  1. As hannibal noted above, this issue was first seen on Huawei phones around January-March. It is hard to tell if an update in the phone, the game, or the Unity engine caused the earlier set of problems. I'm not a Huawei user, so I can't comment if it ever got fixed, or if the problem has just started coming back for some reason. [No background arts] [Backgrounds In complete darkness] [Can not see the background]
  2. That's awesome news. Kyra's had that bug for a long while now. At least it is better one of the other bugs that power had. When the heal/don't-heal buttons popped up, healing had a tendency to lock the game hard. That eventually got resolved in 1.1.4.3. Oh, the memories.
  3. You can move characters around between any number of parties. Characters track progress personally, not in the party save, so you can freely swap them in and out without losing their stats or cards.
  4. Just add him to your party and replay all the scenarios from the beginning on normal as a group. Having an solid crew to back Ezren up shouldn't make the process terribly hard. There's nothing in the rules against "experienced" characters replaying old scenarios to help "level-up" someone new. The old characters won't gain any new feats or rewards as they replay scenarios, but your fresh Ezren will pick up the various skills and feats as he completes everything.
  5. @MrBishop, I may not be able to divulge my sources either, but I knew something was up when I got passed this image of Valeros with a Banana Longbow +1.
  6. When Pathfinder is involved, "because goblins" is always the best possible explanation or reason for something. Another example would be: Obsidian should do Skull & Shackes... because goblins.
  7. To make it easy on anyone who stops by, here's the relevant info cut-n-pasted from the above link:
  8. About a month ago, Flounder left us this hint on the Pathfinder dev blog. That leaves us the following options: Flenta - Not technically a sorcerer, this female halfling has a flair for the arcane arts, even if it is all just slight-of-hand Tontelizi - "Retired" from a shady past, this gnome is unstoppable with his polearm and a few allies Vika - A half-elf who quit her job as a blacksmith to try smashing new and exciting things with her trusty hammer So... thoughts?
  9. Ah. You're right. I think the 70/30 gold shift may have coincided with the PC release. So, it's probably been behaving this way for about two months.
  10. Whether or not you see a reply, QA regularly collects bug reports from the forums an adds it to their own tracker. In the meantime, a lot of the activity on this forum is users helping each other out by isolating bugs and figuring out if there are any workarounds while a patch is being worked on. If you feel that a particular issue appears to be going unresolved, drop an email to support@obsidian.net and reference the thread. A lot of us wish we could help out more, but sometimes the best we can do is offer some insight in why the app's behavior seems to differ from what users are expecting.
  11. You're probably spot-on. The app is unaware how much gold different things are worth and relies on the server to let it know what payouts to expect. For legendary completions, the server is telling the app to expect 50+50x gold, while the actual behind-the-scenes calculation is 70+30x. Since the game has been running at 70+30x for a long time now, it is more than likely a glitch that it is being told to expect the 50+50x payout.
  12. None of the posts in this particular thread contained info on your party makeup. I just wanted to make sure before offering input. You are very likely experiencing a UI glitch. You aren't losing gold. The app is just displaying some outdated information that does not match with how the server has been calculating gold since around February or so. The scenario reward that the app UI is expecting: Reward = 350 gold = 50 (legendary completion) + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 + 50 (6 characters) The actual server calculation: Reward = 250 gold = 70 (legendary completion) + 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 + 30 The problem isn't that you are losing 100 gold. The problem is that the app is displaying payout info that hasn't been in effect for a long time.
  13. Could be a UI glitch as well. What party size and difficulty are you playing?
  14. Daily challenge gold has been auto-rewarding correctly for a long time. Sometimes the UI flakes out and may not show your progress or reward correctly, but once you complete the challenge, the server should have added the gold on its side of things.
  15. Derp... yeah. Since the Sihedron Medallion doesn't specify which sort of damage it is good towards, it can reduce damage of any type. Though, it still has to follow the "one card type per check" rule. If the player uses and Amulet of Fiery Fists or something beforehand, damage reducing items will be unavailable later in the check.
  16. Combat rolls and damage are the same step as far as the app and tabletop version of the game are concerned. The reason Mirror Image or Arcane Armor works even when you play a spell, is because they carry the following text which exempts them from restrictions: "You may play this card even if you have played another spell on this check." Paizo has a quick note addressing this in earlier editions of the tabletop game. If you use an item on a check, the same rules apply, and their powers may not be available later if you take damage. As far as damage reductions go, another thing that causes issues is keeping track of damage types. Combat damage is a type of damage, not just a way to describe "all damage that occurs during combat." If you fail a combat check and are dealt Fire damage, that limits what you can do to reduce it. Cards that address "all damage" or several types get really useful later in the game. That being said, I do agree that it would be nice to have some feedback on why a card can't be played. If the game has already done the calculations to figure out what plays are legal, finding a way to push that info to the player would help clarify a bunch of these issues. Edit: fixed some things.
  17. I don't think it has been mentioned it on the forums yet, but Aarik and Mikey are off at Gencon 50 demoing Pathfinder Adventures. So, greetings to any new players that may be stopping by, and yes, we're all pretty jealous of the cool promo cards you managed to snag at the convention. (Source: https://twitter.com/Obsidian) Happy Pathfinding!
  18. > Shot in the Arm StormbringerGT already has a bug report in for Poog. [Poog: Shot in the Arm Power, Working as intended ?] But yeah... a few of those others have also been posted. We're awaiting the next patch to see what else gets cleared up.
  19. I also think that would be a nice addition. The other equipment sets have matching character tokens, and goblin portraits would improve the experience. If the underlying issue is tiny goblin portraits being hard to differentiate, it could also be possible to put the characters' name on the token, or possibly a short abbreviation like EZR or SAJ to keep the party straight. Sure, the base portrait with a goblin icon on top gets the message across, but I agree that it does feel a little out-of-place in the Rise of the Goblins campaign.
  20. Technically, resolving damage is still the same step as the combat roll. Per the rules: While encountering a card, each player may play no more than 1 card of each type during each step. Encountering a card has the following steps: Evade the card (optional). Apply any effects that happen before the encounter, if needed. Attempt the check. Attempt the next check, if needed. Apply any effects that happen after the encounter, if needed. Resolve the encounter. "Attempt the check" includes all of the following: Determine which die you’re using. Determine the difficulty. Play cards and use powers that affect the check (optional). Assemble your dice. Attempt the roll. Take damage if you fail a check to defeat a monster. The "no more than 1 card of each type" rule resets in each of the numbered steps above. But the lettered items are all part of the same step 3 or 4.
  21. According to the iOS App Store, the latest patch: Looks to be mostly a patch to clean up wording on a handful of goblin cards. Nothing big, but the text is a little clearer and more consistent with other cards in the game. A few of the goblins cards that got amended included: Maester Grump Mayor Kendra Deverin Ameiko Kaijitsu Shalelu Burn Everything
  22. The Obsidian edition should have put the PoE promo cards (Edér and Pallegina) and a small number of other legendaries in your stash. From here on out, any treasure chests you open will drop a copy in the unclaimed tab, but you aren't getting "back cards" for previous chests, or a blanket "one of everything" grant because you got the Obsidian edition.
  23. Forfeiting a scenario is fine. There are no penalties to "losing" in the game. It is more of a time penalty than anything else, because you have to start that scenario from the beginning again. Sadly, getting stuck in a summoning loop happens from time to time, and a forfeit is the only way out. If that doesn't do the trick, there are other solutions, but I'd try forfeiting before anything else.
  24. Hey, thetang22. You probably got logged out of iOS Game Center. It happens every now and then, and it will prevent Pathfinder from syncing (and doing just about everything else). On your iPad, open up Settings, the scroll down about a third of the way. Game Center should be right above Twitter and Facebook options. Once you're signed back in, restart Pathfinder and you should be good to go.
  25. Yes. If the Villain has multiple checks, the character that encountered the card must take one of the checks, but is allowed to pass one off to another character at the same location. There should be a little checkbox button in the top-middle of the screen if the game detects another character is eligible to take a check. If you press the button, another character will take the first check, and the encountering character will take the second. If the encountering character does the first check, the checkmark button should still be there when it is time to attempt the second.
