  1. Well, they say 'companions' not 'followers' and that they're not like the Outer Worlds. I assume they mean Companions and not bots.
  2. If this leak is to believed, then the game will be party based. https://www.resetera.com/threads/xbox-game-studios-otx-you-had-me-at-halo.246538/page-252#post-40806123 For the record, if the leak is real, I suspect that the information is less substantial than it appears mostly 'cause it looks like an early concept wishlist of features rather than a list of things will absolutely be in the game.
  3. Marvel be like:
  4. Well, Disney's going through some financial problems. They gotta recoup the cost of running those theme parks some how. Good thing they bought Fox last year.
  5. I just got here to link the exact same article. I thought Vince McMahon did a pretty good job of creating a decent product. Not gonna lie, I'd love to see an XFL/CFL merger.
  6. Animals dying is depressing? Don't look outside, nine year old. For the love of god, don't look outside.
  7. Yes. Still a thing. Devs seem too ambitious for they're own good, but game's still underway.
  8. Wait, I thought adra could be found all around eora not just eastern reach/deadfire.
  9. I bet if we had the numbers we'd see a sells spike for POE 1 and Deadfire since the announcement. So why use Eora as the setting? Because they already had two games in the setting and they're probably already financially benefiting from the games taking place in the same world. From what I've heard, it sounds like they won't be making any more isometric games. Whether or not they're working on such a project I don't know, however, if POE3 does happen I imagine that it would in fact look like Dragon Age rather than Elder scrolls.
  10. The only epic fantasy series author who produced books within one series faster is Steven Erikson who admitted that he didn't do much of any editing just to get the books out.
  11. That's not exactly what I meant. In the Witcher and W3, just like in the novels and most of the short stories, Geralt isn't the main character. The Witcher 2 is the odd one out because it toes the line in making Geralt the main character. As such he seems to have an undue amount of political influence in W2 whereas in the rest of the witcherverse he has no political power, zero social standing, and only a unique physical skill set. The combination of unique skills and no political power meant Geralt was always getting drafted into everyone else's fights against his will. He's supposed to be a convenient pawn, not a power player and it's that lack of power that is the only thing that really makes him relatable 'cause otherwise he's a super mutant who can see in the dark with his hot sorceress girlfriend and time traveling daughter.
  12. I really liked 1, loved 3, and always felt 2 was the oddball of the family. Like the middle child that suffering from an identity crisis.
  13. To be fair, the one word that comes to mind when thinking about being in a cabin with Lord Byron is 'frightening'.
  14. I don't care one way or another about Rothfuss but even a decade ago I couldn't stand the people commenting in his blog. He couldn't put up a single blog without someone in the comments internet tattling on another author for something completely unrelated to the blog itself. People act like cancel culture is new when it's been around for at least a decade as far as I know. It's just that up until 2012 everyone (rightfully) ignored internet tattletales.
  15. For clarity, do you mean American subjects? Because Poland is still very western.
  16. I feel like anyone who grew up in the late 80's through the early 2000's should be able to appreciate some so bad it's good edge.
  17. Ravenloft released just a few years ago. I'm pretty sure it's still up and running and getting updates and expansions.
  18. I'm betting classes will exist in so form but watered down similar to Dragon Age (warrior, rogue, mage and then each as three subclasses). What I'm more worried about is if they start trying to restrict gear based on class.
  19. According to Josh Sawyer Obsidian tried to create a turn style mode for POE1. In fact, the turn style mode in Deadfire is a dev made mod that I believe on his own time and showed it to his team lead who showed it to Josh and it got put in the game.
  20. I believe the explanation for why the gods' imagery changed from POE1 to POE 2 is that the culture in the area effects what they look like. That's my long roading way of saying I think Aedyrans are too stuffy for fishtits.
  21. It's also worth noting that in rpgs getting to do something because of the way you built your character is more interesting than getting to do everything because you hit the start button.
