  1. That was... 14 years ago?
  2. Ah, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart got steam page and releases in 8 weeks. Did I miss the announcement? Cool. I wonder how well will PCs handle the rift gimmick. It seems like a feature tailor made for PS5 uber SSD system.
  3. Ah yes. That was more or less the reason I bounced off Masquarade on my first attempt, and never were particularly fond of the game, even though I think it is great. I find the vibe of the game rather offputting. Nightclubs were the worst.
  4. Yeah, I downloaded it and it wait to be fired up. From what I understand it is Limbo/Inside kinda of a game - more about tight experience than gameplay.
  5. I have been playing it on and off (mostly off) since it released. I think I am on the 4th protagonist now. The game isn't terrific, but I can't help but be fond of it. I heard WW was initially meant to be more procedural than handcrafted, which explains a lot of generated content. I enjoyed my first protagonist well enough, but I feel game gets stale quickly. There really isn't much reason to interact with sandbox, and combat is a bit too hecktic to take advantage of each character's unique abilities. I try to vary upmy playthrough, but too often I default to what seems to work the best. It's a messy title, but I find it very pleasant to play every once in a while. I am probably on a verge of jumping back and doing another storyline. edit:
  6. I heard it’s good so I would be all up for good port/remake. However, it is Konami, and as far as I know we don’t even know who is working on that exactly, aside from some internal people. I won’t get my hopes up.
  7. Homeworld3 has been delayed to February 2024. Good, that gives me a bit of time to finally finish Deserts of Kharak, and do a full playthrough of Homeworld 1&2. For a games I have enjoyed a lot so far, I can't seem to get things rolling. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/homeworld-3-has-been-delayed-to-february-2024 Eilte Dangerous folks are making a Warhammer RTS: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/elite-dangerous-devs-are-making-new-warhammer-rts-age-of-sigmar-realms-of-ruin
  8. Styx, yes. Those are honestly one of the better stealthem-ups I played in many years, but they have their shortcomings. They are still a powerfantasy, and that's something a Gollum game should avoid I think. Probably the closest comparison to what I would want a Gollum game to be would be Hellblade - not in terms of individual systems but overall concept. A narratively driven adventure focusing on mind state of the protagonist, with gameplay elements serving as narrative medium, rather than entertaining game systems in themselves.
  9. It is much more interesting to me than running as an Aragorn-knockoff and slaughtering orcs in Shadow games. Gollum is an interesting character with a unique skill. With a strong vision and direction it could make for an interesting, narrative experience. Not an easy sell, even if pulled well, that’s for sure.
  10. What didn’t you like about it? You didn’t like it as a game, or as RE4?
  11. Tyranny was profitable, but PoE1 wasn’t? I thought PoE1 did very well.
  12. I actually really like the change. Even as a healing main, I had a much better experience in OW2 than I did in OW1. Monetization has driven me away from the game pretty quickly though.
  13. If I understand it correctly it was also a reason for not supporting OW1, as they were working on big singleplayer mode. To be fair, they claim that that work won't be entirely wasted and they will reuse some of it for events and story missions - which allegiadly are to be more substantial than archive missions from OW1. It only refers to a rather vague PvE mode with hero progression, unlockable skills etc - a big thing that's been hanging in front of the player base like a carrot on a stick. Story missions are set to come out as seasonal content.

  15. Yup. Combat got stale after a while, but loved the atmosphere and setting. Looking forward to Control2.
  16. Send me you Switch, and you will have your time back.
  17. Honestly, the pillow talk sounds awkwardly hilarious. If all of Starfield will be that entertaining, I will be pleasantly surprised.
  18. Lamplighters League seem to got a lot of previews out - most of the gameplay videos seem sponsored so keep that in mind. A puiblic demo would be nicer Paradox. EDIT. Holy smokes, after two years of broken Baldur's Gate3, seeing a neutral enemy behave within turn based system at 36:53 feels mindblowing.
  19. SILKSONG UPDATE! Not great news through - it slipped its unannounced 1st half of 2023 release, and now is scheduled to come out at some unspecified point later.
  20. Seems like Bethesda’s sharp writing is still alive and well in Starfield https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/starfields-pillow-talk-will-make-me-swear-a-vow-of-space-celibacy
  21. Everyone wants to be Masahiro Sakurai
  22. What are the big boys of the genre? I can’t really think of a classic action adventure like that (combat + platforming + story + puzzles) in recent years. Kena Bridge of Spirits (indie), Arkham games but that’s about it.
  23. I had no major issues when I played it. Enjoyed it quite a bit.
