  1. Meh, I don't even mind the math. Although once it gets calculus based, then it becomes a bit more burden-some. Fortunately watching a CT slide down the stairs and roll off the railing into the water doesn't require any math calculations on my part
  2. SPECIAL is what drew me into the Lionheart Demo. And while I didn't mind the demo, I found it too combat-oriented. I was considering getting it, but then I heard that after Barcelona, I should be prepared to do lots of fighting. I consider it a poor design choice when the character creation screen strongly recommends a combat skill. I mean, I'd probably pick one anyways, but it certainly gives you an idea of what the game will be like.
  3. I wasn't either, but it was fun playing with a steady team of guys (which I usually was). But doing anything with the same people is usually fun, since it becomes more of a social thing.
  4. Meh, chokes is one thing. But if I recall, from what I saw I got the impression that Toronto was being horribly outplayed, especially in the early parts of the series, when it goes 1-0 for Toronto in OT, with shots being like 50-20 for Ottawa.
  5. Hehehe. I guess I'm just a Fallout fanboi :">
  6. The PvP is fun... But I'll admit, it didn't catch me the same way it did when I played the beta a while back.
  7. If I recall, wasn't Belfour stellar in the last playoffs against Ottawa?
  8. "I'm attacking the darkness!" Although I've said it before and I'll say it again: "Gooooooooooooo skill-based approach"
  9. Everytime something cool physics related happens in a game, I can't help but think "Who says Physics isn't fun??"
  10. Never played Vampire: The Masquerade. I heard it was pretty weak though :\
  11. He's also the same guy that said lets strike, this deal sucks. Only to later sign a crappy deal, when the players he represents are going "WTF? Why did we hold out to begin with???"
  12. I never really did like that. It encourages and reinforces fighting above almost everything else. Or metagaming where you sneak around and get mad xp for sneaking, and then go back and kill everyone anyways since there's more xp to be had.
  13. I thought there were similarities Although I never confused the too...no no not ME
  14. If anyone is up for a game, I'm sure I could find some time to squeeze it into my schedule
  15. Does that count our conversation? Because if it did, I wanna reiterate that I think spam is unavoidable! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm afraid that includes our conversation....... I was reeeeeeeeeeeally out of it at that point <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Amateur! :D I don't know why, but I am nocturnal (well, I can fathom a guess, since I stayed up late in my formative years playing video games). It seems no matter how tired I get, once night falls, I'm no longer tired!
  16. And we're mumblin' And we're screamin' And you don't know What we're singin' Buy our album We're Nirvana At least we don't sound Like Madonna
  17. You're supposed to love games. Not be IN love with games.
  18. I think someone created this thread first. You'll notice Fionavar is not the first poster. EDIT: In fact, if you look at the times, you'll see that's exactly what happened.
  19. I was talking about you....and everyone else on this forum ^_^
  20. My my...the game really has seemed to have changed. I'll see if I can squeeze it in for my 4 o'clock on Sunday :D
  21. I liked how a game like Half-Life 2 tried to actually integrate physics into it's puzzles and whatnot. They're still simplistic, but I enjoyed the slight difference to standard FPS play.
  22. Finding out that he didn't want to do XXX 2 made me like him more :D
  23. The vents exist because they want to try to stay true to their promise of having some sort of open ended story. If they made it so that everyone would have to go through some bottleneck, then they would have failed in their project goal. Even Spector was disappointed that there were 3 people that you had to kill in the original Deus Ex. Personally, I think it's neat that designers are trying to vary the gameplay a little.
