  1. Oh wow, that breastplate. I already don't miss even on upscaled Sky Dragon with higher fort than the bog dragon's I didn't graze with "only" beast chant and camping bonus. So I guess with that breastplate I'll just disintegrate as always but maybe even crit. I have coordinated attacks but no marking weapon but I guess too much overkill won't be necessary.
  2. I don't use traps but I also never used them, found them cheesy back in the day when they were good and since I'm a creature of habit I stayed away from them after the nerf. There is still situations were they are good in my opinion, mostly low level, for example soloing Raedrics asap. But in a non solo party I don't think it's worth the time at all.
  3. Oh yeah, that's a good tip, since I have a cipher dominating the not immune dragon will result in tasty carnage. Well it's gonna be easier for me with 3 thatn you solo, especially since with mindweb I don't have squishies.
  4. Hm ok, so I guess Bog Dragons will be more challenging.
  5. I kind of feel upscaled Sky dragon is actually as strong as Alpine Dragon. The raw stats even look better than Alpine, instead of doing the massive damage of Alpine breath Sky stuns. Anyone know if Adra dragon is upscaled when Act 3 is upscaled? Otherwise it will be a joke for my 3 monsters.
  6. Yes, if you go melee you need less DEX, 10 is absolutely fine if you dual wield. CON and RES are fine at 10, too Tbf even tho maxed Int is nice it isn't absolutely necessary either, PER is your main stat by far because of your many awesome FORT targeting spells and the crazy Fort defenses of so many enemies.
  7. This, so much. If something were added to the game I'd be totally fine with it instead of buffing something that already gets used by many people.
  8. I would go with a cipher. Very nice dps and cc and ofc once you get there reaping knives + barbarian = win.
  9. Yea true, but the priest has so much support, lol. Charmed enemies do indeed profit from it, tested on the broodmother on upscaled rRussetwood, for Cleansing flaming her companions I mindwebbed her twice. (I still had dragon chant switched of or the fight would have been quicker.^^) You can easily avoid that tho by going out of range from the charmed enemy, only allies in close proximity (I think something like 3m) profit from the web.
  10. I voted no, because reload weapons are fine if you switch. It was mentioned in another recent thread, that using several loaded weapons after another is historical correct and reloading on a battlefield was a dumb idea in real life history. Apart from that using 3 weapon slots, 2 guns and 1 bow is an ideal way to use a cipher, using a gun for FoD on paladin is as awesome and I'm sure there are other applications like the already mentioned rogue. If something is to weak it doesn't get used, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who heavily relies on guns in this game.
  11. Yea I think chanter, cipher, barb is actually better than my trio, since you can get chanter def almost as high as paladin. It's jsut slightly more work with scrolls in certain situations like fampyrs and dragons since you need protection from terrify or charm. I'm pretty lazy and even tho I don't mind microing a single char, microing 3 sometimes feels like a chore, if I had 6 I probably would go 6 chanters, lol. I wonder if priest chanter cipher is actually necessary, sure you get the highest defense + priest spells, but what are you gonna use your support spells for if you have 200ish defenses in all 4 catgories?
  12. Barb is one of the best reaping knives recipients, go for it.
  13. I would imagine so. I just realised that after my respec Kana somehow deleted dragon slashed out of his chantbook and I jusat rekt the fampyr lord and straight after those nasty fampyrs on the russetwood map without even realising my only chants were Wengridh and comrades...
  14. So even though I took my time to get there (started end of march, lol) I finally got to level 15 with my Trio party, paladin, Kana and GM. I've got to say defensive mindweb is no less than op, but also I feel it's still alright for such a high level ability and doesn't need a nerf or anything. Till level 15 I ran GM as ranger and Kana as tank, now I respeced to almost purely offensive dual wielders (took Superior Deflection as only safety talent) and start the fight with an arquebus shot to get 80 focus. I quickly build 80 again for reaping knives, cast it on kana and then wonder wtf I even did that because now I build 170 focus in seconds but since the fight is almost over it's a waste of time to cast abilities, since melee GM reks so much it is a beauty to see. Haven't done the dragons yet, nor Cragholt or half of WM1 (and ofc all WM2) but from what I've seen vs the fampyr lord (my 1st test) no fight is gonna be a challenge.
  15. Yeah, you need Def Bay items in Act 1 it's quite tough. Only char I did it with in Act 1 is monk.
  16. Stats look good. If you want to drop some PER for MI do it on level 9 when you get dragon slashed. Don't drop IN. Coastal Aumaua is actually really good since there is not many items that help you vs stun, wild orlan is slightly better but not that much. I don't like Fire godlike for a tank at all and Moonlike only gives healing it's better on non tank classes.
  17. You mean at the end of Act 1 or really 2? You can do Radric with level 5 if you have good equip and have been to Defiance Bay, but latest with level 7, at the end of Act 2 you are at least 9 and ofc the fight will be very easy.
  18. Oh I didn't see you want to go 2 Might. A low Might tank is not good at all, go with at least 10 I would recommend 12 or 14. Con is much less valuable but should still at low level not be too far below 10. (can later be respecced lower if needed) You don't need 20 Resolve, 12-14 is easily enough.
  19. You start with Wengrith, then Comrades, then Soft winds. Can't write more right now, gtg.
  20. Yeah drinking potions is a bitch and I'm entirely positive it's a bug.
  21. Yeah, they are great to use with speed, but that's more an offtank than a tank.
  22. That's why I mentioned the importance of sending in your characters in the right order. I found out that when a melee is engaged to a tank - or even if the tank is surrounded by melees and remaining melees circle around trying to engage - while the squishy/-ies are not in sight, they will not go for your squishies if you send them in after (which often only takes a few seconds) Paladins do not have less deflection than a fighter when you max your Faith and conviction and they have much higher other defenses especially fortitude is much more important than deflection. A chanter is a better tank because you don't need to attack with the chanter to do damage you can drink potions and cast scrolls while your chant continues to damage, also if you cast the reflex and fort/will chant before your damage chant you get +10 to those defenses for free, those chants are super quick. Engagement slots do not matter at all your tank will always engage way more enemies than 1/3 if you position clever. Yes I do indeed upload youtube videos about Pillars as Victor Creed.
