Obamacare Guarantees Higher Insurance Premiums
Ideology aside the usual argument against copy and pasting the health care system from some other country is that none of the countries have anything close to the numbers that we are dealing with. We have cities with more people than some of these countries. Personally, I would love if we could get some kind of UHC here but I don't think its ever going to happen in my life time unless the US breaks up into smaller countries

- Obamacare Guarantees Higher Insurance Premiums
Out of curiosity I went and checked the Obamacare website for my state and while the prices are higher than what I currently pay now through my employer they are definitely less than what I used to pay when I bought my own health insurance- Update #65: Ciphers

Not necessarily. While, historically, the appropriations resolving past federal funding gaps have provided back pay for the furloughed workers, there is no guarantee of such, and there are reasons to suspect that doing so might not be the highest priority of the folks on the Hill. We federal civil servants aren't exactly the most popular folks around. At least the weather is incredibly nice. Although I have spent an embarrassingly large portion of the day with Crusader Kings II, I took a bike ride earlier, and I've got some flank steak marinading to grill this evening. For reasons that are too complicated to go into, I have decided that Enoch's job is to be the voice of the statue of Abraham Lincoln. Well they do both have the same profession! Awesome hat wearing or awesome beard growing?- Update #65: Ciphers

I'm not sure which group I would fall into The office where I work is full of people who do a completely different job and work for a different company in our group. I mostly work from home but even when I go into the office I'm pretty much there by myself. The nearest person that belongs to the same company as I do is 2 or 3 states away and I only see the rest of my team once or twice a year. I'm also a bit of a workaholic (Mmm... tasty, tasty workahol) and it makes it harder to disengage if work is just down the hall instead of across town or down the street or whatever. Always the temptation of trying to finish just one more thing- 10 replies
