  1. Yea that kind of plan always goes well.
  2. I'm not going down there. Why the **** did I come down here? Incidentally, the latter screenshot is with torch turned on. I swear, in generic horror universe, you only get to choose from two kinds of crap torch models: It can either last 5 seconds before needing to recharge from, one would assume, darkness, or it uses bulbs from Christmas tree lights to provide light. Bulbs from Christmas tree lights covered in slime.
  3. You mean Vermintide?
  4. With added optional stealth elements, yes.
  5. If that means more fleshed out companions, I'm all for it.
  6. Of course it can be done well, if you develop entirely separate set of mechanics for both real-time and turn-based. Which is not something I'd like Obsidian investing into.
  7. Pushed far enough into RE7 to get a decent understanding of how's gameplay gonna work. So first of all, just like in the earlier games in the series, you get a relatively large map, twisting and turning onto itself, slowly granting you tools to unlock new paths and allowing you to access optional areas you could not access previously. You progress not only by shooting things like in RE5+, but also by solving puzzles and exploring various areas in the game - map design's generally really cool, and feels very Resident Evil-esque. Which is good. Because the latter games in the series felt anything but that. For now it seems that every major stage of the game is going to have a boss who will not only get a boss fight at the end of the stage, but who'll also pester you throughout your stay in the area - the game does its best to make beating the boss fights extra satisfying, which is good. And then there's things you'd expect of a RE game - zombie-like enemies, many of which you can avoid to conserve resources, good ol' safe rooms make a come back, there's steady weapon progression and even currency and stores ... Of sorts where you can get permanent upgrades or new items. Oh and... Inventory management's back. Add to that a pretty damn good atmosphere and a lot of little things that the game does to keep you unsettled and yeah, I'd say we have a really good Resident Evil game on our hands again. Which is fantastic, considering how did the series turn out lately.
  8. Screenshots don't really do the game justice. But since that's all I got...
  9. I give it a 2/10 in skull department. Would not Khorne again.
  10. Does it have enough skulls on it tho?
  11. I'm pretty sure the most powerful being you defeated in BG 1 was a Werewolf of some description. Well, or Sarevok. You only get to fight dragons in BG2, so the power progression in BG games was relatively logical (albeit not entirely, you still met NPCs which were generally a lot more powerful than those in BG1 for no reason)
  12. This would mean that we're starting with a watcher that was capable of killing Adra Dragon. Which means there's pretty much no threat in the world that would be able to touch the protagonist.
  13. You don't read a lot of books, do you?
  14. Yeah, starting over is by far the best choice. Pillars of Eternity on lvl 16 already suffered from insane talent/skill/spell overload, can't even imagine the nightmare higher levels would be. Not to mention that it would make for a fairly boring game or be fairly illogical anyway, considering we defeat some of the most powerful beings on Eora at the late levels of Pillars. So ... Either 90% of everything will flee on the sight of us, or Deadfire would make for the most formidable bandits and monsters in the game's world :-P
  15. Know what, yes, that's a stretch goal I want: 1.8 million - Fix our **** If we reach the stretch goal of 1.8 million, we'll sit down and fix the **** that's broken in both Tyranny and Pillars of Eternity on the level of their engine. This goal means we'll finally bring you a technically competent product! Rejoice!
  16. "I'll pledge 5000 so that you have money to fix your ****, Obsidian." *Stretch goal of 500 levels long dungeon unlocked!* "... God damnit, Obsidian."
  17. The moment Obsidian wants to waste insane amounts of money on fully voice acting the game is the moment I withdraw my pledge. So um... Yea, I'd prefer not, all things considered :-P
  18. I might be weird, but I'd prefer no stretch goals whatsoever. Let Obsidian allocate additional funds in any way they see fit during development, after previous KS I trust them quite enough to use the money reasonably.
  19. /\ That's a good amount of fun right there. Not the best RTS games ever, but they make for some fun "I want to play an RTS" release, especially if you also own 8-bit Hordes and Invaders
  20. Amusingly enough, HDR is enabled by default in Resident Evil 7 (it also defaulted to 24 hz refresh rate for whatever reason). You can change both in the options menu of course, but if you don't know what HDR means, you're going to get a very, very dark game.
  21. First hour and a half of Resident Evil 7. If the game keeps this up, rumors of the best RE since 4 won't be exaggerated, as the beginning was damn impressive, if very linear.
  22. Beautiful Desolation, isometric post-apocalyptic adventure by developers of Stasis, has its KS up. If you pledge 24 bucks within 48 hours, you'll also get a copy of stasis and ... That other game by them.
  23. Well, end-game was easier. Early game was arguably harder due to introduction of a new opponent and due to introduction of timers for the optional resource.
  24. Anything Eldar-focused would be neat, actually. Or Dark Eldar. Or just... Not centered on the Imperium.
