Choosing a class
Yes.

What lash would you recommend for bosses?
Freeze should be slightly better in terms of dragons, only Alpine is immune to it and for the bog dragons it's the weakest defense. But personally I think corrode is still really good, although Sky dragon is also immunte to it. At the end of the day the choice of lash is not gonna affect the outcome of a boss fight.

First playthrough questions
Let's not forget Attack speed malus does nothing against Sacred Immolation the paladins main damage source.

First playthrough questions
Cautious Attack stacks with Superior Deflection, I always take both.

Going to ultimate achivement, class suggestion?
Yes you also need accuracy but there isn't any talents for acc which prevent you from maxing deflection.

Choosing a class
This, is what I'm trying to get across, too. I play chanters totally without invocations once I get to level 9 so I wouldn't stick to them being his only strength it's just not true.

Choosing a class
You get BR earlier than 16 it just increases in usefulness with levels.

Going to ultimate achivement, class suggestion?
When I played WM 2 I couldn't get the two fingers to work on the chanter himself, so if that's still the case (was 3.02) it's useless solo. I guess if you run at the start of the fight and get the invocation before you engage shatter the schackles is really good, but once you reach level 9 you might not want to use invocations anymore cause of stacking dragon thrashed.

Choosing a class
I don't think you quite got Boroers point, stacking chants has nothing to do with invocations and you only need a few seconds for it with BR. Also if you don't use a party a chanter would also be useful on lower difficulties, it's just hard to notice the awesome effects of the chanter if you instakill every encounter anyway.

Choosing a class
Yep. In D&D step 1 to succeeding with a bard was to pick a kit that removed as many bard-like qualities as possible. Ikr. In solo you don't even use the song. That's why chanters are so awesome in PoE you can almost do anything while chanting.

The annoying noob strikes back!
I remember playing and enjoying pretty much everything Neverwinter Nights (all sequels and expansions), but no part of the story in any of them was memorable enough for me to remember any details now despite having played them multiple times.... Same with Kotor. I do remember parts of the Mass Effect storyline though. Unlike say... BG2, who's antagonist will forever remain in my memory. Even when I'm old and senile I'll still remember that SoB. Yea Irenicus was just beyond any antagonist in any game I ever played. Excellent voice over and character.

Choosing a class
Bards sucked quite a bit in BG even tho I loved my solo blade. Chanters are the most powerful class in PoE and the Brisk Recitation was quite unnecessary. Level 1 Phrases and Invocations are op.

Going to ultimate achivement, class suggestion?
Yah as soon as you piled some bodies it's awesome that's another reason I try to aggro instead of just slaughtering countless phantoms. But if you aggro too many too early you still die.^^ So it's just not for ToI.

Going to ultimate achivement, class suggestion?
True but that took too long for me.^^ As you said not worth it you get level 5 w/o Radric. Does the reload chant apply to attack speed for melee, too?

Going to ultimate achivement, class suggestion?
Yeah the problem for Toi is sometimes the phantoms aggro either none of the enemies towards the chanter or if you trihard to aggro 1 all of a sudden all of them rush you, dead. That's why it's not safe for ToI at all. If you send the lone phantom in the mioddle of the enemies it gets butchered so its substantial to separate them. If I test something out for my ToI save I never am satisfied with one successful try but always test several to make sure I don't get killed on ToI.

Didn't have too much time, still in Act 1 but only Caed Nua and Raedric left. On my test char I beat Raedric but on reloads it seemed unreliable so I don't want to risk it on the ToI save. From today on I have 20 days holiday tho. :D

So Ancient Memory and Veteran's recovery doesn't seem to stack, can anyone confirm that?

Arcane Reflexion and Grimoire Imprint
`No idea about the imprint but if the reflection works like the shield it doesn't reflect Aoes and beam spells.

The annoying noob strikes back!
The new survival mode looks more like a chore than a challenge to me, having to eat/drink like every 14 real life mins to stay healthy or some crap, and no fast travel in a game with such a huge map, sure there are vertibirds later but that's way later, but it's really just a waste of time, the designers expected people to have insane amount of free time and patience to pour into this mode or some ****. I don't really see challenge in this, which requires people to think about how to overcome, but more like a pain in the ass. Skill design is really lame in fallout 4 also, the no level cap design, again encouraging people to pour time into the game, gauss rifles won't even appear in the game unless the player spend like 50 hours leveling up, and makes it annoying for people like me to theorycraft builds because there isn't a level restriction, and weapon mods, one can spend many skill points and many int sacrificing build paths to unlock certain weapon mods only to find that a lot of them can be dropped and bought, and it's pure rng, idk what to even say about this system. DA:I looks more like a dating sim to me, the first map is huge, then the rest of the maps were just dullaf, a lot of useless features like those points you get with nowhere to spend on, and again, no level cap, idk why people even like this feature. I'm more looking forward to elder scrolls 6, although skyrim's combat wasn't exactly great either, my favourite game in this genre, or around this genre is probably kingdom of amalur: reckoning, the combat in that game is pretty amazing, and it has a pretty good skill tree system, open for theorycraft, too bad the art and story fall short. Well the challenge comes from you not being able to manually save. If you really play that game mode the other additions like no fast travel will make sense all of a sudden, goes very well with having to sleep to save. I never got around playing more than the tutorial in DA2 but I probably should have tried DA:O before which I never even touched, sadly.

Engagement and reach weapons
Now that you guys mention it Lurkers do it too. Weird but I guess disengagement will only happen if you try to attack the engaging character idk.

Engagement and reach weapons
Engagement is supposed to work on reach? Doesn't feel like it should... On the other hand ogres always get disengagement. Bug maybe?
