I think I got it, please correct me if I dont.
Canaan Aphettu replied to Bogj's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Thanks - that is indeed mine. I don't think I did it too well, but it's basically a warmup - I'm planning on mapping out the story for Kotor 1 and 2 before starting work on my *real* webcomic, which'll probably end up being a Penny Arcade rip off, unless I can think of a better idea. -
Actors to KOTOR I-II part II
Canaan Aphettu replied to DarkAngle's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Keanu Reeves for Carth!!! :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Keanu Reeves for a rock on Korriban's surface. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A rock that gets stepped on. -

Old charaters in kotor II
Canaan Aphettu replied to zerogx2000's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There's a line when talking to Handmaiden where she asks about secret Jedi marriages and one of the dialogue options is I think it's called "Pulling a Bindo".. Then she asks what you mean and you can say Bad joke, bald guy. Forget I said anything. That's the only mention of Jolee I ran into. Quite funny. -
Bao-Dur was supposed to die?
Canaan Aphettu replied to Jediphile's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe she didn't go with him...but did she come back with the Hawk...? -
I chose to die rather than betray the light! (Using the Back Button I discovered that I was a Dark Force Witch. Eww...)

It took a few well placed Republic ships to take down the Star Forge. The Death Star took one well placed proton torpedo from the son of Darth Vader, who single handedly rebuilt the Jedi Order. Star Forge = lots of fighters - it's a factory. Death Star = planetary destruction. It's a superweapon. So a lot of Star Forge ships would fly around the Death Star like flies on a Bantha, and one shot of the superlaser would destroy the Star Forge. Death Star ftw.

Interview with KOTOR comic writer!
Canaan Aphettu replied to Jedi Master D Murda's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think that they're doing this because TSL was incomplete, it's pretty much because the fans really want it. And I also don't like how the Jedi were handled - especially seeing as, from the language, it seems as if the Jedi Order are sending Jedi to fight in the Mandalorian Wars. Maybe it's just that the wording threw me off. -
Okay, here's a Kotor comic I've been working on - it's a 3-panel, poorly drawn, not particularly funny one, but whatever: Anyway, if you want to check out the rest of them, the link is in my sig. Oh, and in case any of you get confused, there are 2 PCs - one male LS and one female DS. So that everyone's fairly represented.

Interview with KOTOR comic writer!
Canaan Aphettu replied to Jedi Master D Murda's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I got a hold of issue one completely by accident - I just happened to walk into the comic shop and there it was! I think it may have been fate. So I set up a monthly reservation then and there. It's pretty good. The art looks quite nice and thw writing's okay, but with just one issue, it's hard to see how it'll turn out (As it's being imported for me, I'll have to wait another week or so). It could be very good, and seeing a LS Miraluka was pretty cool - if she is LS... -
Vader would win. After all, Chosen One. Maybe.

Most visually impressive world?
Canaan Aphettu replied to Sikon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Handier than calling it "Unknown Planet" as I generally tend to. I think that the most visually impressive world is...wait for it... Nar Shadaa. No, I haven't been chewing spice. Nar Shadaa give character to the whole of K2. Its oppressiveness makes you feel as if it's going to crush you alive. The claustrophobia and sheer patheticness of the whole place perfectly captures the mood that the run-down, delapidated moon has throughout comics and other media in which it has featured. Close second is "Rakata Prime". That looks good, but Nar Shadaa "feels" right. -
Bao-Dur was supposed to die?
Canaan Aphettu replied to Jediphile's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's very possible that in a board meeting, as everyone sat around discussing the storyline, that someone in passing suggested killing off Bao-Dur. However, considering the droid planet never got beyond the vague design stage, I doubt any concrete plans were laid. And while they were discussing the story, for all we know, someone may have said "Let's make one of the characters mysteriously turn into a sheep halfway through the game!" or possibly "Let's not bother making a proper ending, let's just finish it abruptly with major plot holes all over the place!" You never know. -
Telos- surface military base
Canaan Aphettu replied to shamus_jedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yep...can't get enough of those...mdlops... I really can't wait for it though. It'll be worth buying a PC version and having to learn to use a mouse instead of thumbsticks. -
Telos- surface military base
Canaan Aphettu replied to shamus_jedi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Speaking of which, will that ever get finished? I'm not being rude or impatient, as right now, as an Xboxer, I'll need to buy a PC copy of the game when it finally comes along anyway, but I am worried. Most of these mods never actually get finished. If Project Gizka isn't rapped up by the time K3 comes, it'll never be completed. -
I think I got it, please correct me if I dont.
Canaan Aphettu replied to Bogj's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The thing that confuses me most about this bit is that for the LS ending, the Ebon Hawk reappears, even though you get the cutscene watching it fall to its doom. Are we to assume that Atton at that point managed to fire up the engines and safely manouvre it to the Trayus Academy to pick up the Exile, or rather is this a second ship that looks identical to the Ebon Hawk? Random thought occuring to me as I type this - if it is a second Ebon Hawk, prehaps it's being pilotted by Revan, who's swooped in from the Unknown Regions to save the day in a custom Ebon Hawk copy built in the UR? -
What type of clothes do you like on your PC?
Canaan Aphettu replied to a topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'll wear different robes according to what random items appear. My most recent playthrough, I found some dark Jedi robes very early on (still in Peragus) and decided to wear them until I found something cooler. This turned out to be a bad idea because the lack of defense bonus from the miner's gear was slowly killing me, and I had no Force powers that armour restricts. Luckily I found some of those cool green Jedi robes soon after. Can't remember the name. -
I killed all the Jedi
Canaan Aphettu replied to Supreme Legate's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If it only happened the once, it may have just been a typical freezing glitch that happens all the time. If it happened more than once, but worked after that, it was probably just a more annoying coincidence. One of the glitches I like to mess around with is (when male, of course) having Handmaiden in my party as I enter the enclave, then walking out again, selecting my party members again (including Handmaiden) and walking back in. The original Handmaiden is standing there, frozen, plus another one in my party. Then when Kreia runs off to meet Handmaiden, she doesn't appear straight away, but rather is standing by the exit when I go to leave. When I did this, however, I was evil, so the Handmaiden was dressed in her infinately cool black normal clothes, and the other one, hanging out by the exit was dressed in white. Very cool. -
Man, could I go for a Rose of the Prophet Muhammad
Canaan Aphettu replied to kumquatq3's topic in Way Off-Topic
Freedom fries were stupider. Changing the name because they didn't follow you into a war that was poorly handled and ended up killing a lot of innocent people is more pointless than changing a name because a national newspaper insults your most cherished religious beliefs and says that your entire religion are terrorists. Both are pointless, but freedom fries > roses of the prophet Mohammad. (Side note - "french fries" should really be called "chips" anyway. That's the way it's done in England, so that's the way it should be done elsewhere. Fact.) -
The thing that made me feel most evil from both games was threatening the guy taking care of the Republic soldiers on Taris - not because I was particularly upset about it, but because Carth dissaproved. I wanted to say "Sorry, Carth, don't feel bad. I'm only doing this to get the DS ending".
-
Disciple? I used him all of once. And then it was only so that I could Jedify him. A boring character without a particularly interesting backstory. One of the weaker K2 characters subplot-wise.
-
Lightside. As a religious person, I find it hard to do anything else. The parallels between the Force and God are always too apparent. Not that this is a bad thing, Lucas designed the Force to be able to fit in with anyone's beliefs, but when I do play DS I always feel bad about upsetting other people. Which is pretty stupid, but that's life.
-
Sigh. I've never had good enough Repair and Computer skills to unlock this. There's so much about Kotor 2 that I've still not seen. Which is one of hte reasons I love it so much :D

Who Kriea actually could be?
Canaan Aphettu replied to SSgtSniper's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I remember reading somewhere that Kriea was Malak's mother. However, considering it was on a Star Wars blog, I didn't really think it was much more than speculation. This Arren Kae argument is good, and there does seem to be a fair bit of evidence behind it, but I think Obsidian would avoid anything even vaguely resembling an "I am your father/mother/longlostsibling" scenario. One thing that the original trilogy did was make it very hard for anyone trying to come up with plausible plot twists... -
Malak took me the most effort on my first playthrough - my character was horribly built and it took me forever to wear him down enough to drain the force from the other Jedi myself
