Finished my umpteenth Fallout: Tactics playthrough with modified sniper rifle (used .50 CAL ammo). Played some Chime with my brother, taking turns attempting to beat each others score, was fun for a while but man some of those shapes are annoying because they don't fit anywhere. EDIT: Tried to have another go at The Witcher 2 but just couldn't play past the Prologue, it's not any fun when you know the story already. Now I'm all out of games and I find that disturbing.

But with a fear of being blacklisted by every publisher I don't see anyone within the industry standing up for an union, mostly people who get fed up and leave. What ? I don't understand what you mean. If the poorly treated developers want justice they would organize and form a union. When the union has enough developers in it, they can and will achieve better working conditions. You can't blacklist the whole union. Now the only thing working against this is laws that govern individuals rights against illegal contract termniation i.e. job security. If the local law does not provide protection from being fired illegaly (term defined by each society by their norms) then you truely are ****ed.

I think it also depends heavily on job security laws and unions. If you have neither then it's really hard to stand up for your rights.

There's list of mods at gog.com forums, which includes all the races for single player. http://www.gog.com/en/forum/fallout_series...tics_mods/page1

I bought all of the Fallout games too, now fiddling with Tactics' Editor to spice up the game.

Absolutely enthralled by this series. Tyrion is the best character by a mile and I want to see a lot more of him. (haven't read the books)

The difficulty doesn't increase linearly thorough the game. It instead goes off the cliff once you hit the last part.I breezed through the content on Hardcore with Anjali until I got to Warbeast, that's when I died first time. From there on it was a real struggle.

Dungeon Siege 3 It's mindless hack&slash, fun for one play through but I have serious doubts if I will ever touch it again once I'm done. I'm nearing the end now and "battle fatigue" is starting to set in.

I'm at and I'm finding the fight almost impossible to beat with Anjali. The furthest I've reached thus far is . I have Lucas as my companion and I'm using run&gun tactics to generate some Focus, then I cast Pillar of Fire and/or Aura of Immolation while still running away all the time. I use the Volatile Barrier all the time and refresh it if it drops. I use empowered Inner Warmth to heal my self and Lucas when ever we drop below 50%. At some point in the fight, usually after Lucas gets one shotted by combined boss abilities. The room is swarmed with enemies and I have no way of resurrecting him. At this point the run&gun tactic starts to fall apart because . I haven't found out any tactic that would help me avoid the situation I described, and believe me I've tried like 100 times already. I'm assuming that once , so I'm not anywhere near beating the encounter. Has anyone beaten that encounter on Hardcore difficulty yet, and if so, what kind of tactic did you use ?

Here's a short video I made playing with Lucas on normal difficulty. I've switched to Anjali and abandoned Lucas since he was way too easy to play and kinda boring. I also switched up the difficulty to Hardcore. The result is that my companion (Lucas) dies all the time and every harder encounter is massive dodge-fest where I get one or two shots off between dodges and it takes forever to kill any of the bosses.

How do u get better loot?
trulez replied to Letsgomental's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
Thanks for that hint, but I've played the original and all three new versions of Kings Bounty more than once through. KB and DS loot systems are completely different. KB has DESIGNED loot, with pre-assigned stats that do not change every time you find said item, only the location of the items change. DS has RANDOM loot, every stat point is random and you can't guarantee to find same stats on items even if you find one with same name. -
How do u get better loot?
trulez replied to Letsgomental's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
How does a completely random loot with highly variable stats make any sense in that setting ?The reason games like Diablo have random stats on loot is because you can grind bosses forever to find that perfect combination of stats for your style. If there's no grinding in Dungeon Siege it means you're at the mercy of random stats, which can have more effect on the difficulty than desired. -
Question about stats and Save games
trulez replied to Letsgomental's topic in Dungeon Siege III: General Discussion
The description of some of the stats, e.g. Agility and Armor, say the amount of benefit you gain from them changes as your level changes. Why can't we see the actual benefit instead of arbitrary rating ? I'd really like to know if the stats I've accumulated are any good, there are so many different combinations of stats in random gear it's really hard to tell if what I'm wearing is appropriate for my level. Also I've ran into few situations where I have the exact same quality and name on two pieces of gear but with completely different stats. And I don't mean they have different amount of the same stats, I mean one has block and armor and the other has stamina and attack. What's up with that ? -
It was inevitable that EA would create their own Digital Distribution channel, and then cut of the leeches who have been making money head over heels with their titles. Maybe we actually see some competition in prices if you can buy Battlefield cheaper from Origin than Call of Duty from Steam. The only, and a rather big, negative from this move is we the customers have to split our game collections into smaller fractions across multiple outlets.

Talking about taking things out of context. The question was: "Why does upcoming science-fiction role-playing game Mass Effect 3 support Kinect?" And the answer is: "Grow the audience and make it more accessible," So basically they're saying they want to sell the game to the retards who think Kinect is worth having. Since they can't say that bluntly like I can, they have to use some justification for it, i.e. the piece quoted above. Will it impact users without Kinect, highly unlikely since it's just a feature for specific platform.

The characters perform multi swing combos if you just keep pressing LEFT MOUSE button rapidly. You can stop the combo after first or second swing, but not after the final "special" swing triggers. (Knight uses 3 swings in both 1H and 2H-mode, Anjali uses 4 swings with staff and 3 swings with fireballs) I also found triggering defensive roll insanely frustrating when combined with RIGHT MOUSE movement. Sometimes he rolls as he should, but sometimes he just makes short fake, like lunging forward but stopping, so he never completes roll and I get hit.
-
Are you trying to tell us it's as ****ty as Duke ?
-
I tried DS3 demo and the controls were horrible, it took at least an hour of gameplay to start making any sense out of them. I'm using Right Mouse to move and AD to adjust camera, but that still makes rolling/using defensive skills pretty hard. You can think what you like about WoW but at least it has this feature nailed. If other game companies want to copy something from it in hope for easy ride to success it should be the controls.

Gave up on Max Payne after 2 hours, that game has not aged well. Now playing Mass Effect 1 the umpteenth time.

Finished Fallout 2, did every quest possible and played a naive goody two-shoes who would help anyone who dared to ask. Found it odd that I could acquire Advanced Power Armor (Navarro) before regular Power Armor (Brotherhood of Steel), maybe that's because I did Military Base only after finishing everything in San Fran. Now playing Max Payne, the original. Bought it from Steam along with the sequel.
