Psychic backlash
Raven Darkholme replied to rheingold's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Slightly ot I never take that talent, even tho it is probably quite good vs deathguards and Dragons, but other than that it's pretty useless. -
What is the most op party for your personal playstyle? For me 5 chars would be fixed, the 6th I'd probably not go with the strongest option there is. I'd go with my trio as a base, invincible paladin, Kana + GM. Then I would add a girlfriend for Kana a lady chanter, so he doesn't get lonely, just kidding I want to be able to cast both dragon slashed and damage shield at the same time, but I would still build him a gf. GM would get a boyfriend, so I a) can cast ally powers on each other and b) have two chances at building 90 focus at combat start for mindweb. (Also Echo muahahaha) As 6th char the strongest option would be priest but I hate priests. Druid would be awesome, because relentless facerollstorm, but then again my brain can't cope with 3 micro intensive chars. So I probably would take a barbarian for dat juicy damage.

Thing is because of scrolls will is quite unimportant since you can just immune everything even without a priest. You can't immune stun and I don't think prone (not quite sure on prone). Also if you run a paladin you don't even need charm immune as long as his will is decent (For me it's the lowest attribute and still at 143 in combat) because you just knock your allies out of charm with SA + Aegis combo.

Look at Kaylon's video where he does that bounty with a barb. No pulling and no spilitting. Just a good "splat". Yeah I saw that way back but I guess I remembered wrong. I don't summon too often, last time I did it was because GM died, so I'm not sure, but it should since it even works on enemies when charmed.

So I just found Twin Sting, since this is my first time seeing this weapon I was quite awed at it. Unlocking doesn't seem to be too hard, haven't tried it yet tho. (Just went out of the game to see what the upgrades are) Being able to shoot two times without reload seems already op for my mindweb build, but also +3 focus on hit? Sign me up. :D

Well, any party with a cipher and tank is gonna stomp them by the power of mindweb alone, no cheese needed. Even if the party just consists of 2, tank + cipher, it's not gonna be that much harder than with my 3 chars. As long as the defenses of the pala are good enough to tank them the whole pary will get those.

Did this on the first try and my first time ever. GM got knocked out very quickly since she only build 77 focus, 3 too little for mindweb. Second Chance on Gwisk Glass allowed me to build my lacking focus and from than on it was a pretty standard fight, even tho I used Llengrath's potion on my paladin and Kana used Moonwell. I'd say a paladin can solo this without any splitting. (Didn't split with my trio either.)
