That's what I thought. Because it had Olaf from the Lost Vikings as a hidden character

Civ IV
And while the spearman beating tank IS annoying, you can't fault Civ3 for that....it's been a problem in all the Civ games, including Alpha Centauri. The worst was the first one though, as there was no concept of unit strength. Just like that, BAM, that militia guy has taken out my Battleship. The first thing I usually do is upgrade the attack/defense values of units with the scenario editor in Civ3, to hopefully keep those to a minimum.

King Kong
Blame the axing off of the love interest at the beginning of the Bourne Supremacy on the fact that the first one didn't follow the book very well, and she doesn't even exist in the novel version of Bourne Supremacy. I liked both of the Bourne movies personally, and I wait with high anticipation for the third one.

A Battlefield 2 thread
That reminds me of my first time playing BF1942. It was on the Iwo Jima map, and I was a newb that had somehow gotten control of the Prince of Wales Battleship. I was shooting the crap out of everything with my shore bombardments and having an absolute blast. I then saw a golden opportunity of about 8 guys running down a hill, so I fired my 6 14" cannons at them, at which point I teamkilled pretty much my entire team. Turns out we had captured the hill. After that, we lost the hill, and pretty much got raped. I can take full responsibility for my actions.....I cost us the map :D I also remember one time playing the D-Day map, some guy had parked the destroyer FAR away from the beach, and I didn't like that. The artillery support is very helpful, and much easier when it's close and you can see where you're shooting, so I started moving the destroyer. Turns out I accidentally beached it way on the left side of the map, so it DEFINITELY wasn't useful anymore. Right about the time when ALL of the allied players were asking around for who the heck did that, I figured it was a good time for me to slink away and never return to that server :D As for being kickbanned......I only had it happen once in BFV. And it's because my friend and I absolutely raped with helicopters. It got so easy that we would always play as the NVA so that we had to steal the enemy helicopters first. But once we did, wooooweee....it was fun. We had it planned perfectly on Flaming Dart. I had just taken out the South Vietnamese airfield, and I stole their last F4. This let me take out those pesky Cobras, as well napalm the helicopter spawn campers as my friend waited nearby. He had damaged the control tower, and when I felt like the Cobra was going to spawn soon, I bailed out (crashing plane into tower for additional damage) and capped me an M60 (back when it was the cutting beam of doom!). But not before I blew up the control tower and not before my friend ganked the cobra that respawned. Since I took out both towers, there was absolutely nothing they could do to shoot down the cobra. We then proceeded to cap ALL the flags that we didn't have, AND take out any futile landing parties they were sending across the river. And this was on a clan server, while playing against the host clan, so it was very satisfying. However, when we went to cap the last flag, we both suddenly died, and they stole our cobra (considering it was impossible to kill the pilot inside a helo without taking out the helo). We then quickly shot it down and still won, but we were laughing hard at the clan cheating And on the next map, we both jumped into each MiG, flew to the enemy airfield, at which point we immeidately stole their cobra and F4 (I think the team was retarded), and then were raping the map. Anything that could hurt the cobra got shot down by me...and anything that moved on the ground was owned by my friend in the cobra. Next thing we know, we were both banned at the same time. Never laughed so hard in my life

What are you playing ? (looking forward too)
The Police Quest games were gun, as were Space Quest. The King's Quests games I hadn't played however (did play some of the Quest for Glories...I sucked at them at the time though).

I hope you read the whole thread Ender....it's quite entertaining!

Master Yoda vs. Sidious
As in if Yoda had a mad ankle-breaking crossover? I dunno.....Sidious does look like he has weak ankles. And Yoda's Vertical is pretty impressive.

Currently reinstalled my old close Combat Games (II and IV since they have a dynamic campagin). Things going fairly well, despite some extra resistance up north. Not that the fights were hard for the 1st SS Panzer Div, but the silly allies just wouldn't give up. But I'm about at Bastogne, as well as securing the roads to the North and South of it. Hopefully that 101st doesn't rear it's ugly head

I guess I should have posted a more complete quote:

Critical Hits and Critical Strikes
Why were you Master Flurrying as a Sith Lord though? I just Force Crushed my way through the fight and she wasn't even able to get a chance to hit me back. I had successfully put her in a juggle move

Critical Hits and Critical Strikes
It is kind of funny to see him immediately enter his cutscene after one attack round. I still did kill the Jedi, as I knew that their fate would be worse than death if I didn't. I knew they would not want to help contribute to the power of a Sith Lord. As Dark Lord Revan though, I drained them for myself

Conspiracies: Are they real?
The part that I'm reading on Page 105 says this:

Critical Hits and Critical Strikes
Master Flurry is goofy strong, especially when paired with Master Speed. 5 attacks for 50+ damage each = dead guys. I killed Malak in two attack rounds as my Guardian in KOTOR 1, and KOTOR 2 was my running around mashing on '1' as fast as I could to keep flurrying and killing all. I have never used Power Attack really though. The animation itself annoys me (goofy flip)

Conspiracies: Are they real?
It entered her in the front? And are they not mistaking depth perception? What part are you looking at (seeing as I have it open too)? I was going to read over the EPA one as well, but it's like 300 pages as well so I basically said fook it.

Conspiracies: Are they real?
Yeah I got that :D Although I'm still curious what indicates that a bullet would have had to have changed direction if it was truly only coming from one spot?
-
Conspiracies: Are they real?
Why would a bullet need to change directions during the Kennedy's Assassination? And don't forget how dated the Warren commission is. The conspiracy guys!!!! My powerbroker comments were simply in jest though. Although I would be impressed if somehow the conspiracy was able to modify every all those Italian rifles that could have shot those bullets.

The Abrams IS fun. And I'm more willing to be the secondary gunner since I can now duck if I'm being shot at :D

Best Video Game Lines/Moments!
At family get togethers we'd have an 8 player tournament. My good cousin and I would always meet at some point, and those fights were always crazy long and people enjoyed just watching them. I always had the upper hand on him in Mortal Kombat games...although a different cousin could give me a run for my money in that one :D

Conspiracies: Are they real?
Penn & Teller's Bull**** did not claim zero medical evidence for second hand smoking being bad for your health. They pointed out that the two reports from the EPA and the WHO that are spouted off so much by the fans of anti-second hand smoking are bogus. First and foremost, the WHO had a study in 1998 that concluded: "Our results indicate no association between childhood exposure to ETS [environmental tobacco smoke] and lung cancer risk" only to later put out there press release to the public that states that it is....going against their own conclusion. As for the EPA, Penn and Teller pointed out the "25%" number that the EPA and the second-hand smoking advocates like to toss around. The 1993 EPA report states that those exposed to second hand smoke have a 25% greater chance of dying from lung cancer. What isn't apparent in this statement however, is that the change is from 1 in 100,000 to 1.25 in 100,000. Common-folk still like to state "well it's still an increase," ignoring the fact that they difference is not statistically significant (that is, the change could very well be based on the random sample and pure luck, and does not actually support the claim. If you're still not clear, get two different sets of 100,000 people, and you are likely to find this distribution based purely on random sample). Even IF, you change the measurement of statistical signifigance from the standard 0.05 to 0.1 (which is frowned upon in academia), you still only actually get a 1.19 or 19% relative risk. That's what Penn and Teller focused their second hand smoke episode on. As for the rifle....it's the power brokers that bullied that report into saying it took over 2 seconds to reload that round. You can play the conspiracy game both ways. Those that want you to believe it's a consipiracy have are committed to their own agenda. The guns weren't changed....that's just what the consipiracy theorists want you to think! EDIT: And the "bogus" physics have since been shown to actually have been accurate. The way that Kennedy's head jerked around actually does make sense, given the bullets coming from the same location.

Would Mace Windu Have beaten Sidious?
Here's a larger exceprt: Palpatine staggered, snarling, but the blistering energy that loured from his hands only intensified. He fed the power with his pain. "Anakin!" Mace called. His voice sounded distant, blurred, ; if it came from the bottom of a well. "Anakin, help me! This is your chance!" He felt Anakin's leap from the office floor to the ledge, felt his approach behind
