Next Obsidian Kickstarter
Desu desu kawaiii, Krieger-san. I'd like a version of the Shadowrun game that didn't suck. I really liked Dragonfall but I'd rob a bank to fund an Obsidian Shadowrun game Star Trek would be at least armored truck robbery worthy WH40K or Vampire would be insurance fraud or insider trading or whatever people in minimum security prisons do

David Attenborough disappointed with and sick of the USA's head in the sand attitude to global warming
Thanks WoD. Whether I agree or not, I'm just trying to understand your position better and not really trying to argue the point.

am curious where shady were taking pictures. colorado, yes? am seeing ski lifts in background, but in colorado that hardly narrows things. am kinda into purchasing real estate and while most everything we own is in CA, we were considering taking advantage o' some o' the cheapy property available near pueblo, co. nevertheless, am curious 'bout your pictures... we honestly only know colorado for ski destinations such as vail, aspen, winterpark, etc. HA! Good Fun! ps pueblo reminds us much of sacramento, ca. is arid and bland and you ain't far from mountains. you got a smallish state college in town. dunno. we like value, but it were perhaps too familiar. Those were taken in Crested Butte, CO- Weird News Stories part2
I think it depends on how ugly the spider is. The more hideous the hellspawn the more destruction is needed to purge its taint. A daddy longlegs or cute little jumping spider can be spared and escorted to the edge of the kingdom and banished but some kind of wolf spider with a million little babies on its back requires much more drastic measures.- The Official Romance Thread
The point was more that there doesn't have to be an epic courtship or game spanning buildup that ends in fade to black diaper sex. Sometimes people just click for whatever reason. As far as plausibility, I guess it would have to depend on the story but on it's own I see no reason why a casual relationship turning into something more serious can't be a valid "Romance" subplot You've made me give this more thought than I ever intended to because "Romance" in games isn't something I really care much about, just those points I kept seeing pop up. So now I guess a duel is in order. Pistols at noon? Swords at sunset? I'll let you know now that I'll very likely be late so please feel free to start without me- Weird News Stories part2

Not a direct response to anyone in particular but reading a lot of these replies about what is believable and what makes sense don't really add up for me. I disagree that there needs to be long build up or slow progression over the course of the game but maybe I'm in the amoral minority who has had one night stands and has also had a few of those actually lead to something more. It may not be capital R "Romance" but if we're talking sex and relationships I can speak from my experience in the military that some people are willing to risk quite a lot to find some connection and comfort when death can literally come from above at any moment. So I also disagree that people fighting for their lives won't occasionally (or quite often) make time to express their feelings or more likely hop on the good foot and do the bad thing That said, if it's forced or just plain badly done then of course it's not going to work but that's not exactly a revelation since that goes for most things Don't get me wrong, I don't want some of the BSN element over here either but I'm not opposed to romance for those reasons I've stated- David Attenborough disappointed with and sick of the USA's head in the sand attitude to global warming
Thanks Just so I'm clear then, the desire for the prevalent belief to be wrong is fear of poor transition to and implementation of new fuel sources and not the belief itself?- David Attenborough disappointed with and sick of the USA's head in the sand attitude to global warming
Honestly, I can't say that I'm surprised that something coming out of "the world's most prominent think tank promoting skepticism about man-made climate change" is casting doubt on global warming/climate change/whatever we are calling it now BUT really.. I mean, come on. Even if the scientists are wrong about it being bad/existing, what's wrong with investing in alternative fuels, making things more energy efficient and reducing pollution? I don't think anyone is going to argue that pollution is good or claim they like getting gallons per mile (hyperbole!) instead of the other way around. IF we can do better, then why not? Disclaimer- that doesn't mean I think any and everything is a good idea like the above mentioned carbon tax which just gets handed down to the consumer or the opposite of that, paying the companies for voluntarily reducing emissions (though I did like the tax break I got for buying a hybrid and the MPG is great but the downside is that sometimes I'm not sure if my car is even on because it's so quiet) I guess I'm just missing why it's so important for some for it to be wrong- David Attenborough disappointed with and sick of the USA's head in the sand attitude to global warming
Dunno, seems probable they just passed on the tax to the consumer as they went on about their business as usual I'm not familiar with the situation but that's just my pessimistic uninformed take- Weird News Stories part2
