Ridley Scott is good director but pretty much all visuals and top-notch executing of elements- he hasn't written anything for his films and he doesn't have that certain pouring your heartblood into work aspect great artists have edit: well that isn't entirely true considering how great attention he gives to all of his movies and little details in it but it's not like I could see Scott making movie criticising society or philosophising one...

lol trolling So, I finally got this game. Years ago I remember playing the first hub. Thing I best remembered was the top notch writing which was enough to make me join the Brian Mitsoda fanclub. That hasn't changed at all, game is brilliantly written. And Source engines faces animation just shows how much better effects can be achieved in 3D engine (finally something good out of it too) compared to your classical isometric view, though HL2 ones wipe the floor with these animations. ...but so far the game otherwise has been tormenting experience (no wonder I only remembered great writing ), I have NEVER encountered this bad gunplay mechanics and melee is absolutely horrible ****. And thanks to rule changes Troika made (what a big **** you to players ) to VtM that ****ed up many abilities and their effects combat is inevitable. And considering this is Source game game world is horribly static though I normally don't care about these things. It must be the fact I just replayed Deus Ex which sucky mechanics are sheer gold when compared to this

Just finished all three endings of Deus Ex - it's just one of those unparalleled games I should head for Bloodlines but... I really want to try IW, I've never played it after all the backlash it got. But I don't want to leave world of Deus Ex just yet :sad:

Gaming press is corrupted and amateurish. Try to be serious film reviewer without writing skills and never ever seeing classics like Citizen Kane and see just how well you fare. In gaming you must be happy to see writer has at least basic knowledge of writing reviews and it's not rare for even that to be too much. And just how many ****s have no idea of old classics as previews for Fallout 3 has shown? Man, Fallout is barely over ten years old. Guess most of modern writers were just toddlers back then... Yeah, there is still one magazine which hasn't sold itself out, has bunch of great reviewers who actually know how to write (both reviews AND columns) and has glorious past as one of the oldest gaming press magazines of the world. Now that even CGW is gone they're propably second oldest one around in the whole world. When did PC Gamer began? How many mainstream gaming magazines give full in depth review of game like Eschalon? Nnirvi once wrote whole review as poem, heh (not like they are perfect or all of their reviews are great but overall they are still the source for good games for me) Too bad it has no use to you guys edit; previews, not reviews
