Next update?
nsr replied to Jerm's topic in Pathfinder Adventures: General Discussion (No Spoilers!)
I'm hoping there's a bugfix patch before the next content patch. For players who don't frequent these forums and find the appropriate workarounds, the bugfixes will help them with the current content. -
Bug: Quest location looping.
nsr replied to Bullwinkle's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I've found that if you exit the quest mode, and go back in reforming the party the locations seem to re-randomize -
salvage giving more gold than expected?
nsr replied to nsr's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Маn, people will complain about the weirdest things. Well, based on this post: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/87415-salvaging-as-intended-and-feature-request/?p=1817477 Someone mentioned that a previous patch made all cards being salvaged only give 2 gold, and the developer response was "working as intended". So that was what stuck in my memory. Now that I check the follow-up posts, it seems that the "as intended" is just that the gold now works, but the gold value may be changed. -

I think the extra +1 is from the belt of strength -
wand of enervation + animal trick
nsr replied to nsr's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
What do mean is the animal trick bonus was applied to the roll for determining how much the check is reduced. the expected result is that you roll 1d4+4 and get a value. Instead I ended up rolling 1d4 + animal trick value. This value was then subtracted from the difficulty of the combat check. -
I only reproduced this once, so not sure of the steps. When Lem was using the Wand of Enervation to help Lini's combat check, when the d4 rolled, there was still a +9 bonus somehow. I think it may be +4 from the wand stacking on the +5 from lini's animal trick, but things went by too quickly to see. The result caused the difficulty to be set to 0.

Daily Gold Purchase not functional
nsr replied to Eofkent's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
question about this, does that mean if I was about to purchase daily gold, I should wait until the next patch? -
It really hurts if you're trying to do one of the "before combat, perform skill check to see if XYZ happens" checks. The combat check number is likely to be much higher than the skill check and you don't get to use any weapons. I need to remember to stop using inspired grace before that. It would be nice if you could cancel the usage of inspired grace- maybe the discarded card can be upside down in the discard pile until you actually roll.

What does the number mean
nsr replied to wilhelm2264's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Just to cover all bases, if you have multiples of a character, the name may be followed by a number: "Seoni 6". This is different from the character's level. If you have multiple characters with just basic cards, it's possible you started a quest game then finished without succeeding the scenario. Right now, characters don't get levels if they don't succeed a scenario. -

Maybe they will press the "release" button during the live playthrough? -
Character locked in quest mode
nsr replied to Wehrwolf's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I figured out a "workaround". Since my quest parties got broken up by this issue, I was able to transfer the better cards from the unaffected characters to new versions of their characters by putting them on someone else. This way I can reform the party from level 1 with some of the better stuff from the old party. This is not perfect but does make restarting everything less painful.
