Are you running with the hotfix EUIX? I have heard that that helps the Japanese out a bit (though they are still too scared of USSR over the rest of China).

Modular design of Source would make me think no. We might get some extensions to it though.

As much as you or I can agree with that, what we do know is that Lucasarts had decided to go in house with KOTOR 3 (before its eventual cancellation). I believe this is even when people like Feargus said they'd be open to doing another one.
-
Well, you could argue SWTOR exists. It's just not finished I'm willing to be there's a lot more substance to SWTOR than KOTOR 3

Maybe KOTOR 2 didn't sell so well? There's more to it than BioWare going "Hey, lets make KOTOR 3!" You're talking as if BioWare was the one that also made KOTOR 2, and also made a huge amount of money selling KOTOR 2. It's not like BioWare is doing poorly having not made KOTOR 3. Here's the crux of it though: Neither Lucasarts nor BioWare are interested in making KOTOR 3 at this point. BioWare HAS, however, been interested in exploring the MMO market. But yeah, they as a company shouldn't do what they are interested in, and do what you want them to do. Which is ironic, because they made KOTOR which is a game that they were interested in making at the time. Why should they give Obsidian a chance to clean everything up, if maybe they weren't happy with what Obsidian ultimately did. And no, you can't say that the game would have been out yet because they weren't just "sitting on their asses for 4 years [doing] nothing." Lucasarts and Obsidian (nor BioWare) don't simply exist to make KOTOR games for you. As a result of Obsidian not working on KOTOR 3, we're about to get Alpha Protocol...a game that I think looks like it will be a ton of fun. Shafted? Please. For starters, you "consolers" got both KOTOR and KOTOR 2 before it was released on the PC. History is overburdened with PC games that are now console exclusives. Heck, you talk about Halo, which was originally being designed for the Mac and PC, but then later came out on the XBOX exclusively for over a year. I don't complain about it though. It is what it is. This is basically what your argument is coming down to? Essentially "I want to play more Star Wars games in The Old Republic time frame but since SWTOR is an MMO, and hence probably only for the PC, I can't!!!" It's plain as day. To say otherwise is simply lying to yourself. I have no idea what your point here is. Thank you for proving my point. Your comment is simply overflowing with maturity. Face it, this is what you are doing: You are pouting because KOTOR 3 isn't being made, and SWTOR is, and have already passed judgment on people that have expressed an interest in SWTOR and assumptions that anyone interested in SWTOR, is against KOTOR 3 (because you've done this to me already). I stand by my statement. You're simply acting childish because a company has gone in a different direction than you wanted them to do, and have now demonstrated that you'd like their product to do poorly simply out of spite. There is no way you can construe this as being in any way a mature reaction to the news. Why would Obsidian do it cheap? Or is this just wishful thinking? Because they decided to make a different game than KOTOR 3? You're only ticked off because you're acting like a spoiled brat. But yeah, BioWare has that history of shafting the poor console gamers, hence why they've decided to go ahead with console versions of Dragon Age, and seem intent on establishing a franchise with Mass Effect. You have nothing to be ticked off about. SWTOR isn't being made instead of KOTOR 3. If there was no SWTOR, there's no guarantee that there'd be KOTOR 3. Especially since it was canceled internally by Lucasarts several years ago.

Just had my first taste of combat and I did enjoy it. I demanded Danzig from Poland to start the whole thing off. Decided to manually manage the eastern front. Had to get used to the fact that only troops all starting the fight at the same time start the fight off together, otherwise they end up in the replacement pool. I don't really care for the really long delay after attacks though (it can be reduced through technology though). However, I probably can't complain too much because I ended up defeating Poland in exactly one month. I would echo Lord of the Flies sentiment to wait on purchasing the game. I'm having fun with it, but I could easily see it being a chore for a lot of people. Though I didn't have the diplomacy issues that a lot of other people are having, but at the same time I figured I shouldn't game the system like I did in HOI2, and actually did diplomacy and espionage from the beginning, and didn't do a gigantic troop build up/aggressive actions until later in the pre-war period. Right now the Axis consists of Hungary, Italy, Germany, and Croatia, and the Allies consist of UK, France, Poland, and South Africa ( I think Canada just joined too but I can't remember).

What about Nick? Demigod?

I know what you meant by the #1 System (you could argue that the PS2 was #1 in it's time, but whatever). Here's what you said: why would they agree to create and make KotOR I 'for an Xbox release' if they had no desire of continuing their affairs with the business' Number 1 system BioWare has clearly continued their affairs on the XBOX systems, so your statement makes no sense whatsoever. As for sequels, Mass Effect 2 is the first sequel that BioWare has worked on since Baldur's Gate 2. They haven't really been a sequel type company. The fact of the matter is, after KOTOR 1, there story was completely tied up with no sequel being "necessary" to appease the fans that you claim they've alienated. It's not a bad copout, it's the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts. Simply because you have no idea what's going on behind closed doors with BioWare doesn't mean that you can hold them accountable for people buying XBOX 360s in the HOPES that maybe they will release a third installment of the KOTOR franchise. Sorry you got your hopes up for it, but with the only news of KOTOR 3 being that Lucasarts has canceled it, you made a foolhardy bet. Especially given that KOTOR 2 wasn't even made by BioWare. You have a strong sense of entitlement. There's other fun games on the XBOX 360. Heck, BioWare made one of them, and they're about to release another one. Your bias is sickening. I don't wish ill will for games that you're looking forward to, and if this is the type of maturity you wish to display because you're disappointed that KOTOR 3 isn't being made, then I suggest you grow up. There's probably a better chance of there being a KOTOR 3 if SWTOR is a success rather than a failure. If SWTOR is a bust, then it'll likely be the final nail in the coffin for the franchise.

Matthew, that'll work just fine! As for it being like Mass Effect, it is similar, but less (i.e. no) distinction between the classes and what abilities you can specialize in. -
For sure. They made it to the Moscow in that single offensive. It was truly impressive.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Interesting, because I'm sitting here trying to make sense of what you wrote: I stated no such thing. I was never talking about KOTOR 1. BioWare made KOTOR 1, but we have no indication that they cared about making a second one, nor a third one. At the end of KOTOR 1, the story is pretty much cleanly wrapped up. There's no loose ends, no reason to carry the story forward. KOTOR 2, with all of its unanswered questions, is Obsidian's baby, not BioWare's. Why should BioWare be held responsible for not showing respect to half of their audience? You're referring to their XBOX audience, and last I checked every game they have made since KOTOR has been on one of the XBOX systems. I don't really see this as being disloyal at all. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. I am not rooting for no KOTOR 3. I'd love for a third installment of the game to come out. I'm not going to be devastated if it doesn't come out though, and since I like good games, I always hope that every game is good, SWTOR included. I think SWTOR is an incredibly ambitious goal, but if they can deliver on what they've said they want to deliver on, I think it will be a hell of an experience.

http://www.geek.com/articles/games/square-...games-20090423/ 2 million EDIT: That's the franchise. Though I'm skeptical that Deus Ex 2 makes up any significant chunk of that, given how poorly received it was. I'll look a bit more later. EDIT 2: Hmmm, I remember it doing fairly well. Well enough for a GOTY edition as well. The number I was going to say off the top of my head was over a million sold, but not really sure if that was the case. Having said that, it did underperform IMO, because IMO it's probably the best game I've ever played =D

Deus Ex sold quite well.

Are the titles simply a label? I'd prefer to be referred to as a tech specialist, with my own focus specified. -
I correlate coolness with post count. Gina, you have one month to hit Arch-Mage! .....GO!
-
There is a lot similar to HOI2, but I think there's also a significant amount that is different that I don't know if that will work as well as you'd like :\ Particularly from a combat/managing your armies perspective.

I don't recall hearing him haha.

Haha "teh suck connection" indeed. Y'all are spoiled! Of course, I was content with my 4x CD-Burner for the longest time. I have a feeling that saving a couple seconds is a lower priority for me Here's my work though:

I loved interacting with Zevran as a character. I thought he was really well written. It was just too bad he was literally the exact same spec as my main character, so I never really went running around with him in my group.

Is there a way to set it to go single core without loading the game first and then setting CPU affinity in task manager?
