  1. Did you just take a picture of yourself????
  2. Ditto! A truly non-linear game (in that I could do different parts of the quest in different orders....none of this "oh look I have a ton of sidequests, despite the fact that the main plot must be played through in exactly the same way no matter what" crap that is passed off as non-linear today). Not only that, but it let you bake bread, and apparently you could craft your own sword too. (I never got the hang of it, but there were books that told you how to do it!). I loved shooting the breeze with people, and when you audition to be the Avatar (where the audition was basically picking the most appropriate line, from "-I- am the Avatar" to "I -AM- the Avatar" and so on ) was good fun too. Not to mention I found the game to be genuinely difficult. If I went running into Destard, the Dragons were gonna have my way with me. I should see if I can find my old copy of the game. I think I saw it when I picked up my close combat games from my parent's.....but I was too on a quest to find CC, and didn't think to grab it.
  3. The most accurate representation Evah!
  4. His innocence is what makes the film. His limited intelligence prevents him from having any bad thoughts, and loves completely unconditionally. It's one of the few movies that gets me choked up.
  5. I never cared for the Ultima Underworld games. It was probably because I was so madly in love (like Furries are with animals) with Ultima VII at the time that anything Ultima that wasn't like it was just teh suxx0r.
  6. Hmmm...I've never been at one of those huge LAN parties...but I'm pretty sure I would never pull my pants down....at least not my underwear too. Unless that guy was so sure of his l33t quaking skills that he played Strip Quake 3 or something.
  7. I'm pretty sure that's what he just said... Yup
  8. There were sequel offers? I agree that I don't think they'd be able to recapture the charm and beauty of the original. Now that I think about it, I really like Forrest Gump
  9. Hmmm...those people must be "furries" or whatever. You know...those ones that love animals.....not just "love" but love animals....as in IN LOVE
  10. LOL! Murphy's Law at the very least
  11. Did I correct him? I was actually commenting about Ender's......props in the bedroom. Meh, score for me if I did!
  12. The ping-pong scene was neat! And all the "old" footage with famous people like JFK in it.
  13. Where are you from Nur? But it's all the US fault of course
  14. Ack, that scared the crap out of me when I posted my message....wasn't expecting the horror!
  15. I saw an ad sponsored by PETA that was trying to say that milk causes impotence. If that was the case, I shouldn't even be able to get an erection! I drank so much milk as a kid (and continue now, at the ripe age of 24), and I have no difficulties "rising to the occassion." I know Ender has concerns with them because of their second hand smoke episode, but I really enjoyed the episode of Bullsh!t that addressed PETA. It was particularly interesting to hear that in a corporate document, PETA recognizes that sometimes putting an animal to sleep is the only ethical treatment left for an animal....yet they have no problems smashing through the windows of a dude that's in charge of an animal shelter and terrorizing his family. I also find it interesting that the Vice President has a pig valve in her heart.
  16. It looks so clean and purty. That's it, no more red meat for me!
  17. I certainly was NOT wondering that. Thanks for putting the idea in my head.
  18. Oh noes, "most" of the "evil" people that "you've" met are "white." Therefore, most of the evil people must be American
  19. Seems like the USA is quite the cesspool now doesn't it. It troubles me because I have images of Indy saying these things.
  20. Lets keep our fingers crossed and they shock us with a huge content update, and that's why it took so long. And it also completely nullifies the work of the Restoration Project
  21. Dammit, I too had to confirm such a claim!
  22. I shook my head a little when the Islamic community began protesting that the badguys in the latest season of 24 were [supposedly] Islamic. Maybe I'm unique, but I don't watch a TV show and start hating/stereotyping muslims because there are some "bad" ones on television. Especially considering in season 1 the badguys were very white as the Red Herring, and Eastern European at the end, in season 2 they had Muslims (though no one seemed to care then) as the red herring, only to learn about a more nefarious plot by a third party. Meh...people get too worked up about small things IMO. But maybe I'm just an arrogant/ignorant white man.
