  1. Deceived again! It only LOOKS like I have a shuriken in my head!
  2. Even then, aren't border skirmishes disputes about "This land is ours!" and whatnot? :D
  3. Deception is a useful ability!
  4. I think a lot of the minor powers aren't as power hungry because, for one thing, they can't be. But also because attacking other minor powers is just going to piss off the closest major power and get them crunched anyways.
  5. I don't think Yoda even knew this though. I got the impression that Qui-Gon informs him of that ability later on. It seems as though the novelization supports this.
  6. Hahaha....Alans Chu or something I quit trying for creative nicknames because they were always taken. Only once have I not had alanschu work.
  7. I never liked Choplifter....perhaps because I sucked at it. There didn't seem to be a way to rescue the other buildings unless you went and crashed into it to set it on fire There was a similar game though, called Rescue Raiders. I still love that game even today. You were in a helicpoter with guided missiles, bombs, and machine guns (that later are replaced with air to ground missiles...very devastating). You slowly accumulated money, with which you could buy tanks, engineers (that could repair AA guns, infantry (useful for taking little base installations), Demolition trucks (the only thing that could take out the enemy base and win the level). And an anti-aircraft jeep that would shoot down the enemy helicopter. Both sides were equal (in terms of units), so it was just a lot of fun And it was all played from the same side scroller perspective that Choplifter! had
  8. My first name is Allan, my last name is Schumacher. An 'L' got dropped because when my e-mail address got set up, the person setting it up put it as "alanschu" However, I stayed with it because I got used to it and seems more balanced than "allanschu" It just sort of stuck. I'm curious how people pronounce it actually haha
  9. The thing I didn't like about Civ 3 was the lack of Zones of Control. As much as it frustrated me when I was younger, it is really the only way to set up a defensive border. It sucks to have a ton of troops on your border with fortifications and everything, but you miss one little angle tile and the guys just zip right on through.
  10. Giant rats? In an RPG game? Wow, sounds like this game is pushing the envelope for new game ideas
  11. For the most part from what I've heard and being completely anecdotal, was that the Allies had a large amount of respect for the German War Machine. I suspect it was a bit more personal for the Soviet, and perhaps the French and the English as well. The Americans? Well, them and the Germans were just really good at killing each other.
  12. Didn't I already say that?
  13. Nah, war is for protecting your borders from those ruthless AI players that have no respect for your borders.
  14. Not that it really matters what your NPCs lightside/darkside is. With max influence, the closest I've gotten is a little sliver away from max light/dark.
  15. That's only because it was German vs World Don't see Japan or Persia dominating any world wars either At least Germany needed a two front war with 3 superpowers (U.S. UK USSR), Japan died to only the US
  16. Germans > *
  17. What's the game like?
  18. Maybe I didn't mind Katie because she couldn't help but put in a better performance surrounded by everyone else. It's funny, I was just about to say Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman were my next favourites, but then I remember liking Neeson's teachings and Caine's undying support for Bruce! Given the context of the film though, it makes sense. Bale certainly played the Billionaire, Basejumping, spleunker to the T though
  19. Doh, I didn't get my edit in fast enough. But yeah, I heard he wanted to make a prequel movie, and rumor was it was going to be called Spaceballs 0.5
  20. On a side note, I think Christian Bale was perfectly cast. I really enjoyed his performance throughout the whole movie.
  21. LOL! <squeaky voice>Prepare ship.......AHEM Prepare ship, for ludicrous speed. Close all the shops in the mall, cancel the three ring circus, tie down all animals in the zoo! I heard Mel was considering making a prequel spoof called Spaceballs 0.5
  22. Ewan McGregor is cool! As for female stars......seems I suck at this. No future for me in casting. I've enjoyed Jessica Alba's previous experience in comic book movie (Sin City), and I'll probably see Fantastic 4 for her alone :D Based on what I remember of Claire Danes in Terminator 3 (what great source material for finding a DA!), I think she might do ok. She seemed to be able to handle a determined character, and sort of had that "important DA" type look to her with her hair and everything. Hmmmm, maybe someone overkill like Julia Roberts (and likely increasing the budget tenfold for her salary alone)? :D Although I think the role is more geared to someone a little younger however. Since we were raiding WB for Katie Holmes, how about other WB TV show stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar (lol, somehow I think not), or Charisma Carpenter (certainly easy on the eyes).
  23. You guys are having way too much fun. Sadly enough, I keep trying to click on the links.
  24. Hehe, I was like 4 when I first played it. I didn't play the game properly though. I always found it more fun to trap the bad guys than to collect the lodestones.
