Dragon Age Origins
Now this is a perspective that does make sense!

Batman: Arkham Asylum
I don't even care if the combat is easy. It's frickin' fun hahaha. It's just so fluid.

360 Revival Thread
Throw Batman: Arkham effing Asylum on there. Seriously I'd love it if this game had a level where you just fought hordes of endless badguys.

Best Star Wars Game (other than KotOR)
I like the more modern version

Star Wars the Old Republic
So just a hunch then?

Batman: Arkham Asylum
I didn't see any sign of Robin in the demo haha.

Star Wars the Old Republic
This is the video I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faQ0iPHy1JM The graphics are stylized, and yeah a bit like Clone Wars. The nice thing about stylized graphics is that they stand the test of time better than "realistic" graphics, because realistic graphics ultimately don't look realistic as graphics progress. On the other hand, here's the original KOTOR: SWTOR:

Kotor3: Ideas, Suggestions, Discussion Part 26
What does freedom of speech have to do with blatantly displaying that you don't know anything about the game? He has all the right in the world to state his incorrect assumptions about the game. Just as I have all the right in the world to call him on it.

Best Star Wars Game (other than KotOR)
The Lego Star Wars games WERE awesome.

Half-Life 2
I liked it. ,o/ I played through it in like two days of pretty long sessions. I remember staying up until 4 or 5 in the morning to ultimately finish it off.

Best Star Wars Game (other than KotOR)
RTS is Real Time Strategy. Like Starcraft or Company of Heroes.

Star Wars the Old Republic
The game is using stylized graphics. I don't think it's a bad decision at all. To be perfectly honest, watching gameplay videos of it pretty much reminded me of KOTOR. Which textures in particular were you thinking of, from KOTOR?

Dragon Age Origins
haha I was going to be an ass and say "technically Flemeth isn't a dragon" But yeah, I don't recall Flemeth Dragon being all that different from other Dragons

North Korea: Great Country, or Greatest Country?
"Buh, buh, if the USA is so great, how come people are running away to the Soviet Union??? Riddle me that!!!"- You, circa 1930. They were? What exactly were the emigration rates of the United States in the 1930s compared to before (and even After)? It'd be grand if you could also show those that emigrated to the Soviet Union. I know immigration went way down, given the Great Depression as well as US Laws limiting immigration imposed in 1927.

Dragon Age Origins
Prepare to be dissapointed, Gaider has stated they are simply animals. And they have been driven to extinction so they arent even particularly hard to kill, proof being the video that shows as long as you have a tank on them they will gleefully ignore the mage nuking them. Was that the Flemeth fight?

Star Wars the Old Republic
At this time I won't be working on it, as it's made out of the Austin studio. However, I'm not against the idea of relocating to the Austin studio I agree that making a game that appeals to two very different crowds is very risky. IIRC though, people said that WoW would be too simple to be successful, and that it went against what it means to be an MMO because it made solo play so viable. I'm willing to keep an open eye on it simply because they ARE trying something different

As Matt said, there are going to be places where Thorton is forced to fight. Now, stealth and patience can certainly allow some players to bypass the thicker encounters with some cunning, but a hands-off run is not a plausible strategy. Alright then. I was just trying to rationalize/defend Alvin

Dragon Age Origins
Yeah I agree. They do find some creative ways of doing it though at some places, so it doesn't seem like someone is just lecturing you on the things that your character is already supposed to know. The two that I can think of are the Dalish Elf and Human Noble (the only other origin I am really familiar with is Mage Origin, and their situation is a bit different).

Explore around and you'll find people to talk to, as well as Codex entries and stuff like that. If you want to learn about the lore of the land, a lot of effort has been put into it for sure.

I found HL 2 a bit boring (episodes got progressively better), but let's get back on topic:Alanschu, will my team be effective if I choose to play with a warrior, a dog, an archer and a healer, or are damage dealing mages a must have in DA too? I find a balanced party tends to be the smoothest playthrough. The party you describe would probably work pretty well. Mages are very useful, but they don't need to be damage dealers to be useful.

could those parts be bypassed with the stealth/invisible type skill? I was just wondering if maybe a player with a LOT of patience could make it work?

Star Wars the Old Republic
I think it looks good. But the looks can be deceiving. I'm skeptical that it'll be as immersive as they are claiming, but certainly hopeful that it will be. I do think that the gameplay videos shown so far do look promising.

Star Wars the Old Republic
Pidesco can join our "thing" as far as I'm concerned. It'll be a lot more fun that way.

Dragon Age Origins
Wait, it'd be a dumb copout for them to do dragon's differently? Dragons are seen as the smartest and most cunning of creatures in fantasy, turning that on it's head just to make them dumb monsters for you to kill seems like a cop-out to me. Could archdemons be called that because the are awesomer than the regular run-of-the-mill demons? Dragons still seem to be quite smart and cunning from what I can tell. And I didn't get the impression that the Archdemon is called the Archdemon simply because he's more awesome than a standard dragon haha.
