  1. Here are a few answers I can quickly think of.. > 1. Completing daily quests doesn't register. There may still be a couple daily quests that are bugged and don't work, or just don't display the UI progress bar when completed. I know for sure that the "Beat x Legendary" scenarios works fine, but you may need to force-quit/restart the app to see the progress bar get updated. > 2. Whenever I open chests I get 50% of items from the B deck and the rest from the first 2 decks. I only care about getting more deck 6 items and I get one every 7 chests, if I'm lucky... Am I supposed to do something to improve the odds? Nope. The odds are what they are. Maybe a later update will rebalance the treasure table or offer other options, but as it stands, there is nothing you can do. Though, the treasure cards are weighted more along rarity than AD. On average, the distribution for Uncommon/Rare/Epic/Legendary should look something like 60%/20%/15%/1%, with the rest being dice and character alts. > 4. Acquiring allies with spells or cards, even when it's from the deck doesn't trigger the close location option. Do you have a specific example? It may not be a bug, just the game being strict about how it interprets rules. Acquire specifically means "successfully pass a check to acquire" and is different than, for instance, using Charm Person to "draw a new ally" into your hand. > 5. (The worst one) whenever I use the "move at the end of your turn" location power the game gets stuck and I can't do anything. Relaunching the game multiple times can randomly "fix" it, but it's still annoying. Try bringing up the vault in-game, then exiting. The Vault-Return Trick (VRT) is a common workaround for UI problems when the game loses track of an action it is in the middle of executing. > 6. Allies often have the ! as if they had something they can do despite not being the case. Yeah, that has been with us since the beginning. Even if they don't have any cards or powers to offer, sometimes characters still want to help because they're team players!
  2. If the next release is 1.2.6.... and that (2) implies a new platform is coming.... Pathfinder Adventures confirmed for the Commodore 64!?? Really, what else could it be?
  3. Don't worry too much about it. There have been reports of a handful of rogue treasure cards (cards that may be obtained in treasure chests, but may not necesarially show up in the gallery). I think it is possible for them to still show up during play even if they seem "invisible". Otherwise, whenever the next patch happens, whatever card you got might make their official debut.
  4. 1.0.3 to 1.1.3 brought the phone UI and a couple of other game changes. It is a semi-major update for sure, but I'm not betting on a new campaign unless there is rumbling about pathfinder v1.2.7 or 2.0. Eliminating quest mode and introducing a PC UI might be what is in store to justify a point release. I've got a couple other speculations, but those two are feeling pretty likely.
  5. Thanks for the GLORIOUS news, @Flounder! You 'da best! With the forum desperately searching for updates, I found a dramatic reenactment of this thread where Flounder busts onto the scene to quench our thirst for knowledge... or something.
  6. I can't seem to find the earlier thread, but There have been other reports where Google Play accounts were generating new PFIDs, and effectively shutting users out of gold/treasure/content they had on their first PFID. I'm willing to bet that the PFID you posted is a "new" account and there is there is another (just guessing) "Porcellino #xxxx" in their system that has all your previous stuff. The support team should be able to fix it once they get a chance. Edit: This is the thread I was talking about. If you still don't hear back from the support team anytime soon, try PM'ing @Aarik D and he might be able to escalate the issue for you. Good luck, and sorry you're having issues.
  7. It's a leap of faith, but the best advice I can give (short of Dev intervention) is to: - Restart the App - Select "Story" - Locate the party save that is broken, and press the X button to delete it - Start a New party, and then tap the "Experienced" button - Locate the characters you were playing previously and add them to the party, and press the green triangle to start What should happen is: - The party will be back together as if the broken scenario never happened - You will be have advanced in the game as far as you were before - Annoyingly, you will have lost progress on Heroic and Legendary completions Heroic/legenday completion is stored in the party save, whereas each character keeps an individual record of how far in the game they've gone. Deleting parties is probably the quickest way to "free up" stuck characters so they can join back together in a new group.
  8. It is true that news has been a little quiet lately. However, the last time that the question came up, the answer was along the lines of: "We're committed to releasing the Rise of the Runelords adventure path, and would really like to continue releasing other content if we're able." The next big milestone in the lifecycle of this app is the coming release on Steam. We'll all have to see where things go after that.
  9. Flounder had some info on this a couple weeks ago. Fire off an email to support@obsidian.net, and they should be able to help out.
  10. It probably isn't as bad as it seems. Pathfinder is still listed as in active development, so it is entirely possible it is that one of two under-preformers still expecting to break even (presumably after the steam release). And, even if not, there's this. Paizo and Obsidian were reported to have a "long-term licensing partnership." Between POE and Tyranny, Obsidian has CRPG fantasy well-covered, but exclusive rights to develop something in the Pathfinder setting is still an important consideration. Whether the handful of ACG Adventure Paths, or the dozens of tabletop campaigns, there is a lot of material they can potentially experiment with. Maybe Skull and Shackes and Deadfire will both drop in 2018! Yarr! It be the year of the pirate, mateys!
  11. They were only a limited time offer. I think the offer expired at the end of February. I'm sure it will come around again next year!
  12. It's half bug, half expected behavior. Your party's displayed vault is always the vault of the current scenario, or the scenario prior. Effects that change the vault, such as the one you described, stick around until they're cleared during setup for the next scenario. The Gallery is a separate way of displaying of all the cards you have access to. Scenario effects do no have any effect on how it displays cards.
  13. Not trying to spam here, just sincerely interested. Are there any devs or fans who can answer this? @MHCD, pretty sure it was Hannah Kennedy that did the alts. This dev blog post implies as much, and she's also been responsible for a bunch of the card art.
  14. You shouldn't lose your quest or story characters on reinstall. If you have been playing online (if you see the "Logged In" popup or the weekly/daily challenges), then your characters have already been backed up to the cloud. After you delete the app and reinstall, all your characters will be downloaded back off the server and you can resume play where you left off. Sadly, there really isn't much else to suggest unless you are on Android. Reinstalling is generally harmless.
  15. As long as you've been playing online regularly, all your characters and story mode saves have been synced off to the "cloud." An uninstall/reinstall will remove the in-progress quest scenario and allow you to start a new one after you're signed back in. The quest mode save is only on your tablet, so when it locks up, removing the app is pretty much the easiest solution.
  16. Weekly challenges area available for pickup whenever they are complete. Sometimes you may need to force quit the app and reopen it when it seems like the game is being forgetful of your progress.
  17. I swear it came up earlier, but I thought the dice cap was related mostly to what the play area can neatly display, not some insurmountable tech issue. It would be nice if dice in excess of that 26 didn't just get "thrown away" and still got rolled invisibly. I'd love to bowl a 300 in Pathfinder.
  18. Presently, no and no. They are not any tracks offered for download. The game only has about 10 minutes of music in it with minor variations, so there really isn't much out there: Main Menu / Credits World Map / IAP Store Scenario Intro Villain Intro / Defeated The scenario intro music is pretty chill. The loop is about 3 minutes long, and I'm sure that very few people have heard more than the first 30 seconds as they rush to start the scenario. It's also the work of Justin Bell, the same in-house composer that did the soundtrack for Obsidian's Pillars of Eternity.
  19. The way the app handles cards in the game is understandably hard to follow unless you have played the tabletop version first. Everything makes a lot more sense after setting up a few games by hand. The game is governed by pre-set deck lists. Just like tabletop, there is a fixed number of cards in Deck B, AD1, AD2, etc... If, for example, your party already has two Longswords, they won't encounter any more because you have all of them. Outside of an active game, cards exist in one of two places: Character Decks - The cards your characters use during a scenario and keep between games. The Vault - All the cards that the game has available for play per the deck lists, other than those in the current party's Character Decks. If you encounter a card and chose not to keep it after the scenario, it isn't added to a stash or armory. Those cards just simply return to the vault to be dealt out again later. However, these limits are set per party save, so if you're really set on having more Longswords, there is nothing stopping you from creating a new party with new characters and trading people and/or cards. The game won't mind if you find a way to have twice as many Longswords as you are normally supposed to. --- Hannibal beats me again. Must. Type. Faster.
  20. The "Armory" you see is part of the character creation process. Per the tabletop rules, new characters are allowed to pick from any of the B-Deck Basic cards to create their starting deck. The app gives new characters a "suggested" starting deck that you may modify a little bit to suit your play style. > What trigger is used to open the armory reliably? Story Mode: New characters that have not yet played their first scenario may access the basic list through the "Manage Decks" button on the world screen. Quest Mode: All characters may access the basic list through the "Manage Decks" button on the world screen. Bug? All Modes: If a character finishes a scenario and there are not enough cards in their deck to build a valid deck, they are allowed to select Basic cards, or cards two or more adventure decks below their level to rebuild their deck. > The basic cards listed stack. Is there a finite number of them like treasure cards? Yes. Finite within that party. Each party has their own finite vault that characters share access to. However, if you move characters between parties, it is possible to have more of a particular card than is normally found in the game. > If I de-equip a basic card after a scenario in favor of a newly acquired card, does that basic card get returned to the armory or destroyed? Any card your party doesn't currently possess essentially returns to the game "vault" and may be encountered again. The only things that may be "lost" are the loot cards you receive after beating a scenario. > How do I increase the number of cards in the armory? Is that even possible? No. You generally only have access to the basic decks. The only way to search through a wider vault is to banish more cards than you have acquired during a scenario. Then you will be granted access to the post-game deck-repair screen noted above. --- And, of course, Hannibal beats me by a couple minutes once again... Forum ninjas everywhere!
  21. No real farming strategy for the Liberated Blue Dragon. Despite being a Card Reward for finishing AD6 on Legendary, it simply follows the same rules as any other treasure card. There isn't much you can do other than play AD6 scenarios over and over until you encounter it. Important notes: - Make sure "Treasure Cards in Story Mode?" is On - Play AD6 scenarios to find AD6 treasure cards - Difficulty level does not affect which treasure cards you encounter - Only a limited number of random treasure cards are added to the vault before a specific scenario, and then it is random again whether or not they are dealt into a location deck - If you have less than ~20 AD6 total treasure cards, the odds are pretty good that the Liberated Blue Dragon will always be available to be dealt into AD6 locations - If you have more than ~20 AD6 total treasure cards, you the odds start rapidly decreasing whether the Liberated Blue Dragon will even be added to the scenario vault before play starts
  22. I'm almost willing to bet that's exactly what the issue is. I'm reasonably sure that the game treats displayed cards the same as those in your hand. It is possible that the requirement to discard spells first is interacting in a funny way with the displayed spell card which simultaneously is/isn't available for discard. Were you able to forfeit the scenario? Or are you still locked in the discard phase?
  23. Greetings potential investors! The Deadfire fig Form 1-A POS just posted on the SEC website this morning! [Deadfire Form 1-A POS] What's that mean for you or the game? Well, now that the information is coming through, it's getting closer to the point where fig actually starts offering shares to investors who reserved them during the campaign. Of the $2.25M in offered shares, there is reportedly $2.85M in reservations. Seems pretty likely that they'll be able to collect on the full $2.25M even if a bunch of investors opt to back out. Anyhow, I'm going to hotlink a jpg from SEC's website because that seems like a pretty awesome thing to do.
  24. Are you using a Huawei phone? It seems a background issue has been around since around 1.1.6.0 (AD6). I'm not sure if that ever got resolved, or what cause the problem was in the first place... [Backgrounds In complete darkness] [No background arts]
