Btw because of Stun I'm convinced by now that coastal Aumaua is actually a lot better than I and many people saw it compared to Wild Orlan. There's so many things you can do vs paralyze and even petrify but for stun you only have the talent to get +10 (which combined with the fort talent is very good nonetheless) and since Aumaua also gives +2 Mi it's not that shabby to begin with.

Right now only possible with the blade of the endless paths + durgan + either Alacrity or similar class specific buffs like Time parasite. I'm not quite sure what max dex would add to the equasion tho, since the char I tried it with was GM and she "only" has 16 base dex. Maybe with 20+ Dex you can do it with other weapons.

All kinds of DoTs sadly don't count as a kill or the maximum damaga for your char. I always curse the statistics in this game, other games do that better, but it is worse than mere statistics if you want to get on kill effects. Back when I soloed my cipher I always wondered why for ages my best kill was some random adragan or something, while I killed the sky dragon, until I realised I killed it with disintegration and PoE sadly doesn't credit the caster of a DoT with the kill. As I said in another threead in my trio now it's extremely pparent that DoTs don't count even as damage done by the caster (except for the initial tick I guess) since my paladin is listed as highest damage overall, even tho dragon slashed did a lot between level 9 and 13. So the same applies ofc for a wounding weapon and on kill effects will not trigger.

So I tested Firebrand on Crägholdt map and I'm sorry to be blunt but it sucks. Damage isn't higher than bittercut, but since I neither respecced for flame damage talent nor had flame damage chant on I'm sure that can be changed. My main beef with it is the accuracy, which dropped to 75 from 98 I had before. Ofc I also didn't have 0 recovery and might I add also quite slow recovery in comparison to for example the Blade from the endless path.

Drifting to far ot here so it's my last post, but however one argues be it damage "beast" or different damage types there are plenty of weapons superior to Ravenwing in the endgame, but if you choose it for the looks/rp thats perfectly fine, me I love the look of dual bittercuts and Gwisk Glass on my cipher and the damage is the best ingame.

If you don't use a shield I would not use the talent it only works for shields. The question is if you want to support your group, +5 defense from the Gilded Vale shield is nothing to scoff at and as already mentioned your damage will really come to play with SA and be pretty mediocre before. Weapon and shield is an awesome talent, since it buffs both deflection and reflex and doesn't steal attack speed.

I once thought about doing a party that simply is built around giving the rogue all the support to constantly land max dmg hits with a heavy ranged weapon. Mainly wanted to see a) how high the damage can get and b) how viable it is for not only 1 chosen but most encounters. But then I thought why waste my time while a cipher also supports the party and doesn't need a party built around it.
