  1. I'm not saying it's not there....but we're just a grunt. THere's no guarantee we even know how to use duct tape. I think the first guy would have been able to help us, if he wasn't zombified. He looked like he was certified in duct tape usage.
  2. It's been a while since I played, so I don't remember the weapon models. I'm not sure how well it would work on a shotgun, since there's the pump it could interfere with. The assault rifle seemed rather compact IIRC. Plus it assumes you've actually found duct tape. The flashlight could also be an intrinsicly safe one, that requires you to twist it to turn it on. But the reason why I liked it is that I had to make a choice between being able to see something before it jumped out at me, or having my weapon ready.
  3. That is actually a compromise, and was not something I had read into any of your previous posts. Before it just looked like "I don't mind if they add new stuff, as long as I get all the stuff I want."
  4. I didn't like it because it made the game more difficult. I liked it because it provided an opportunity cost. EDIT: Besides, I never really bought into duct taping the flashlight to your pistol. It would be awkward, assuming you could actually find a place on the pistol to duct tape the thing to. You can't just wrap the tape around the pistol, unless you'd rather never fire the gun again.
  5. When you've consistently flipflopped on a great many issues, including Fallout 3, it's difficult to take what you say too literally. As for the most recent "irony" comment, it's clear you and I just have different definitions of what a "middle-ground" is. I don't consider it to be "flexibility" to have exactly the game you want, with extras added in for other people. Allowing the inclusion of game components that you don't have to use is just an added bonus, and in no way will affect you at all. It doesn't seem flexible to me at all. I'm quite confident that the inclusion of a first-person view or real time combat would be rejected, if it meant cutting into any of the "traditional" Fallout items. It's easy to ask for extra, bonus stuff that doesn't affect your play style. I'm sure everyone would like that.
  6. Nope. Actually out of respect for some requests by other posters, I've taken it easy on you.
  7. What about the video game-esque missile shooting scene "
  8. Yup. I typically switch to Slavery relatively quickly for the savings in upkeep. It helps if you find yourself expanding a bit too fast. I have actually never been a fan of Hereditary rule. The biggest benefit of Representation IMO is the science beakers. Though I guess you don't have too many specialists at this stage of the game. But I do find I prefer having it long before I can actually research representation.
  9. I would really like it if there was an old Highwayman you can restore and fuel up with powercells :D
  10. I hadn't heard of the % of the profits. Though I did hear he did not enjoy making the film. However, I also heard that he was the consummate professional, and never complained or anything.
  11. That may have had something to do with it. I haven't seen either of those movies in so long that I don't even remember what they are about. The only part I remember was the teenage boy falling into the water, only to have some barrier magically appear on the top of the water so he was no trapped.
  12. Players of the Ultima and Wizardry games would disagree! " Let the fun begin!!!
  13. I wouldn't entirely disagree. Though Pyramids is rather useful. Representation can be pretty useful in the early game, if only for the happiness bonus. A switch to slavery (which I assume you've done) could help you with the final push.
  14. If you get the game, we'll have to make a Geneforge thread for all of our Geneforge lovin' I should get a commission!
  15. Excellent, excellent movie. I just saw it not too long ago myself.
  16. You should definetly get the weapons mods. Makes the game more enjoyable. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I disagree...I actually liked the fact that I couldn't use my flashlight and a weapon at the same time.
  17. You have stone near St. Petersburg don't you? Coupled with the huge amount of trees you can chop down, I bet you could rush the Pyramids pretty easily.
  18. I haven't played the Avernum games.
  19. There's three games (well Geneforge games anyways), and they all have demos. I'd suggest giving them a download. They aren't very big.
  20. You'll likely have quite a hard time finding it in a store. Geneforge
  21. Face looks to be quite flushed....must have been having a good time ^_^
