Game crash suddenly
Aarik D replied to Gafuone's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hey Gafuone, The reason you are crashing is because you are on Windows XP and that you are running a 32bit OS. The minimum requirement is WIndows Vista 64 bit. You can find a work around on this thread that may help, particularly about having a 32 bit OS. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72049-workarounds-for-several-known-issues-4-07-15/ Thank you for your support and have a great day! -

Game crash suddenly
Aarik D replied to Gafuone's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hello Gafuone, Welcome to the forums! I apologize for the inconvenience. Are you playing from GOG or GOG Galaxy? I noticed a lot of errors in your log so if you are using GOG, I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the game. If you are using Galaxy, please verify/repair your game. Let me know if that works. Thank you for your support! -

Aarik D replied to limaxophobiacq's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Hello everyone, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have confirmed the bug and added it to our database. Thanks for all of your hard work! It is much appreciated! -
Hello Bleak, Could you please upload an output log and a system spec file? You can find the location of those files by clicking on my link in my signature. Most likely it could be a driver issue and/or you need to verify your game files in steam. Please make sure your graphics card is up to date and verify your game cache. Thanks a bunch!

When those errors occur, verify your game cache will typically fix those issues. Try verifying your cache again. I am not familiar with Linux but when you uninstalled the game, did you also delete the directory folder to make sure no old files were left behind? Hopefully someone here on the forums who is more experienced with Linux can help you out. Perhaps you can find an older version of the proprietary driver that will be compatible with your version of XServer.
