  1. Random Races? Any other rules or concerns? Game size? Etc etc?
  2. If I were you, I'd probably fall back on "OMG but it took them how many years. It wasn't like that upon release." I haven't played much with NWN over the years as I primarily played the games for their single player experiences. I did play some mods, but many of them were just garbage so I gave up on trying to filter through the garbage. Some where very good, but they're so short that I finish them in a very short time so I just move on to something else anyways.
  3. I have played plenty of mods for NWN. You say they only charge mods that have new commerical resource put into them? What free mods have they released outside of Witcher's Wake (which didn't get finished the last time I checked). Clearly it's not like that for you. It's obvious that you have not even looked into D&D Online if you were to make this claim. If you did, you would be chastizing D&D Online for a completely different reason than what you are saying.
  4. Fine...I'm in :D
  5. Hmmm, it is part of the IGN network. But I know Bioware posts announcements about NWVault being updated and all that fun stuff. Also, I've heard (from a Bioware employee) that the building they work in is one of the largest bandwidth pipes in the city to support NWVault.
  6. "Thousands" of "great" mods?
  7. How did Baldur's Gate do a good job of it? Sure, you could have people stand in one spot, but in my experience they'd just stand there and get hit. As for NWN, I found that once the heartbeat went off they'd go running around again. This was doubly obvious if they wanted to disarm a trap or unlock a door.
  8. I think Fallout 2 might have had something like that. THeir NPC control was a gajillion times better than Fallout 1. Certain NPCs only had certain options, which was a nice touch as well. No way to make Vic go kamikaze.
  9. Bioware also, AFAIK, does not host servers to play the games on. Though they do host NWVault.
  10. I don't know if my Dad has any in stock...else I probably would.
  11. To Aliens??
  12. Bioware didn't create a massively populated world, with free content additions. I'm willing to bet that they will both have quite different playing experiences.
  13. Hmmm.....I have a Bioware games night every second Saturday. Perhaps I should flip a coin as to which one to do. They both have their appeal
  14. Weapon Preference was usually something with burst fire, target priorities were usually a target in my general direction, and the weapon mode was full freaking auto
  15. I just enjoy highlighting your inconsistencies. For the record, what CRPGs do have a "standing guard" order (that works the way you want it to?).
  16. Hmmmm. How "hokey" is it. I won't be able to restart until I get home, but if it's not too silly, I might enable it.
  17. If you haven't already bought a GameCube to play this game, I doubt you ever would have.
  18. I agree with Moose. It seems to be all about the memory with respect to people I have seen play the game. You don't get anywhere close to the same game.
  19. Can you even use the computer while your party is in combat? Fallout didn't have Standing Guard either ^_^
  20. The upcoming RTS is Empire At War.
  21. Agreed. I loved TIE Fighter. I found X-Wing much more difficult, but I would have been younger at the time. I also enjoyed X-Wing: Alliance, the first two (and I suppose the third) Jedi Knight games (never played Dark Forces), and both KOTOR games. Battlefront was OK too. Though flying sucked ass IMO. I'm anxious about Empire at War. I like building Death Stars and Star Destroyers and having huge fleet battles....but I didn't care so much for the ground combat.
  22. I've never played with the aliens. The second I see Sci-Fi, I cringe and select Realistic.
  23. *ding* teh winnar! His PC probably wasn't doing anything because he was fumbling with the controls.
  24. Should be: Query: Should I kick the pitiful meatbag into space, Master? "
