  1. I'm 70 hours in and am far from finished. No idea how it would be possible to finish the game in ~50 hours by completing everything and playing 'relaxed'. I do kind of miss bigger dungeons though. Not necessarily the behemoth that was in POE1, but more multi-level dungeons would be welcome.
  2. Those enemies are a huge challenge and not least annoyance. Especially those who can teleport YOU away and then smash you up while isolated. Came across one of those devils in POE2 as well. Good with variety though, so I don't want them gone -- but they are frustrating. Must be tricky for Obsidian to know where to draw the difficulty line though. Some find POTD too easy, and then I've seen people saying Story mode is too hard. They must be going "WTF?"
  3. Aye, alcoholism is a problem... Especially when the bottle is empty. Mirked prey.
  4. Another small hick-up. "a the" where "a" should probably be removed (or alternatively use "at").
  5. A little awkward title, but what I mean to ask is whether it's possible to get a crew member to become a master in a skill if he/she has more than one skill (like cook/deckhand). I've got several single-skill crew members to master, but none who have 2 skills have achieved it yet. And I've been through a great deal of fights. The people who have been with me from the start have 70+ sailor experience by now, but despite being active members all the time, they just have novice + experienced. Is this a bug? Have others managed to get them all the way up? Presumably it should be possible to get master + master too, but that must take a sick amount of time if my experience is anything to go by. Honestly looks to me like they "top out" at four stars combined, so if they are novice in a skill, they can't get master in the other.
  6. I've not been party wiped yet, but I've had 2-3 people go down a few times. That's on classic without seeking out red skull areas. Many of the fights do feel a bit pedestrian if I'm honest, but I've also recently come across some pretty challenging ones, where I doubt I would have survived on Veteran. I'm kind of torn on the new combat without health/endurance and more or less removal of per rest abilities. It means I can use the top abilities in each fight, which means they tend to be on the easy side. I have always loved to go through big dungeons trying to conserve the best abilities, and keep going when we are 'redlined', only resting when we are all on our last legs. Combat in POE2 is less chaotic than POE1 though, which is positive. And although there are some negatives to the new combat, it's also kind of nice to be able to use Death Ring and such in each fight (if I want). I've still little to no idea how all the inspirations and such work, so I largely just ignore the whole thing. Probably not a good thing, but we get by fine without caring about that and using empowers (not used any yet, at level 12).
  7. This is the survey about whether people preferred bite-sized or 'meaty' expansions? I'm a little disappointed they're basically going for bite-sized DLC instead of big expansions (and people voted mostly for meaty iirc). But ultimately it's up to them, and if they actually lost money on White March, despite its great quality, I can understand they are going for a more 'modern' approach to DLC. Hopefully they won't go totally Paradox on us, now when they are free of them.
  8. I'd like to bump this because I have the same issue and right now it's very confusing to know what is possible to pick and what is not. There is also a separate issue that sometimes I have all the ingredients and enough money, but the enchantment is greyed out in the list to the left. I don't know why. There ought to be some way to let us know via the UI what enchantments will lock out others, and if there are branches. From the above, it sounds like if you e.g. upgrade to Excellent, it may be possible to upgrade further to Superb? Impossible to know this from the screen. UI indicators similar to the skill tree would come in handy, including a full overview of possible enchantments (like if it's possible to do Fine -> Excellent -> Superb -> Legendary). Due to all this, I have yet to employ a single enchantment.
  9. Same here. Would be good to have more ships out there. Doesn't have to be unique ships like the bounties and such, but just a random Vailian Galleon and suchlike that you can take down without getting a bounty or standard. Thankfully I still have many ships to go after, but it would be cool and fit the theme of the game to have regular reinforcements so that the seas don't become nigh on empty.
  10. Truly amazing. Went over there to see myself, and the "patch" is indeed 7GB and is supposed to be 20GB, as it's the full game again. Meanwhile, the Windows patch is 19 MB... Maybe they'll fix it on Monday or something. If they didn't have DRM Free games... :/
  11. Another cool event in ship combat. No idea about the chances for this, or if it was unique somehow, but I sure was surprised when the ship sank on the first salvo.
  12. "any takes" --> "take any" Presumably you mean he's talking faster and faster, in which case: "next" --> "last" "reminding" --> "reminds"
  13. I like the narrator and narration, but what I do not like are all those instances of "Ondra says", "The Pale Knight said", etc. It takes me right out of the drama.
  14. Wow. Did they seriously manage to **** their pants - again? Would be nice with an actual patch too, instead of needing to download the whole thing again. Ugh!
  15. I've noticed that too, so I always flip to that tab when nothing shows up. Clearly these things don't work right though. But thankfully using Tab key + speech tab and most/all things show up.
  16. "been" here doesn't look right. Probably better to remove it, so people don't get fuzzy about the sentence meaning.
  17. If you go back to a place you have cleared out previously, 'containers' for loot, such as corpses, appear blue -- like they normally do before you pick up whatever loot they contain. One example is in the Oathbinder's Sanctum. You can click on them, see there is no loot, and click on the hand that usually picks up everything. The corpse will now turn grey-ish, indicating it has no loot.
  18. "her up lantern" --> "up her lantern". Or alternatively "snatches her lantern up". Depends a bit what you meant. Maybe the latter. I think there should be a comma after the first "brighter" "shoud" --> "should"
  19. * Previously in this ship combat I got a damaged hull, which was resolved last round, and the people fixing it got bumped back to their normal stations and the icon was removed. * Enemy ship fires two shots at us. * 1 miss, the other does 7 damage to the hull * No message about a (new) damaged hull * What gives? Is this too borked? A picture may not help a great deal here, but I've attached it anyway.
  20. Dyrwoodan Hog Nose has a range of 150-400m. The distance between the ships are 465m, so they should clearly be out of range and receive a -30 modifier. But they do not. Something isn't right here. When the distance was over 500m earlier in the fight, they did receive a -30 modifier though, so maybe the math is borked?
  21. Don't see anything about CTD yet, but I hope they manage to figure out some of the underlying reasons for that in time for the first patch. Doesn't happen very frequently for me, but it's still annoying when it does.
  22. Have loved the music so far too. Much improved combat music too. It was too much in-your-face in POE1, so I had to turn it off (think I had to edit the files, or delete them).
  23. Yeah I kind of figured that out in my first battle. Is that all there is to it?! Essentially yes, but it depends on what happens. Maybe a ship makes a run for it and you need to go after it, especially if you can't fire again for a few rounds. Maybe there is a fire on board or something, so you need to take measures. I like it a lot though. Been fun so far. Unfortunately sounds like we will run out of ships, so at some point I'll have to use merchants for target practice.
  24. Thanks for putting this together, Karkarov. Looks like a massive amount of cheese, so don't want to use them, but nice to have the overview nonetheless.
