Lulz. They should releases it as freeware or, better yet, abandonware.
EDIT: Also, didn't ID, or rather the guys who became ID, make Commander Keen and not 3D Realms?
Are you talking about Living in Oblivion?
EDIT: Well, my laptop is working again but I have finals coming up so I think that any Let's Play I do will not get started until next week at the earliest. Still, I might write up an introduction over the weekend and get that up.
Coolness. I need to download it but once I do I might try it, or I might not as I have only recently repaired one PC and do not like the idea of installing a completely new OS on it.
Well, as soon as I get my laptop issues solved I think I will also start a thread. I am still not sure what game I will choose, Fallout 3 was one of the main contenders but I'll do another one if CrashGirl is doing that, or how I am going to run it (id est with feedback and commentary or just commentary).

I am also going to install Linux and use it for schoolwork (writing essays etc) but need to figure out how to get my internal wireless card working under that OS before I install it.
Well here's a quick summary so far:
The Good:
+Plays well on older systems
+Interesting Story (so far; the opening was great as was the first level)
+Once you re-map a few things the controls are not that bad
+The killing moves are cool
+The Nazis are Nazis even though it's a German game
+Looks decent
+Combat is challenging
The Bad:
-You cannot save
-The default controls can be annoying
-Feels like a game that was ported to Steam at the last moment
-Steam is required
-The killing moves can sometimes be finicky
