  1. Got her to move - I think the custom formation I was using along with the crowded area in front of the bar at the inn may have contributed to the issue - (that I couldn't move her because she was "stuck" due to the others around her) altho even when the animation stopped I could not turn the aura off either so a combination of the two. Earlier I had managed to move the rest of party (select all) and the paladin still remained stuck at the bar so that may not be the case either. I'm not sure what causes the issues in crowded areas - the pathfinding or the amount of space each character needs (or both) but hopefully they are working on resolving this.
  2. I can't move the paladin when this is going on nor do any of his abilities work (by clicking them). I can go into inventory and switch weapons/armor whatever but it doesn't stop the stuck animation.
  3. There's a bug that sends my adventurers guild Paladin into a constant attack animation when loading the game taking all control away from her regardless of what I try to do - I managed to get this stopped the last time it occurred but don't recall what I did - might have just loaded a different save successfully. Anyone have an in-game workaround for this?
  4. It's not really aimed at specific individuals to my mind there is a fairly substantial range of people that might fall into the category I describe some of whom may be quite actively participating some that may only pop in on occasion to make a comment or two. I'm not interested in discussing whether or not my observation is correct or incorrect for anyone other than myself - just tossing it out there as an opinion of mine because I think it fit in with what Nakia might have been talking about re beta vs demo.
  5. The only thing I recall hearing about the stronghold is that you will not be able to do everything that can be done in a single playthrough. Disclaimer: When I say I recall one should understand that often I don't recall at all when I wish to and at times my recalling may be more related to dreams, indigestion and/or 60's flashbacks than any official or unofficial comments I actually saw or heard related to this game...
  6. Re: people looking at the Beta as a demo rather than a test - It seems to me that many people treat the Beta as more than it is - which IMO is group of 3 small interconnected maps taken completely out of context from the games main quest line with some quite different balancing of quests, XP, leveling, items, factions, etc than the actual game will have - This in turn has been cobbled together so players can try out and give feedback on some of the systems going into place - even tho they are not necessarily working in the same manner they will when the entire game is available. Some people seem to think they are looking at a much bigger and/or more complete piece of the pie and also seem to assume that they are seeing enough to make enlightened judgements on what the entire game is going to look and play like as a result of either playing the beta or in some cases watching some video of it. I'm not saying nothing can be learned but I for one am taking what I see much more lightly considering what I think the beta represents compared to the game itself.
  7. Who would want a bug free release anyway? That means lots less to complain about - the forums would probably have to shut down or only open a few hours a day!
  8. What? Yet another poll with no OTHER option??
  9. I agree the descriptions need to be concise and not vague about exactly what these do - no need to keep the player in the dark - I've just figured that these numbers are changing now as they polish up the game and perhaps they plan to eventually provide just this sort of description when all is said and done (and don't want to waste valuable time changing the numbers/descriptions for each build).
  10. While I generally agree, I see no reason for the game to make that decision for me. In fact, I would find it even more infuriating as to why I can't get a Toggle when the game would already Toggle for me based on landscaping. True. Most of the time running around towns I wish I could go faster. In dungeons it's not much of a problem, because you have to be careful of traps and enemies. Same with wilderness. But towns? Speak to this NPC, do a fetch quest for that merchant, run all the way back and then try to remember where you have to give in the other quest. It's pretty annoying and if I had to walk, it would be absolutely infuriating. They could always make the town maps include enough interesting and or dangerous spontaneous encounters to slow you down to a walk without getting boring...
  11. ... guys? And then the world stood still...
  12. Of course - the Lickety-split method faster than a speeding slug!
  13. Crawling yes - especially pub crawling - and dwarves should get a bonus here!
  14. You guys do realize that when a thread turns into a bickering session between a couple of individuals it's pretty unlikely anyone from the devs side is likely to try to weed through the back and forth to determine if there is any real value in anything being said? - of course you do... nevermind...
  15. Just a side note to concur that the DAI Mouse/keyboard implementation totally sucks and makes combat in PoE BB look glorious.
  16. Well, are you absolutely sure? Two people on the internet seem to be agreeing on having that impression, so perhaps it must be objectively true! One of them is lying...
  17. Then again I'm not sure "most vocal" necessarily means their ideas or complaints are any more or less relevant than others - people should probably try to keep in mind this isn't OEs first rodeo and just because people have ideas of how to fix things that doesn't automatically put them on the same page as OE.
  18. A year or more ago this might have been an interesting read - at this stage of the game not so much.
  19. Sorry - forgot the sarcasm tags again... my bad
  20. Unfair? What if I want to just sit at the inn and drink beer because thats the kind of adventurer I am - I will be seriously under-leveled - is that fair? It's completely fair, since any game that lets you sit at the bar and drink - day in and day out - will never place your character in danger for doing so. That is to say, a level 1 adventurer who wishes only to sit at a bar and drink, does not NEED to gain levels. His continued survival is guaranteed. The same cannot be said for combat or questing. Not necessarily so - if it is to be an alternative then the possibility of alcohol or food poisoning , falling off unsteady barstools, engaging in risky sex, the threat of bar room brawls, and other such pitfalls must all be accounted for!
  21. Unfair? What if I want to just sit at the inn and drink beer because thats the kind of adventurer I am - I will be seriously under-leveled - is that fair? Seriously, I should look up the thread from way the hell back where the guy insists that he should be able to sit at the bar all day as part of his RP. We were suggesting a barmaid class where you got XP for cleaning glasses and serving ale. lol Come to think of it, that might have been on the old interplay boards. Damn, good times! It's a better alternative when there are romances available that must pass the beer check! Agreed - interplay boards = good times

  23. Last I heard queuing was not in and not expected but I could be wrong about that...
  24. This is something I too have wanted for some time. Moving the action bar onto portraits (or just beneath), then enlarging those portraits and moving them to the side. I truly cannot understand why they have gone with a bottom oriented UI. That's what most games do these days, ether bottom or top oriented UI, most of them go bottom these days. There is more room to go from right to left and vice versa than bottom to top as well which is why most large UI elements are horizontally layed out. It is just easier to fit your UI in there. It's all about you wide screens see what you've made us do!
