aftermath of the devestation with unexpected results on the the communities of both worlds. Ever wanted to have lunch with Aloth or Eder? That's certainly possible. You can even buy them gifts, enhance their living conditions or even... kill them off - if you're in a bad mood. Fight Evil With Evil: Taking the best features from both games, the spell crafting system from Tyranny makes a comback but now the highly-requested Necromancy will be available in manners of spell-crafting. Fans rejoice! You'll be able to make some brutal spells which make even Soul Sacrifice's spells look like a walk in Disneyland. You'll be able to create acid spells, fire spells, frost spells, etc. And see how these spells affect the environment in real-time! Who are the new enemies? The new enemies are the keepers of time or so it is to be thought. Little is known about the motive of why the fusion of worlds has happened but we do know that the timekeepers are a cult made up powerful warlocks and witchers that keep even the gods of Eora at bay. They are known for being the gatekeeps of the universe but why are they doing this and why now? Are they acting alone or is someone behind everything pulling the strings. It's up to you, the player to find out! Thanks for taking the time to read my idea, let me know how you would handle a crossover between the two games and what you would like to see.

Pillars Of Etrernity vs Tyranny Battle Royale
If we placed PoE's characters against Tyranny's characters, who would win? Keep in mind that the characters of one game would be unified with the nindset of "team". You may do individuals members duel as well, for ex. Aloth vs Barik. Share your thoughts!

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Also Dying Light for 20 EUR, and Dying Light's worth a whole lot more than 20 EUR.Dying Light is a great game, sadly I still don't have the expansion. You sigh, I get excited. I finally have Ghost in the shell SAC. Good price on that.Didn't buy any games, though. My backlog is too intimidating.I know I probably seem boring lol I'm pretty picky (I'm not a huge anime/Jrpg person). The only things I have anime are Ys series and some 2D fighters if that says anything.

I've started with this one, too. It's great. Yeah, I'm about an hour into the game and I already love it. I spent several minutes just drinking from a water fountain, and I giggled the whole time. Ron Gilbert's brand of humor still delivers.Ron Gilbert's humor is hard to match, imo there's only one person above him and that's Tim Schafer!

Your avatar made me buy Hyper Light Drifter. Bastard. NICE! Hope you like it, the story behind it is very sad. Has to do with the developer being sick and the strange thing is, you can kinda feel tha eerieness while playing the game. I really like the Drifter though, he's an awesome character Edit: Here's a video all about it in case you're curious... https://youtu.be/NUT5SBZkVys

Games You Would Like to See as an Obsidian Isometric Game?
What's your opinion on Skyrim and Fallout 4? I feel like Skyrim is below average out of box but decent ehen modded. I feel like Fallout 4 is a de-evolution in the rpg genre - I do love the graphics of Fallout 4 out of box though. Every time I show my screenshots to console gamers on Facebook they say "PC is cool cause you can mod" but surprisingly I don't use any mods for Fallout 4. Just the greatness of an 860m gtx which can max out everything at 30fps lol There's alot I loved about Fallout 4 but alot more I hated. Let me just start by saying that Fallout 4 is the Fallout 3 I wanted as far as engine/graphics go and accessibility. However, the crafting and tower defense stuff ruined it for me. I thought it made the game too unfocused, messy and confused.... like it's having a bit of a personality crisis. Fallout Minecraft or something lol I also hated that the game forced you to be the good guy and the dlc forced you to be the bad. That was weird and didn't feel natural - probably because it tricked players into thinking that they had a choice. Maybe it's just me. ^My female character :D

About managing pledges
SonicMage117 replied to TVEYE's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Aa a first timer here, it confused me at first as well, I'd write Support if I were you. They will walk you through everything, I'm assuming that "naming a pet" thing won't be til later but you should really write them about it. In regards to that, we're just as clueless as you. What I will say is that you have to "complete your pledge" to move forward in any way, this is just confirming the pldge of what you already paid.

Low Poly
I really like the look of it. I think it's nice to see games with low poly modeling. This generation focuses too much - wayyyy too much on photorealism and not on gameplay (I'm looking at you Sony!) I'd rather play this than a good portion of modern racers, how Need For Speed and Gran Turusmo have fallen. And we have the horrible racers that are called Driveclub and Assetto Corsa... etc etc. The only racer to enlighten me lately is Forza Horizon 2 but I'm going to wishlist this new "Racing Apex" as it tickles me fancy! Thank you.
