  1. I had only found one "unique" gun and that was the MP5-SD3 (which didn't sound very silenced at all....I was disappointed) by the time I had taken the first town.
  2. Yes. Globe maps are preferred over the lakes or whatever maps.
  3. I'm thinking on not going with Gus Tarballs for my power romp through the beginning though. Yes, the 8 levels is awesome as he interrupts pretty much everyone. But damn I can't stand all the "Woody's" Maybe I'll go for that dude with 6 levels, though I love Gus' gun.
  4. I'm pretty sure I do have them. I just never played them. I got the impression from their descriptions that they weren't really adventures.
  5. No no, I'm game either way. It'll be a different experience. I'll have to be careful because I have historically been a fast expander (though that's less possible in Civ 4 than in previous Civ games).
  6. They can compete if their plan is not dependent on having market dominance.
  7. I know with the latest patch they already seem pretty raging without that. I couldn't imagine WITH it :D I typically prefer longer game times, as it lets you use your units longer before they go obsolete, but I'm game for any speed.
  8. Which ones were those? I can only think of Witch's Wake.
  9. I like Random leaders. Prevent people from forumulating a coherent strategy until the game actually starts. Plus it livens up the experience, as all are on equal footing then. Raging Barbarians eh? I've yet to play with that mode on. Marathon speed of course? :D
  10. A culture man eh? Give me Catherine! Or Bismarck....or Roosevelt...or Washington...........or Tokugawa....or Kublai Khan....or anyone :D.
  11. Well that pretty much does it then.
  12. Random Races? Any other rules or concerns? Game size? Etc etc?
  13. If I were you, I'd probably fall back on "OMG but it took them how many years. It wasn't like that upon release." I haven't played much with NWN over the years as I primarily played the games for their single player experiences. I did play some mods, but many of them were just garbage so I gave up on trying to filter through the garbage. Some where very good, but they're so short that I finish them in a very short time so I just move on to something else anyways.
  14. I have played plenty of mods for NWN. You say they only charge mods that have new commerical resource put into them? What free mods have they released outside of Witcher's Wake (which didn't get finished the last time I checked). Clearly it's not like that for you. It's obvious that you have not even looked into D&D Online if you were to make this claim. If you did, you would be chastizing D&D Online for a completely different reason than what you are saying.
  15. Hmmm, it is part of the IGN network. But I know Bioware posts announcements about NWVault being updated and all that fun stuff. Also, I've heard (from a Bioware employee) that the building they work in is one of the largest bandwidth pipes in the city to support NWVault.
  16. "Thousands" of "great" mods?
  17. How did Baldur's Gate do a good job of it? Sure, you could have people stand in one spot, but in my experience they'd just stand there and get hit. As for NWN, I found that once the heartbeat went off they'd go running around again. This was doubly obvious if they wanted to disarm a trap or unlock a door.
  18. I think Fallout 2 might have had something like that. THeir NPC control was a gajillion times better than Fallout 1. Certain NPCs only had certain options, which was a nice touch as well. No way to make Vic go kamikaze.
  19. Bioware also, AFAIK, does not host servers to play the games on. Though they do host NWVault.
  20. I don't know if my Dad has any in stock...else I probably would.
