Symbols & Spoilers(?) [Web Shenanigans]
Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)He also continued a little further on his Q&A tumblr page: "Hel does not have an inherently negative connotation in Eora, i.e. it is not imagined/described as a realm of fire and brimstone where souls or tormented."

Pillars of Eternity 2 Countdown Site
Ethics Gradient replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)OR, we might just get a disappointing nothing until the "real" countdown ends. Either way, we can do nothing but kick back, grab a beer or twelve and see what happens :D The countdown timer definitely uses local browser time. It seems unaware that most people aren't in PST. The accuracy of the timer highly depends on how close you live to California.

Symbols & Spoilers(?) [Web Shenanigans]
Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Agreed. It appears to be using local system time. I cannot see it unless I screw about with my time zone. As of right now, we're 30+ hours out from 10 AM PST. Parts have been there, lurking in the page code. "Today" is they day things went active. Edit: FYI nothing happens if you monkey with your system time and watch the timer run to zero.

Ghlorofaex has joined my deck
Ethics Gradient replied to Bane2197's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Villain/Henchman cards that sneak into your deck should be visible in the deck management screen if you press the "View All" button. From there, just drag it out of the character's deck into the lower half of the screen and you should be able to press the triangle button to get rid of it and continue on with your game.

No weekly challenge anymore?
Ethics Gradient replied to Thyraxus's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Thanks! Things seemed fine when the weekly challenges began on the Monday reset (4pm pst sunday). But ever since the slide to the Tuesday, and now Wednesday reset..., I'm guessing playfab has some conflicting views on how to define a "week". Weekly Challenges seem to end on Sunday regardless of when they began. If there is a delay in issuing the challenge, it leaves a day or two without a weekly.

No weekly challenge anymore?
Ethics Gradient replied to Thyraxus's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Ok. It's back like I anticipated. Though the schedule mismatch is clearly upsetting the app. Weekly: 1/25-1/31 - 4 days remaining....

Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Today's Twitter image was also accompanied with a "PST." That shores up the current theory that something will happen January 26, 10 AM PST.

No weekly challenge anymore?
Ethics Gradient replied to Thyraxus's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Yeah, it went AWOL again. The last couple weekly challenges have been off by a day or so. It should be back again tonight. Edit: "Tonight" is a bit relative. Things should snap back to normal at the next daily reset, whenever that happens to fall for you.

Favor of Gods didn't let me add a second blessing
Ethics Gradient replied to saxmaam's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)Yeah..... it isn't a very well-known feature. It is great that the option is there, but it may be a little too hidden for most players to discover it. It would be nice if playing a BotG or FotG prompted "Discard" or "Copy Blessing" options (or something like that). I guess the good news is that it is probably somewhat rare that a player even has a FotG because it is a treasure card.

Alpha-Strike Screen shots
Ethics Gradient replied to da_mayor's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)Ring of Serene Contortions? (AD6 treasure item) Normally just a "reveal to add 2 dex"; the other powers is simply: bury this card to add 10 to your check.

Why Not Both?
Ethics Gradient replied to CursedByLight's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Did they actually say that they wanted to do a Pathfinder cRPG? [speculation hat] What if the mystery Unreal Engine project is a spiritual successor to NWN2, but set in the Pathfinder universe? [/speculation hat]

Alpha-Strike Screen shots
Ethics Gradient replied to da_mayor's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)I think you're right. There is a hard limit of 26 displayed dice. Not 100% sure what happens to dice in excess of 26, but it is entirely possible that they don't get rolled (or exist). I remember earlier in the game when there were bugs to add arbitrary quantities of dice, and I don't recall seeing rolls much in excess of 300. I remember some 500+ rolls, but they all had some absurd +200 bonus from other exploits. Edit: After some additional investigation, dice in excess of 26 are essentially discarded. They do not exist, and therefore do not get rolled. Sure, it puts an upper-limit on Alpha strike fun, but if rolling a 300 won't do the job, you've run into a serious problem!

Symbols & Spoilers(?) [Web Shenanigans]
Ethics Gradient replied to Ethics Gradient's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yeah, it is entirely possible that the community got 'Deadfire' wrong (seems unlikely). We'll only know for sure in a few more days. However... it is one heck of a stinkin' coincidence than when you jumble up all the phonemes those eight characters represent, Deadfire is among the possibilities.
