  1. Will we have another Icewind Dale game? Thing is I like the combat mechanics of tactical isometric pause & play strategy games. Bravo to Bio/ex Black Isle team for creating this new genre. There's a KS game like Tornent which emphasizes heavily on dialogue. PoE is striking a balance. I wished to see a more heavier focused combat oriented game which has dialogue & story but a more heavier combat related rule-based game? Thanks!. I will still play both PoE & Torment though.
  2. You want a Lion plus a Tiger and hence you get a Liger XD. I still don't see anything wrong for me wanting revealing armor be it whether it make common sense or logic or whether it serves a purpose. As long as it looks awesome it already serve it's purpose. Well, for the sake of argument since it was mentioned: B) The world is full of magic that can produce protection in lieu of armor. It also makes perfect sense to have Magical Chainmail Bra of Utter Epicness+10 XD. See it's magical plus there's also abit of steel there. Lol
  3. Reporting in to post that i want chainmail bikini!. Nope i'm not pervert. I'm an adult and have a partner in real life. There's nothing wrong to like seeing revealing armor. You have alot of those in big screen as well. Why any different in video games? Simple answer: because i don't like it others shouldn't have it. similar to some conversative and religious close-minded people. it's a video game after all. My advice to Obsidian: Please do your best and do the stuff you intended to do so and not be afraid to be condemned by naysayers.
  4. You guys will be surprised that Obsidian may end up turning a higher profit during sales. But regardless, hardcore fans will buy it on Day1
  5. I'm really hoping for at least the 80 hours mark again and happily buy this game first day. Please don't do the Region Lock ****.
  6. As i see it, announcing romance DLC could instant profit for Obsidian.. Perhaps that's their plan?
  7. Sorry to be rude? FFS! No fckin console please? Console-tards please go play your fckin console and stop ruining PC exclusive games? I'm tired of 100 spells games become 4-5 spells with button mashing goodness. Please fck off! /Ok i'm cool now. I foresee myself to get a PS4 but NO i don't want the game to be available to consoles. They hv ruined the gaming industry more than anything else.
  8. This is bad news. The only reason i think why there's no romance in PoE is most probably they are not up to the task and it takes up resources as resources cost money. That few millions from KS.. although it was mentioned every penny will be spent on the game, but who knows?
  9. Seriously? 20 hours of gameplay it's abit tad short for me for these type of games. I expect at least 80 hours. And level 12 cap? That's also too low for me. I'll keep an eye.
  10. I always hated the green circles below characters. They break immersions. Why can't we disable it? Or use soft outlining for characters.
  11. You are forbidden of that. Sexism is not allowed. They should be covered without revealing any bodyline at all, even totally covering the head.
  12. Sorry for breaking this to you but in all honesty i'd always felt that Obsidian, inXile and Bioware are similar. They are just good storytellers and good in writing stories. They were never good in technology, visuals/art or game engine. Their mindset are still sticking to the 1990s on 2D, "tilesets" and the best at you can call "Infinity Engine". While the engine may be "ground-breaking" and state of the art during the 1990s but to them it's still state of the art and ground-breaking even as of today as we are speaking . Bioware is exactly the same. With their used of old, rehashed game engine they could not come with a game that truly "immerse" you visually but best is at "immersing" you with their "text writing". In all seriousness, i'd feel they should stop making games and perhaps writing "books" could probably more successful. Back in Dragon Age 2.. The graphics were already "dated" during launch. And when you compare it with an "Indie" developer CDPR (who license Infinity Engine for their 1st Witcher game). Witcher 2 and Dragon Age 2 are heaven hell. Both even visually and story-wise. Rotatable, top-down isometric 3D is no worst than 2D. I honestly think Obsidian and inXile (which they went 3D with Wasteland2 is the right direction) should start thinking about going forward than going backward. In all seriousness.. folks who think 2D is superior perhaps Crytek (Crysis 3) developer, CDPR (Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077), EA SimCity should all just design their games in 2D? Is it not Obsidian?
  13. I'd hope so. In time we will all see if it's otherwise. Until you have really played the game and experienced on the annoying building, environment and object blocking you wouldn't really feel a needle is poking you and understand about it. We will see and i hope the latter. Cheers
  14. I had always like an isometric view party-based RPG and was delighted to hear a game called Project Eternity in development. Unfortunately, my honest opinion (i do know alot of forumers here do like static hand-painted background) using a static background compared to Wasteland 2 which you can rotate is truly a step backward. I saw the hand-crafted 2D background and in all honesty it's not even more prettier than any latest 3D games in the market. You could possibly argue this 10-15 years ago when 3D graphics were just a newborn. I agree they were ugly, pixelated and hand-drawn 2D background are far more superb and beautiful compared to 3D. This is not true anymore in 2013. The inherent problem with static background is the blocking of player characters, items, bodies by certain objects (most noticeably buildings) that could occur dynamically (eg. a scripted NPC may approach the party and it happens that the party is traversing half way that was blocked by a building. This can only be rectified by making part of the building transparent or even removing it. There is no such problem IF the background were in 3D. Again i like to emphasize i agree during the 90s 2D hand-drawn backgrounds are far more beautiful compared to 3D. I would have preferred 2D background IF we are still in the 90s. However this is no longer true in 2013. With more than $4M of pledges and they are still taking the easy way out (argue how much you may like, 3D is far more complex and complicated than 2D).
  15. Just found out that the camera is fixed. Pretty disappointing. Why can't they make it like Wasteland 2? If it's not a difficult feature to make, please have an option to allow the players to rotate the camera angles that the players want. Again those who dislike it can always choose not to use it. Please have an open conversation and not selfishness. Example.. i dislike respeccing in a game hence i strongly against it and will flame and screw whoever forumer who dares to request for it. This is an example of alot of closed-minded folks mentality. Just because they don't like it everyone shouldn't have it.
  16. First off, i'm quite delighted to find out that there's a party-based, pause and play RPG in the making. And i'm a little surprised the Kickstarter campaign was so successful (pledge of $1.1M exceeded upto almost $4M). Although being happy but i'm also concerned as i saw some of the concept art is similar to very old technology which i believe the game is developed based on Infinity Engine. I would like to mention here about Wasteland 2 (this is not advertising) but i found the User Interface, the Visuals and even Camera rotation is looking very neat. One of the gripe i have with older games like BG, IWD and PS:T is that it's 2D and you really cant rotate it. Apart from that is the ugly (green, yellow, red, blue) circles beneath each player characters, NPCs and hostiles. I understand that as part of gameplay it's required for indication but i believe it could be made much more appealing to the eyes? Like transparency and different design shapes instead of just circle/ellipse. I would like to urge Obsidian to look at Wasteland 2? As i find the visuals is quite appealing too. Last but not least, why is it called Project Eternity? Is that a final title? I really hope not. To establish a franchise, i think it will be weird to be called Project Eternity. Thanks for reading.
  17. I heard there's massive layoff in Obsidian.. They are probably not doing well.
  18. Guess again it's the publisher and developer greed in generalization to appeal to broader audiences for more cash..
  19. I am not sure but the latest hands on preview .. the interface looks so consolish to me.. With the characters limited stances and the in game interface(character face with 3 abilities or stances, mana/stamina/health bar). will there be lots of abilities and will we be having interface like other action hack n slash rpg like diablo, titan quest, torchlight, etc.? the interface looks so consolish.. i just can't stand console.. developers are simplifying and reducing most spells/abilities/talents to the minimal just to cater for the experience of limited buttons in the controller..
  20. Katarina looks awesome.. But just hate chicks with high heels in combat. Not realistic. Boots will be fine. The rest of the render compared to Katarina looks bad and not as good. Spider look plasticky.. Cyclops? low texture polygons .. clearly seen in the legs. Azunite warrior? The helm design looks like ostrich.. Shaman looks like a game that i've played in the 90's? Guess i only like Katarina concept art though. Sorry for the nitpicking but it's 2011 already
  21. honestly i don't really like guns in medieval fantasy.. can she be equipped with bows or crossbows instead? i like more of that instead of guns though..
  22. i would have hoped that it has satisfying gore like Dragon Age 2...
  23. Apart from what Wombat said. No classes? Why, there are four? That sounds a little bit as if Diablo had no classes. I had wished we have 5 characters to play with.. Oh well...
  24. How many difficulty levels this game have? Titan Quest has Normal, Epic and Legendary. Meanwhile Sacred 2 has Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum/Nobium. As each game difficulty levels, the game get's more difficult and you get better higher level loot. Titan Quest 3 level difficulty is fine but Sacred 2 has too many difficulties and there are no variety. TQ is just nice and the monsters really scaled according to level. What i like is there will be additional/seperate quests, storyline, plot twists, locations, etc. while playing through different difficulties. That will basically enhance the game even more.
