  1. I disagree. I don't think any of the IE games had twitch in them. It's hard to be "twitch" when you can insta pause the game at any time. How else could Hades (the anti-twitch) complete it? I do agree that people underestimate the combat in it though. I think it's probably because it doesn't seem to have as much focus as other IE games.
  2. I have never played a PnP adventure that would have had me coming close to using a 9th level spell. What's the "real" wish like? Just whatever you want happens?
  3. Since I haven't bothered to read the thread at all: Iolo, Shamino, and Dupre
  4. I hated it when an NPC would "notice" something behind a trap that had just popped up for me. I'd have to tell them to stop, which would only work until their next heartbeat at which point they would try to go interact with it again.
  5. IMO no other 9th level spell compares to Timestop. That's just me of course.
  6. I think she just does it because she knows it will get under some people's skin. There's plenty of games out there worse than Torment.
  7. That would explain their recent dominance of the console market.
  8. This is a little disturbing. I may read too much into it, but it sounds like Obsidian wants to branch out into other genres than just RPG. I know Josh, for example, is an avid fan of games like God of War and Ninja Gaiden Black.. Own technology + Console only + freedom to the type of game they can create = ? Are we going to see action games coming from Obsidian in the future? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If they're good then I seriously do not care.
  9. What? If that's what you got from Gromnir's post, then I'm not sure what to think....
  10. Since no one else gave them props, I feel I should give some mentions to my homeboys Iolo, Shamino, and Dupre!
  11. That would be interesting... Especially for the controversy that would spill out for all those who want Revan marrying Bastila.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> All the more reason to make it canon!
  12. Which is why I'm wearing the UV goggles as well. It is nice to sneak up right behind a guy and kill him with a single shot to the head though. I know you get sneakier as you level up, but I've never noticed a complete absence of sound like I do with the stealthy skill. IIRC it also gives you a silencer at the beginning of the game.
  13. Oh I used that. But the stealth let me walk around without making any noise while crouched. It's useful for when you are out of combat (and don't need a gajillion move points to move around). As an NPC, I liked Marcus. He was just too reckless with his minigun.
  14. Oh probably. I think it'd be funny though, if he did have one and posted it, and then when this Elven dude went to use it, it was not available since he wasn't fast enough.
  15. The 100% camo, all the time was a nice perk! Coupled with mad skills and just seemed to be perfect for the role. I had the stealth skill as well, which made things particularly fun as we'd attack foritified positions at night. Nothing nightgoggles and a laser scope can't take care of
  16. Just post it here, on the forum. First come first serve.
  17. He's too busy letting them take off in spaceships so he can somehow sap their innate powers. Funny how he demands that a CRPG be held accountable and anything less than 100% rule following is not acceptable.
  18. I think you missed the part about staying in business. *ding*
  19. I loved Shadow. Hardcore to the bone. I'd have him single-handedly take out patrols in the night and no one would even know he was there, aside from the odd muzzle flash. By the time they went to where it was, he as long gone....shooting them in the back! :D
  20. I doubt that. They don't have a problem when people make mods in the Star Wars universe, with a different game! THere was a mod for Battlefield 1942 out called Galactic Conquest. Unlike a company like say, Fox (Interactive), they didn't go around shutting down a mod because it used their content. The only request Lucasarts made to the mod team was to not use licensed material like the John Williams music. They had zero problems with people making a game out of it....even though they don't get any money for it.
  21. Yes, well you can blame all that on KotOR being based on the d20 RPG engine. I don't much like it either. Watering down lightsabers due to game balance while allowing rediculously powerful characters at high levels is an excellent example of the game mechanics in d20, and Star Wars really is just one example of this. I liked WEG's Star Wars game much better. But since KotOR games are based on it all, I guess we're stuck with it... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only if you're a backwards thinker like Hades. If a better, more appropriate (and hopefully balanced) ruleset can be found (or created)...it should be used.
  22. What are you talking about? Timestop is easily the most balanced spell in existence "
  23. I did find it hard to be evil to Sulik.
