  1. One wonders how this was possible when they finalise the engine before making any content (or even the tools to do so) because otherwise they should do it all over again because of engine inconsistency that was impossible to revert back to IF something went wrong? Shouldn't they have noticed then already error messages and other odd behavior when starting the DM Client? "
  2. Actually female PC's are not in minority. It is a fact alot of gamers play female PC's because they wan't to look at "pretty pixels" in the time that the game takes When did you miss the several posts pointing out this has (unforunately) failed already? And they only figured that out so late...
  3. I do know that if a function is not in retail and is forced to come later it also needs testing. If it is done beyond release date and then still needs it's testing it might take longer than the month or so the gang here hopes for and since that would hurt sales/rep/game longetivity they may decide to just drop it as soon as they are fairly done. Ofcourse assuming the DM Client is delayed because there has to be coding to do on it, not an immensive amount of testing (and fixing the findings) only; which; by the sound of it is the case...
  4. Hmmmm, maybe YOU didn't steal it? " You cannot follow the storyline of a Diabolish-game... Sad
  5. To prevent it from cluttering one (of the many) NWN2 threads, I will continue here: Noticed "one of the most". Actual by itself it is useless. You would have learned if you would have continued with the story. And this makes sense. He really didn't want the main char to tell of his finding in his home town... What? I don't understand this line... Somebody missed the 5 guardians... Hmmm, level 30. Nah, made for Lvl 1 chars To finish it off I find it funny how you complained that Diablo-type of games lack story, then when one enters in a decent story you crack it because it didn't spoil it's entire load in the first act of the first chapter, but actually has you gather the entire plot while going through it and has such twists. Lol...
  6. Good thing you never got betrayed by people in any BioWare games, eh. Totally makes no sense... Ofcourse somebody telling in their hometown he stole one of the most powerfull relics in the entire world would be perfectly normal for any would-be-world-dominator to accept... Especially if these guys are just very expandable people he could easily get another 1000 from without trouble... Hades; I have no idea how you managed to keep playing Kotor2 if you despise an actual story... that isn't immediately clear from point blanche UNATCO - NSF WTF!
  7. *cough*It is pretty obvioulsy Oblivion*cough* Speaking about DS2, what did you find of it? It offered everything you mentioned that would make Diablo2 into a good RPG... " And on the DL later stuff (very late, yeah, I know); They mentioned QA and stuff didn't used DM client for the making of NWN2 so it really is not that much needed or something. It makes me wonder if they actually gonna QA-test the DM Client before offering it for download or just dump it on us when done. [insert Alanschu post about how conversing something from one engine to another might ruin everything]; with all consequences that that could give...
  8. Sure, Kotor2 was good. On loads of moments even way better than Kotor1. I even forgived them the ending because well, they WERE rushed and they promised to learn from that experience. What makes me fear NWN2 is the fact that is seems like they didn't learn from it. Despite the enormous long dev time (certainly compared to Kotor2) they do manage to have crisis cuttings when Sawyer takes over. They "suddenly" imagine NWN1-NWN2 conversion might be needed and that that takes time; because they cannot keep them the same... And on gametime; Time will be 20 hours for sure We cannot say anything about the time, and then only QA can tell Not that long after QA says It will take 30-40 hours It sounds awfull... convenient... Let's get J.C. to sort it out
  9. Blast, this is the General section of Kotor2... Since the mods are as nice to remove our edit function would they also be so nice as to add spoilertags where needed on my (and other people's) post?
  10. You got it SO wrong it was: In a day or 2 HA! No Fun! And according to posters on the OE forums (Lara Kikelli, Llyranor, Kaftan Barlast) so is the DM Client " Main point is OE once again (even with such a long dev cycle) rushed and did mismanagement and ONCE AGAIN we are stuck with an incomplete game. You can say "we get it in XX" days but can we believe that? SHOULD we believe that? OE told us they learned there lesson from Kotor2, but they repeat it once again; why should other failures not be repeated too then? Where can I get the same fate as you guys seem to have that despite this screwup not more shall follow?
  11. Not true... I actually killed 2 masters during the LS period of me and I got the LS ending and Force Enlightment When (as DS) killing 1 master yielded me DS ending and Force Crush...
  12. Apparently both PNJ and PG are still alive; yet unheard of... We *have* to wait (can't do much else, eh) First info on PG will probably arrive around end this year...
  13. http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/asajjventress/
  14. Well, that is already the current way games use "non-linearity"... You can find such in Fahrenheit and Deus Ex and many other games...
  15. Hmmm, this is a battle I am going to loose. Some background info on this loss; * The entry point of most caravans was heavily loaded with Goblin Watchtowers and later Strangling Flowerweed * Another entry point hold it's first caravan stuck in trees the whole 32 days. Good thing a bunch of rustspitters got stuck on him too * Very soon into the game it decided it was fun on a single day to throw a bunch of poisoned weaponed rogues, large quanitities of flowering strangleweed and 3 fortified goblin strongeholds on me... * Due to being yellow these rogues could easily go to some goblin strongholds to attack them, but doing so caused massive attack-forces to assault my unprepared town, since all heroes were elsewhere * Not long after the rogues came barbarians. Barbarians + poisoned rogues = no fun * These "accidents" were very common. Ever three days I got 3 accidents in a row. * I generated so many dead bodies graveyards actually dissapeared (on day 32 I had one graveyard... while I HAD 3) And much much more, but the pic will speak for itself I hope:
  16. Yeah, but there is some reason why they don't do that. Branching storylines make just that much additional work and cost too much $ and time. They wanted to do with DX ( ) but they dropped that one because of those reasons... Give me a game who branches early on and not that much near the end (oh and for the end then also have multiple maps instead of just the same map on a different way)...
  17. Care to eleborate... did you get a totally different movie than all of us?
  18. That was actually BioWare for the first Kotor. Maybe OE did something similar too, but probably on a smaller scale then...
  19. They skipped past any text. I doubt one can read it on even the high-res version and if they do they will need to have the pause button hot-keyed to read it all...
  20. Works for me; but there is no way I can just spend watching 14 min of only talking... EDIT; Let's add some content to the click to attack reasoning: At the end of that gameplay movie a fighter attacks... a... eh... something. Anyways, he clicks something in the lower right then strikes. Then just stands there stupidly watching his NPC teammate beat up. Another lower right/strike and being idiotic... and then the third time! This time the monster died though... Also on rewatching even sooner into that movie (near that bridge) he slashed one char and then just stood there while all the citizens around him where fighting in real time... it looked... diabolish to me... And now on rewatching I realised the battle at the end was turnbased there for a moment... which might have explained all that stuff; but in combo with this scene it really looked a one-click-one-attack combat way
  21. You can watch the movie without registering. I have no account at Gamespot and I saw it... You cannot DL it, but just click "watch it" and accept the basic quality stuff and enjoy! There is never enough Hades So it is not like that... good; but in that case; BAD BAD movie...
  22. And how many of those devs hype up that stuff that isn't in there as seller point of the game. How many of these devs would leave the function on the main menu with a "wait!" message when clicked on it, comparable to those "For this buy the full version" screens we all know from demo's?
  23. This is also true with Fahrenheit... And "complex gameplay"... DX is a RPG/FPS, FH is a Adventure... guess that makes the difference in gameplay...
  24. Hmmm, worse than the ingame footage that was shown before. Must be the lack of sound and explenation... And what's up with the "click per melee attack". Is this Diablo?
