  1. I believe I saved right before this and tried several different options. In fact, I'm absolutely certain that I Yeah, I just checked and you never need to fight anyone. Regardless of stats, you can still wear what you need. Wait, there is a way of not fighting them after entering the room? The leader always finds out I'm an impostor.
  2. It would help if you said more about exactly how things are going wrong. What skills are you using on each character? Priests offer much more than simple healing, and wizards can be used for controlling and weakening enemies rather than dealing direct damage. Are your "tanks" meatshields that deal no damage? Enemies will often disengage them if it is the case.
  3. You can't loot the caravan after killing them. I did it with a tank-ish chanter, who used the northernmost cart to not be flanked, wielding a shield and hatchet. Come, Come Soft kills most of the adds instantly, since they have so little HP. The named characters and guards were easily dispatched by the phantom. It was slow, but worked.
  4. No, I checked the combat log. No one interrupted the caster.
  5. They will always stay behind you in terms of XP, but the sooner you hire them after levelling up, the lesser the difference will be. They will eventualy catch up, if you don't hire then multiple levels below you.
  6. They will be weaker than characters you build yourself in terms of stat distribution, but if you plan on using a full party you shouldn't worry too much. Heavy minmaxing is not really worth it on anything bellow PoTD, and even then your tatics matter more.
  7. That would make sense if it was one of my frontliners, but when I try to cast a fireball with my priest she just raises the scroll then stops casting.
  8. An Alpha Striker is a character who specializes in dealing a large burst of damage in the beginning of a fight.
  9. I noticed that often when I order a party member to cast a spell from a scroll during a big fight, said party member more often than not starts casting but stops before the casting is finished. Not only that, but the combat log says that the party member used the ability yet the scroll is unused and the spell is uncast. Scrolls of paralysis seem to be the exception, interestingly enough.
  10. Do spells cast from scrolls behave differently from "normal" spells? Often, when I try to cast a spell from a scroll, the character starts casting, but stops before the animation finishes. Did I just find a very annoying bug?

  12. And what is patch 3.0 by the way. I thought that the latest is 2.03 Yeah, 3.0 will be the next latest patch.
  13. Exactly!I imagine what would happen if you knocked one of them prone. Maybe that is why they implemented immunities!
  14. Maybe we will need another godhammer... EDIT: @Cyseal: I've never said we would fight a living giant/titan/whatever died there. Just that we would see more "larger than life" things in the future.
  15. The seemingly mundane, down to earth setting of Eora, reveals more and more of its fantastical side as the devs get bolder. I have high hopes for PoE2.
  16. Melee wizards rule. They are arguably the most efficient way of making a damage dealing wizard, resource-wise. After stacking self-buffs, you are able to outdamage everyone in the big fights while providing powerful debuffs when needed, and when you don't want to burn throught too much spells you can just summon a parasitic staff and be good for the whole fight. After patch 3.0, wizards will get a single per-encounter spell independent on their spellbook instead of whole tiers becoming per-encounter at certain levels, giving a further buff to this playstyle. Just a tip if you want to try: conjured weapons have an universal weapon type, gaining extra accuracy from any of the weapon focus talents, but not of many at once.
  17. I like priests on POE, but the god talents deserve a buff in my opinion. Their spells are too weak, and the weapons they give accuracy to are too limited. While I know giving priests too much melee capacity may make them too powerful, I would like to have more options if I want a frontliner priest.
  18. Well... While I don't see it working amazingly, if you stacked enough attack speed and lowered the Recovery time you could reach a speed hard cap even without dual wielding, and with a lot of accuracy and DR penetration you could do some damage by criting almost all the time very fast. Not sure if you could do more damage than a properly built Éder, and it can only really work well with the expansion and higher levels. Sounds like fun to try anyway, but only if you start with a more balanced spread and respec later. But I don't play with rogues, so I am not sure if I am not only speaking foolishness.
  19. An ideal solution would be if "hard" disables got lesser effects when they graze instead of lesser durations, and instead of immunities to CC we had something like all hits and crits becoming grazes against certain foes, so you couldn't knock a dragon prone but could unbalance it, debuffing ts reflex.
  20. I hope not. I really want to see places beyond the Eastern Reach and see locations where there is not such a tight break between the "modern" colonies and "ancient" Enthwightans(sp?). If they decide to stay in the Reach, though, I'd rather see the Vailian Republics. I expect them to be much more urbanized and cosmopolitan than Dyrwood, and if animancy continues to be in the center of the plot I remember some NPCs saying its research is very strong in the Republics.
  21. I don't think anyone mentioned anything about being forced to be a pirate. Only about travelling between various "hub cities" by sea and having a ship instead of a stronghold. Pirates would basically be the bandit equivalent.
  22. Funny thing is, you have to fight tougher opponents to get there.^^ With a party. A small one, but still.
  23. Brazillian here. Honestly, I only included pirates in my post because if your base of operations is a ship, and you sail a lot throught lawless seas, pirates seem like a legitimate worry. Plus, isn't there a background option that lets you be a former pirare?
