Tying 4E FR Changes to Computer CRPGs
That's probably why you're not a game designer by trade. Unless you are, in which case, try harder.

Mask o' the Betrayer!
Shame it didn't make it in. It would've quieted all the complaints about the events between NWN2 and MotB being too vague. I knew Obsidian wasn't about to drop the KOTOR2 style of resolving prior events in sequels.

Precisely. It's not a glitch, it's a plot point. Yeah, you are even fighting the King of Shadows in the OC Wow, you guys are so witty. No, really.

Tying 4E FR Changes to Computer CRPGs
Oh, you kids and your drama. The Forgotten Realms will still love you, even if you yell and scream at it and tell it you hate it. That's what a good setting does.

NwN 2 1.11 Patch available.
Surprising that they removed the alignment shifts. It was a deliberate thing, it seems sort of inappropriate to remove it as though it were a bug. I guess you have to listen to your customers. Now if they would just remove all the weird restrictions on PrCs with the new core classes we'd be keen.

So how do you get this game in the States, then?- Submit your new or variant DnD core classes
Looks a bit overpowered, to me. Any core class with Hide in Plain Sight has to have some serious drawbacks.- Bioshock: Here there be spoilers
Games with interesting gameplay? Interesting? Back on the crack, I see.- Games you are looking forward to
Environments are nice. Vox quality... less so.- Hope for a new Shadowrun and Crimson Skies game?
Shadowrun's an old RPG. Mechwarrior is an old mech combat game. The second game was one of the few games worth getting for the old-timey macintoshes.- Reincarnation
I don't think anybody really expects for contributors to this thread to come to a consensus, or for the discussion to have any sort of practical use. We were asked what we thought. You can accuse us of wasting internet space, but at the present moment it's below freezing outside and the roads might be closing. I'm stuck at my computer, I might as well talk about irrelevant ****. That's the beauty of forums.- Reincarnation
Not being a Cartesian Dualist or any analogue that conceives of an ethereal "mental stuff" or "essence" removed from physical space, I don't believe in reincarnation. The very idea doesn't make sense. When we die and decay that which makes us up becomes something else (as Tale alluded to, a bit confusingly), but that something else isn't necessarily living, and the idea of being reincarnated into rocks or plants or oil wells is not appealing. I'm sympathetic to the idea that what constitutes "me" in the sense we're talking about is contained within my brain, in its states and dense forests of neurons. When that ceases to function, I cease to exist. My assorted particles are dispersed, but I wouldn't say that whatever receives those particles is "me" in any meaningful sense. I'm not able to fully understand it at present, I can't look at a brain scan and say that is who I am at any given time, but it's a leap to go from that to there in all actuality being a ghost inside of me or some representation of my personality and mind that persists after my death.- The Music Thread

You tell em, Joe Bulock.- The Music Thread
It's convenient that Black Metal can be abbreviated as "BM", because it really helps to illustrate exactly what Black Metal is. A BM.- Games you are looking forward to
That's very unlikely, since Wizards of the Coast (the owners of D&D) no longer make much stuff for the Planescape setting and will be busy promoting their 4th. Edition rules soon. However, if you like the Planescape setting, Rogue Dao Studios is producing a series of mods for Neverwinter Nights 2 called The Planescape Trilogy. A lot of people seem to be looking forward to that. I had actually heard that Planescape would be one of the first sets to come out for 4th, but I'm not sure how much I trust the person I heard it from.- US shoppers killed in gun rampage
You know what could have stopped this? More guns. Somebody had to say it. - The Witcher Revisited
