Hoops 13-14
That's interesting. I wonder how much of it depends on the player or system they are going up against. I remember hearing a story of college players saying that most of their zones would force baseline to try to trap (which is often a good play), but against Jordan it basically meant giving up a dunk. Though those are college players, but it was the same with the Jordan Rules which was basically "force middle so that you can get as much help as possible as quickly as possible."

What flavors of voice do you guys want to see in dialogue options?
I always found citing the conversation with Ravel misleading since it's a very unique (and powerful) conversation, that in my opinion reinforces the theme behind what Ravel is interested in by asking TNO that particular question.

Uganda Criminalizes Homosexuality
I think I missed something, sorry. Of course. People that see something as abhorrent are going to be more likely to speak up. I thought my comment was mostly neutral but I don't think it was taken that way hahaha.

Well, except that the confessions are reflective of what one personally believes. To which it's safe to now assume that AGX-17 loves romance content and prefers that Avellone writes only that type of content. I wouldn't agree, but I'm not one to judge you. Bruce will probably be a fan and talk up the topic with you, however.

Uganda Criminalizes Homosexuality
Well, the thing about any point of view is that if carefully crafted and presented to a particular audience, you can persuade them to agree to your perspective. Kind of like The Third Wave experiment where a high school teacher was able to rather rapidly impose some fascist tendencies onto his class which spurred some controversy due to it spreading beyond the school classes itself (there's an entertaining after school special about it ). I mean, it's not like any persecuted minority were innately born hated by their oppressors. I think there can also be an impact in codifying those actions in law, similar to how there are groups of people that don't do drugs simply because they were taught that they were illegal and therefore bad. Whether or not you consider this impact a good or bad thing is up to the person I suppose.

Thief 4
Given how much he tore into it during pre-release, I found John Walker's review interesting http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/02/24/thief-review/ Basically it has elements in it that he really doesn't like, but in general he really enjoys the game.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I can see it being an issue of people not knowing how to play their class (although that seems like something with some patience, could be taught?) For a game that is almost 10 years old, too, there's also the people that are "I already know how to play this game and just want to play end game with a particular class combo" and have 5 other max level toons themselves? I can see and appreciate both sides of the equation.

What are you playing now
What's the game most like? (and can you alter the resolution) I'm not familiar with it at all (feel free to post me a link if I missed it on this forum).

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I have never really had an issue with people trading their time for money. As long as it's not something that provides opportunities that players otherwise wouldn't have (in this case, that doesn't seem to be the case). Plus it's waaay late in the product life cycle. I imagine the concern is over potentially using this to sneak in design elements that encourage the purchase of MTX, and the like?

Has this turned into a discussion about "what it really means to roleplay?" Or maybe "What it means to be good roleplaying? If so, see this post. It's a thread about sharing what "against typical convention" preferences you have. I don't think the idea is to actually get defensive and challenge people when they share said confession. Easier to recognize "Orogun prefers different mechanics than I do" and ultimately probably more productive.

Given that the game isn't out until tomorrow, the wiser bet would be that he hasn't yet played the game.

Why won'd developers support laptop video cards?
Um, actually it does. As you say, laptops aren't that uncommon. But the reality is that your particular card/chipset isn't a particularly powerful one. And if it doesn't have the hardware power there's little hope that the software is going to get the type of increased performance that you are hoping for. It's not as simple as "support my card" (and besides, that'd be more in line for the game developer doing the work, rather than the chipset manufacturer). I can through 2 GB on a TNT2 but it's not going to make a lick of difference.
