  1. at the end my problem isn't survive, as u said, there are tons of features to survive simply i don't understand WHY they have to ignore melee engage to attack me even i'm back. Ok there is no aggro in poe combat but there is logic to avoid melee engage.
  2. I would just know if other ranged/caster watchers have same problem. I could also delete all and restart a run if this a problem of mine, but if this a problem about all ranged watchers... well i'll delete game.
  3. No it is impossible... At start game there is a isle where are a dragon with a 4-5 xaurips... Well i can't kill them... is impossible. I have Eder, Aloth, Xotli a second tank pally created and me. Simply champ xaurip, dragon and another xaurip charge on me, taking disengagin attack from my warriors but ignore them... ONLY after they have killed me return to attack my melee chars... This is simply pathetic, every strategy is useless at this point... Is possible? My wrong? Game bugged?
  4. Ehehe... i have over 300 hours in Poe so i've builded Eder like a tank with a damage. Hammer for dual damage type, 1h and shield style for deflection, defender for enemy engage etc. etc. tank style doesn't change between poe 1 and poe 2... Simply enemies, in certain areas like ship boarding or scripted ones, ignore my melee guys and charge me. Not Aloth, not Xotli, just me... when i'm orizzontal they attack Eder...
  5. Well, when i can move on normal maps i have no problems. Tanks first, other ranged and hided etc. etc. but in "scripted" areas is terryfing. A Ship boarding? Ah! All ranged pirates have to kill me before attack every others, same for event ares, like undead in swamp, or dragon in pass. I have to avoid or destroy all ships because i can't win in map fights because i die istantly...
  6. Hi all, i'm a "veteran" of 1st Poe so i know his combat system but here, in Deadfire, i think something is wrong. Why all damn mobs, bosses, enemies have to attack Watcher until is dead? I have a druid-chanter summoner so my char is projected to stay back. No, is impossible. Every pirate crew, every mob band have to avoid my "tank" and charge me. This isn't my first char here but i'm really bored. On first Poe enemies don't avoid first line warriors to attack pc, here seems that Eder (and a second tank i've created) simply doesn't exist. With this char i'm lv 5, with 8 cons and a leather armour, well i die fastest than light... This is really absurd. I don't know what i have to do. I don't want roll a melee char because combat system is "strange". In every case there is possibility is a fault of mine SO: what i should do?
  7. a mod for normal size sounds awesome! Thanks a lot p.s. i'm trying with a blunderbuss and it is better because his range is lower respect pistol and i have to stay close enemies so my auras work on my friends while i stay in second line.
  8. Hi dude, thanks for build. I'm doing a build near your but based on ranged attacks. I really don't like necromancer/witch doctor melee. For me, just my opinion, have to be a back caster. But in this way many decay spells are more hard to cast and need a micro management to be useful, especially for chanter auras that have small radius. However i'm trying to use pistols. A thing i can't, really, tolerate are that damn small skeletons! Why obsidian used that lousy skin? Why beckoner have to summon micro skeletons? Are really hideous. Just put same skin with less stats... They seems skeletons of babies... I'm really annoyed by that!
  9. As I said: most of those spells are foe only. Torrent of Flame is an exception. Fan of FLames, too. But Ghost Blades for example, Death Ring, Minoletta's Piercing Burst etc. are foe only, they will only harm enemies. Foe only means enemies only? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Damn english! :D
  10. Ofc can use "around caster spells" standing in second line but they hurt your teammates... many time i was near to kill palegina or eden Wizard is really powerful but need a micromanagement. I like ranged caster not for safety but because, for me, a caster is ranged. I've grown with D&D red edition, Baldur's Gate etc. etc. and i can't like totally a melee caster. For ia in Dragon Age: Inquisition too i can't like knight enchanter. However i'll try..
  11. How can make an "undead"? And over all: how can make a ranged mage if best spells are around the mage or 6 meters far mage? Maura's Tentacles = 6 meters Death Ray = 5 meters Death Ring = 5 meters around caster Minoletta piercing burst = 3 meters around caster avoiding ofc fan of flame, ghost blades, corrosive siphon or draining touch.. all interesting and, for me, most powerful spell are for melee caster. And a lot of them are "around the caster" that means damage all other characters... A single line melee tank wizard only can use rightly that spells??? an armor with huge rd, Bittercut and shield, a lot of deflection, a lot of dexterity to increase casting time, corrosive damage talent.... Really similar to Bilestomper build as Boeroer said....
  12. I don't know how works Bleak Fang but this game lacks a real necromancy magic line. To create a undead summoner/caster need to mix chanter/druid/wizard but for me is a bad thing, especially for POE animancy background. And the best corrode spell of wizard, Death Ring, is a melee spell. I can't understand this way... WIzard have "phisique du role" to become a necromancer, chanter have summons and druid have many corrode/dot/pestilences spells... I'm thinking about a druid necrotic reroll.. With that stiletto and Rotfinger Gloves However i didn't find Touch of Rot spell in druid spells.. where is it?

  14. Hi man, thanks a lot for this detailed advice. I play on hard but, truly, i don't like much fire element. I don't know why, maybe i'm boring about fire mages or fire spells, but i normally like more corrosion spells than fire but i see that build which use combustion wounds and i would know if that is viable. But we are here now and, thanks to your patience, i ask you how make a viable corrosion damage build. I have White March, i want make a ranged wizard with corrode damage, apprentice sneak attack, but i'm undecided abut weapon: if taking a sceptre/rod etc or a firearm...
