  1. A party with no micromanagement is 6 chanters. You can easily let the AI do everything on PoTD and do hard fights on minimum level. I've started a playthrough for fun, but am not to far: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzscMCQ3321um4bOE1tVJH-1F71aW91UV Their soft winds of death stack with each other, also at level 9 their dragon chant. You basically bore your enemies to death, but it might even be to boring for you. For me it is a fun change to all those solos with amximum difficulty.^^
  2. Okay went to the falls, the packs are larger there, so the battles are harder but doable. Much crazier is the bounty (Gleaming society) :D
  3. Scaled content? I will go to Longwatch falls quite soon I think. If you go to WM while you're over lv12 (I think...) the game is asking if you want to scale the encounters to your level or not (same thing for Thaos when you hump in the pit). The encounters become much more difficult (not sure if it affects the alpine dragon however ) So this only works if I start the White March? Sadly started it way before level 12.
  4. The solo against dragons was always my reason to like paladin in the first place. But now with Sacred immolation he also shines where he was crappay before, against larger mobs.
  5. Scaled content? I will go to Longwatch falls quite soon I think.
  6. I never tried it myself, but we had a completionist chanter on this forum who struggled with Adra dragon like crazy. That was before ingame respeccing and 2.0 tho, so it's definitely possible with chanter, but yeah their defenses are lower than paladin.
  7. Now, that I've seen Sacred Immolation at work, I think Paladin is hands down best solo class. I used the respec feature (first time in my playthrough) to lower CON and some other stats and get INT up to max. I will respec before the dragon fights and maybe another time before Thaos. But I think with the defensive potential the pally has combine3d with this passive per encounter ability he is just super strong. It doesn't take much effort to get toi level 13 with White march and while wizard and others are awesome too their defense is not as good as pally and ability dependent.
  8. Oh I see, the paralyze is an auto attack. Whenever I got paralyzed (which was almost never) it lasted for not even a secvond. So I assumed they grazed me with a spell.
  9. So I encountered those for the first time ever with my solo paladin on PotD. I got really scared, because I fell down some kind of pit, since it was blind play I lacked some attribute or skill and ended up with two afflictions, concussion + smth else and immediately got surrounded by Lagu.... To me they seemed nothing different than Vithracks or even weaker. Since they were not supported by nasty spiders but just Ice blights I could straight attack them (they aggroed me melee anyway) and their hp are just not there. Am I missing any devastating AoE of them, because I solo?
  10. I never built around specific items. I don't think the builds posted on this forum depend on certain items too much, they are often well rounded without it.
  11. Engagement "now" useless? It never was useful, only the reasons have changed. Before 2.0 it was useless, because everybody attacked the tank anyway.
  12. Well soloing the game was possible before 2.0, I did it twice, so ofc you don't NEED the accuraccy. It's just, that not missing/grazing and critting more often is very useful and way better for your damage than boosting MI for example.
  13. Goldpact Paladins have a nice option to avoid part of a major fight. Having a cipher in your group, gives you a unique option to save a damsel in distress. Generally the options with most impact are because of stats tho.
  14. One thing to note, is that the companion paladin Pallegina, doesn't have all "features" a PC paladin has. I'm pretty sure the same goes for the priest Durance. Those 2 classes have an ability which gets better if your decisions ingame fit your chosen subclass.
  15. I honestly can't remember the details, this was version 1.04, lol. These days I would go with something like: MI 12 CO 3 DE 14 PE 18 IN 17 RE 14 Race Moonlike You really need to know how to cipher, to melee with 3 CON tho, so if you want to be more defensive: MI 12 CO 7 DE 12 PE 16 IN 17 RE 14
  16. I never played a druid, but generally for casters high IN important for long durations of your buffs.
  17. For solo PoTD you definitely need more PER. Otherwise awesome build.
  18. Haven't played again, was still at my pala, since he's level 12 now, I invest a little more time in him.^^ Will continue this soon.
  19. This is totally true ofc. Stats don't matter that much. I just find min/maxing something you can overdo and easily choose the wrong attributes. 3 MI and PER builds are just plain dumb in my opinion.
