  1. I went with 15 (Living Lands) 15 6 20 3 20 For the race I selected Wild Orlan, my first solo pala was Moonlike but he lacked saves for the adra dragon. I always go for Goldpact because he can get +2 ST by being cruel. Will could definitely be higher, but you can't have everything. The starting armour and weapon is really nice for Living lands, in Gilded Vale you might wanna grab the plate on the backer npc quite soon. If you're interested in a detailed solo playthrough on PotD: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzscMCQ3321tZnhMkVkMjshoDKzyRRf2s
  2. It's still not ideal, critting all the time below PotD is a huge damage increase.
  3. Are you talking solo or in a party? My solo pala (no ToI) has maxed PE, obviously I had to dump stuff, went with IN 3 and 6 DE. PE for me seems essential on a pala, he has not the greatest damage to begin with, missing hits is not good.
  4. I'd rather have multiclasses than classless. Reminds me too much of Skyrim, even tho it was fun there was no tactical depth. Also in PoE it doesn'tr make any sense, since you have a party with up to 6 chars and can put together so many classes. Tbh. multiclassing would probably **** up the fun fo many people since a lot complained about MC in Baldur's Gate.
  5. Good to know, since that wasn't clear. My point was a different one though, when I was talking about how hard/easy it is to get attributes I was referring to the fighter itself, not any other class who might help him. Especially the priest buffs are not per encounter from the start and if you don't want to rest all the time you might not want to rely on spells for auto attack accuracy. Since you the op don't seem to play on PotD I guess this discussion is moot, since it doesn't always matter that much on lower difficulties with a full party. Glad your question got answered earlier, have a nice time with the game.
  6. You guys make the mistake assuming everyone has classes like the priest in their party. There's also people soloing...
  7. wot? There's nothing you cfan buff easier than Might in the whole game, accuraccy isn't even close to being as easy. Dex was for me always a caster thing and I don't think I'm the only one. :D Who wouwld play a full party and not PotD? Blasphemy. :D
  8. I haven't tried out all the talents so I can only comment on the two I used. Veterans recovery is REALLY good on a pally, even on a solo, where fights are longer than it's duration and more so with a group behind you to make fights shorter. Yes, longer duration would be nice, but I can live without it. As to the fighters durastion getting nerfed, it was not necessary but I don't mind at all, just another reason to make INT not a dump stat which I welcome highly. Gallant's focus is super awesome on a ranged fighter, even if you have a pally(not ranged) you cover more space with accuracy buff.
  9. Well you could always skip reload with spells, tho I agree skipping it with weapons seems too much.
  10. Even tho it get's really easy in Def Bay, these days I don't consider 3-4(5) really hard anymore. As soon as you know how to handle certain situations, the only restrictions are those you lay on yourslf.: Do I really want to be level 5 before Caed Nua? (4 works fine), do I really want to kill Raedric as soon as possible or leave him for later and so forth...
  11. Intellect affects the duration of your regen. A 3 intellect lasts something like 58 seconds and a 10 gets something like 90 seconds. In my opinion the effect is pretty lackluster to start with so a reduced duration of a weak ability is not much of a penalty. For a good ability like Vigorous defense a dumped 3 intellect still gets like 12 seconds I think. It is less than the standard 20 seconds but if you place the 7 dumped stat points in resolve to balance out the Will defense you'd be ahead by 7 deflection all the time and behind by 13 for the eight seconds difference in the buff duration. A fair trade off in my eyes. You're joking, right, RIGHT?
  12. Usewd to be buggerd, meant to be fixed:https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/81692-20-coil-of-resourcefulness-is-exploitable/ Will test it later if I find the time.
  13. Stuff like Confident Aim is also influenced by IN. Has anybody tested, whether IN affects the new Constant Recovery which is timed now? The "poor man's" Recovery I have on my pala seems to be influenced by it and I'm really thinking about rerolling for higher IN.
  14. Wait, the junkie is the weakest of all the "hero's" opponents, he basically only fights him in his mind, while in reality he is to busy spazzing out on the floor. ;P
  15. Yeah drugs only good for ciphers, but for me they just fall under the category "food" and theres ofc food which is generally good.
  16. Darcozzi Paladin can boost accuracy further. (Inspiring Liberation)
  17. My recent playthrough is 2.02 - 2.03. : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzscMCQ3321tZnhMkVkMjshoDKzyRRf2s
  18. Really? Why didn't you say anything? I just realised it's gamepressure I used not Gambanshee. :D
  19. Very nice guide. I personally feel, that you don't give enough credit to Perception = accuracy. Might is not only very easy to buff, but also way less important in my opinion. I soloed with paladin and cipher on PotD before perception even gave accuracy and the cipher is very similar playstyle wise to the druid. I recently started another paladin and even tho accuracy is way less important for him, than a spellcaster I mamxed accuracy and have might only at 14 (+1 Living lands) You get +2 Might permanently for 2 questchoices (cruel) and also almost always have food for +2 Might.
