  1. You like it simplistic. I voted for c.
  2. You would call them "aliens". And the name of their homeworld has been lost over the millenias. They colonized many planets and became a dominat species.
  3. Other than in Star Trek "humans" in Star Wars actually aren't real humans as we know them. There is no Earth. Remember, a long time ago, a galaxy far far away... I think in the movies they have chosen humans as the dominant species because they havn't had enough alien actors.
  4. I personally like the rainbow robes. I hope they'll have some in TSL as well. It would also be nice if the game will support chequered robes. And what about floral patterns with a defence bonus of seven?
  5. There is no Sith left over to ask what has happened on Korriban? Where's the problem, ask another Sith!
  6. I "ONLY have a PC, play it when it comes out on PC". Congratulations! It comes out first on Xbox, thanks to Billyboy Gates. There it is, the good old PC vs. console controversy... One PC isn't like another PC, they are all different. Xbox is always the same "box" and it is, from a technical point of view, a poor (wo)man's PC. So they are definitely NOT comparable!
  7. What is wrong about progressing during the action? Why should all the PCs be a hero ever since birth? That the jedi council on Dantooine trusted you whatever you're saying was a real bad bug in my opinion.
  8. I don't know whether this is an explanation, but I think the emperor had been taken by surprise at this moment. In addition he might have never trained this ability of "flying". And second he has already gone for broke by his force lightning. It's also thinkable that the force might have abandoned him, same as 20 years ago the Jedi couldn't use the force as they were used to in the past.
  9. You just encouraged his son to kill him and take his place by your side, and you do half-heartedly trust him? That's like the Sith code is! Nothing to worry about, Vader had his chance.
  10. It is also named "Knights of the Old Republic". And there is only one "last known" Jedi Knight left.
  11. I agree that there won't be many people changing alignment a second time. But I think at least the topic starter will do this for many times.
  12. In the whole discussion my point has always been that when you choose to become a "Jedi Master" then your "evil" friends will have left you and when you choose to become a "Sith Lord" then your "good" friends will turn against you. And later on when you abruptly decide to defect to the other side then, from a logical standpoint, there shouldn't be any party members left over (except for the droids and maybe some other neutral fool).
  13. They often refer to the Jedi vs. Sith conflicts as "Jedi Civil War". The Sith originally were Jedi, and the same applies for Ravan and Malak who came from the Jedi Order.
  14. It is possible that in TSL the Jedi Civil War (Jedi vs. Sith) is over already. To my suprise, in the attached quote they talk about the end of the war, remaining Sith Lords fighting for control and that there aren't Sith anymore to ask what has happened. Well, does that mean that the PC is not only the "last known" Jedi but Darth Sion on his part is the "last known" Sith Lord?? This starting position would indeed solve many problems with the story.
  15. I remember them saying that some of your NPC will be send on their own missions at a particular time. So that you have to get to know your party members better and appreciate their abilities more.
  16. I remember an interview in which a dev said that there'll be a good reason why you might wish to get your own lightsaber from the Mandalorian Wars back. I think that there's something special about it. But I'm not sure whether they said that you can find in on Dantooine.
  17. I don't think that's a very good way to handle it, though. The Dark Side is supposed to be seductive and powerful to even the greatest of the Jedi; if it simply destroyed all their advantages when they embraced it, then the only Dark Side users would be the people who started as Sith. Just as Anakin Skywalker could become Darth Vader and be powerful in both incarnations, so room must be left for players who want to start out Light and slide into the Dark, or vice versa. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think the stronger a Jedi master is the less susceptible he is to the DS. As the name implies he/she is a master of the light side. I don't understand a player who has already gone the long and hard way to become a Jedi Master and then, without a comprehensible reason, behaves like a schizophrenic maniac. So I don't have any problems with a game that doesn't allow for such strange careers. By the way, Anakin has never reached the rank of Jedi Master. He's been a young padawan/knight with let me say "mental problems".
  18. Exar Kun is the most overrated Sith ever! He rather used his Sith magic to escape the attack (as a ghost).
  19. I voted for Darth Sidious because in my opinion he's been the only Sith Lord who really knew what he's doing.
