It's neat but not the best aura. And it doesn't really matter since you can switch between auras anyway. I'd never play more than one pally in a group, the damage output is just too bad. And I'm definitely pro pally. but remember the time, when trolls flooded the forum with paladin is useless threads, which went on for an insane amount of pages?

I tried to do it. To stay in the very lower corner, but that Fampyr's charming skill is so annoying, that was impossible do more than 5 hits without they spam that thing. Yeah. I couldn't put a better title without mentioning Readric's raise. Mainly because is much more easy for people find this kind of content, when looking for help on google. Their AI is probably better now, just remembered, that my cipher fight was way before 2.0, I think 1.4 or smth.^^

I never tried to lure them one by one with my cipher and I especially wouldn't do it with wizard. The staff is super op since it reaches behind enemies. Just lure them down the stairs, there is a corner which you can use as chokepoint to fight one or two at a time and not get flanked.

Unle3ss your ranger is at least level 12, you don't have to compare him to the wizard which is probably the best solo class or the pala which is equal. Ranger on low levels just sucks ass for solo. How do you reload on TCS? I mean I know it's possible, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of the challenge?

I used Reviving for my three chicks, it's a very good ability, go for it.

She does aggro, but for some reason she doesn't actually move. Actually I don't know for certain that she aggros since I had betrayed her so she and her adds started off aggressive when I entered the cavern. Honestly I doubt I could have beaten her without killing off the Adragans separately. I was trying to beat her in a straight up tank and spank, with Eder tanking her facing away from the rest of the party, Durance nearby trying to keep Eder alive and the rest of the party DPSing from behind and that was hard enough. Having to handle the Adragans mind control, with the possibility that they'd mind control Durance and then Eder would die would have been hellish. That probably tells you all you need to know about my skill at PoE Hey I wasn't trying to be elitist I just get passionate about winning and not cheating lol. I would say my skill isn't that great either. I have beaten PotD/ToI run but my last TWO Triple Crown runs have ended in deaths. One with the ghost Fight in Caed Nua. I didn't know that the new patch made ghosts immune to Knock Down and just recently I for some reason couldn't handle Pendhelm at level 3. I didn't have enough melee and my front line got knocked down. I also decided to try something new and not run a Priest (TC is probably not a time to experiment) so had no repulsing seal for my back line. I would say I am better then the average guy but I am about 1 for 6 in PotD ToI runs. So I have done it but I am not that great. I am sure a great player NEVER gets beat on PotD/ToI edit: never mind.^^

Cipher is really good vs dragons because of disintegration. Wizard is not that bad either I guess.

The brath attack is a cone it does not hit behind the dragon or to her sides but only in front.

If you want to do all battles paladin is not a bad choice because of defenses, but I think if you preplan every fight with another save (non TOI) wizard is very powerful.

The paladins at Readrics are not tough because they do a lot of damage tho, but because they are hard to kill. Take away the priest who heals them and they are a lot less scary. Also they are 2 paladins vs your one paladin.

Haven't read everything, but ... Last time I tried to solo with barb was before 2.0. Accuracy was bad so it sucked. Should be better now, but single target dps is not barbarians specialty. Carnage is as Boroer said his thing.

This is my point of view, even on PoTD @Torm51 I perfectly know that dex is kinda of useless for a paladin, but still it help balance your save rolls overall AND after max might/int/res there is no stat that you actually need in a group party. Con is still the stat that need most rework in the game IMO, it's kind of useless to go any over the avarage roll even for a tank. In a group party, on PoTD, with a good min/max party you will squish in so MUCH freaking damage if you know what you are doing after the per buff that fights will last too shortly to gain anything from CON, and at that point any extra bit DPS or better saves are gonna help you much more. Maybe it's just my playstile, since I now know PoE so much that I don't mind running around with a semi glass cannon party (melee 10 con ranged 3 con). With the spread of MAX Might/con/res ( must have) 10 con and the rest into dex/per you achieve MAX utility and damage (even if you are an utility tank) and better saves split overall. And you will do at least some damage if things go terribly wrong. In fact in a couple of occasions I had my pally and my fighter (10 con, weapon shield tank with stack of retaliation items later on) finished a couple of hard fights while I was rushing into ched nua dungeon on PoE with a low level party. Anything can happens, and if you can switch role or at least help into something different, even a bit of auto attack, that can be a game changer. Or maybe it's just me that I still hate CON so much and I still honestly believe is a game fail design and the the worst attribute in the game Cool but a dumped PER? So with a class that has a very average ACC you are going to dump it to 4?? I did not see he dumped PER. I don't like that as stated before. especially combined with dumped DEX.

Yeah, exactly. Attempting to solve problems by creating new problems is the PoE team's whole M.O. It shouldn't be surprising at this point. That's a good point. But I rather have difficult fights even tho poorly designed, than the enmy A.I. killing itself all the time.

I can feel the love. @Achilles Would you rather have fights vs. weak human mobs?

I don't see 10 CO as dumped it's average and outside of solo very playable.

@Vorad Your answer is sadly very dumb. I don't use console and I don't have the kind of stats you suggested I have. I'm not even gonna bother and read the rest you wrote.

You avoid the issue, a tank is only a tank if it can avoid damage. By having the most important defense vs breath attacks and many spells super lowa you do the opposite of tanking so you have to cheese around getting hit by dragons breath. I'm not saying anything against your playstyle my first pala cheesed around tanking the dragon, too, not because of breath but his deflection was too low (had around 150). When I played my party of three chicks I truly tanked the adra with my pally, while fighter and cipher mopped up all the adds (I initiated combat via dialogue). Then the cipher proceeded to disintegrate the dragon which wasn't even that easy and I failed a few times cause I either got hit by breath or wings with the cipher until I realised I only need to attack it from the back. Two disintegrates later the dragon was gone and my pally was starting to not have max endurance anymore. :D (Fight took at least 10 minutes and pally facetanked all the time.)

You talking about beetles? Weapons are quite ineffective against them unless you use 2handers. Raw damage is really good vs them if you have cipher or rogue.

I was not quoting the op but your post stating a 3 DE + PE char is the best tank.

Pro tip: solo on PoTD and you will see why this is no tank. You didn't only take less damage because of the AI targeting squshies, but also because a party kills mobs way faster.

lol 81, are you serious? That's 100(!) points too few for Adra Dragon. :D:D:D Crits all days. I think even my cipher solo potd had more reflex than that without having any ability close to F+C. Look at my TC thread at the Adra Dragon screenshot. I had about same or even less Reflex on my tanks there, see how much dmg i took by the end. But that was not due to your tanks being awesome tanks. Maybe tank means something different to you than me.
