hey im not trolling and im being serious but does anyone think that ciphers are actually worth it now? im having second thoughts, i thought they where going to get a buff not nuked Multiclass is still similar-ish. Pure Ciphers is weaker now but in the grander scheme of things still viable. With Brillance gone, replenish-able resource classes seems more desirable and Ciphers are one of those. I mean in PoE1 Ciphers got multiple nerfs at the start as well. In the end they were still usable. Maybe they will buffed again in the future.

Well if the Nature's Godlike nerf is not enough to stop that combo, I guess carry on petitioning till obs nerf it? Btw my original comment on "6 Dragon Thrashed moon godlike chanters" was the the playthrough done on PoE1 where a poster (I think it was Raven) just used a party of 6 Dragon Thrashed Moon Godlike chanters and stomping through all the content. Most of time without using any actions. Just in case there was any misunderstanding...

Well, maybe I worded it poorly. Psychovampiric shield's +5 Res is really weak compared to the PoE1 version. +5 Res is better than nothing. But also consider that it last decently long (typically > 15secs), casts almost instantly (0.5s), and it lowers the enemy's Deflection and Will. The later makes it easier to setup the Will targeting spells in the Cipher;s repertoire.

I, too, went Beguiler/Assassin. There is some synergy between the Dmg spike from backstabbed assassination attacks and Focus generation without feeling overpowered so far (~level10). But yeah Guile is quite limited on the Rogue side of things and beyond RP purpose for Corvo, I am leaning towards Smoke Veil to maximize the chances to reenter invisibility. Whispers is always strong. I also like Psychovampiric Shield - in my experience with a somewhat similar stat spread (more Mig, Less Dex) this build seem to attract aggro pretty easily so some defences will be nice.

For weapon, definitely lashing. Type doesn’t matter too much. However if you would decide take one elemental talent, spirit of decay with a corrode lashed bittercut is not bad For armour crush proof is ok. The barb generally needs Mig, Con and Per. Which is easy to get on other equipment slots. But try not to durganize it. You don’t want to lower crit chance against this barb You can definitely use official companions. The point of this barb is not to rely on buffs and support too much to carry out its Untank capabilities.

Note that those posts are pretty early during the game's cycle. Before heart of fury got buffed and before attack speed mechanism was well documented. Now you can go both ways. But I would say that dual wield has a slight edge if you wanna focus on-hit/on-crit effects.

Unless you plan to guzzle hundreds of potions, you will need to rest eventually. “Health”, in general, can be thought of as “per rest”. If Binding wounds was per encounter or unlimited use, it would be completely broken since it would render health completely meaningless and provide infinite value. Might as well just have endurance and get rid of the concept of a seperate health pool. High endurance regeneration builds would be crazy good then. Binding wounds provides the best value with high CON (it is just not normally needed since they are not the characters who usually run out of health first or very quickly. I usually only take it if running low CON for this reason). Well I am just focusing on answering that poster's query in his/her situation. Prefer not to digress into what could be broken or what's not. In fact, I still kinda treat the IwVE effect as a bug as it is supposed to be temporary. But it is what it is.

True, but Field Triage and Binding Wounds are also per rest. Poster will still need to head back to rest to recharge those abilities, which he/she is trying to avoid. Also I havent tested this but the healing done by the potion healing should also be improved by modifiers. What I find interesting is that Zahua's CON is actually quite decent. So that character shouldn't need to be rested that often. So the poster might be using Zahua in a way that makes him take more dmg than he needs to. Maybe.

Just a little background - I have completed 5 playthroughs on PotD ToI and restarted about twice as many times. And I try to complete all quests, but maybe at later times. You can refer to http://www.gamebanshee.com/pillarsofeternity for quest info. Custom Companions If you are hiring custom companions, try and skip most content in Cliant Lis by sneaking. So in all, you should only need to kill 1 Skuldr Whelp, 4 small Spiders and 1 Spider. Skip Valewood entirely. In Glided Vale after the hanging tree scene, head to the inn asap to hire the companions. Keep on the left side to prevent gaining exploratory exp from the Eothas Temple. The companions should only be 2202+ exp behind you. After which, you can double back to Cilant Lis. The floor traps in particular are great to get the custom companions to lvl 2 quick. Quest Order I will recommend the following quest order: Against the Grain Late for Dinner Vengeance from the Grave Ferry Flotsam With these, your party should be around lvl 3, with MC quite close to 4. The remaining quests are more combat intensive. Do note that the Hermit's Hat from Ferry Flotsam is great against the Large Spores in Anslog Compass cave. The Smith's Shipment A Mother's Plea If you have a high level Mechanics character, note that you can start unlocking the doors in Raedrics Hold at Mech lvl 6 and the Ethos Temple door with the bell puzzle at Mech lvl 9. When tackling Caed Nua, try to enter the keep from the bottom and then vertically up. The aim is to get the Whispers of Yenwood early before killing the rest of the Spirits. Also try and create at least 2 Scrolls of Fan of Flames if you dont have a Wizard. You can get Burned Lady and Spider Legs from Black Meadow and Esternwood. Which also means your scroll users needs at least Lore lvl 2. They are good against spirits. Lvl 4 should be possible for your MC and Story Companions. But it will be tough for custom companions - I dont think I ever had custom companions reach lvl 4 before Maerwald.

As I said, it is for a tanking barb. So less reliant on the ability on completing actions. Which makes the char less reliant on concentration stat. Retaliation is a way for a tanking barb to do decent dmg without relying on completing actions. And I have played both a tanking barb and an offensive barb
