  1. I don't think there's a timer on any quest in the game, go nuts.
  2. I'm not sure exactly how much of Durance's backstory as it is was intended by Avellone but his quest was originally going to be a text adventure where you wandered through a dungeon that represented his memories and found out that he had fought the Grieving Mother at some point and they erased each other's memories or something.
  3. -If you got both parts of the expansioN there are actually 3 companions, 2 in the opening town and one further along the White March main quest. -You can come and go as you please, but the expansion areas only become available when you've gone to the temple of Woedica in Defiance Bay and the opening fight is balanced around being level 7 or 8. You can't reset the scaling once you've started the area but it won't scale down to a low level, only up to a high one.
  4. Being soulbound and leveling up as you complete his quests would be so perfect for his story, which is literally about his staff and his soul. I doubt it'll happen at this stage but companions coming with a soulbound weapon would be a cool thing to bear in mind when making the next game.
  5. I really wish they'd put in an extra ending slide for party members who stayed and died.
  6. Father's Teeth I think? Edit: Oh ok there were several more posts after the question
  7. I was a little confused by how the dilemmas went- it seemed like I'd choose to have Eder help the animancer, say, and they'd leave the stronghold, and then the animancer would come back and just passively increase my prestige without doing anything or seeming to be present. I wondered if there was any follow up to the dilemma or if I was missing something. Having them stand around in the throne room just saying "thanks for sending Eder to help me out" or whatever would be very cool.
  8. I've wondered this myself. Plus Ondra's temple becomes Abydon's temple in the second part, is that only if you do the Ondra's temple quest? Does it stay Ondra's temple in the second half if you don't? If it does, can you then do the Ondra's temple quest in the second half? Will it become Abydon's temple afterwards?
  9. I think party members will refuse to do it if you haven't done their quest yet
  10. There seems to be a slide for if you don't fight the Eyeless at all, I've just skimmed through the new slides but it looks like it replaces the very last slide of the main game, "a long journey loomed ahead" The new slide basically says "also an army of monsters killed you"
  11. My own suggestion would be: Play main quest until WM1 is unlocked At this point stop doing the main quest and do sidequests until level 7/8 Do WM1 Back to the main game, progress the main quest to Twin Elms Go anywhere you want except Elmsreach Do WM2 Back to the main game, go to Elmsreach and finish up the main quest The increased urgency of WM2 means it fits in quite well in act 3, and the scale and stakes mean it's best done after doing sidequests in the city rather than in the middle of that
  12. If you stay to do it yourself you can indeed die, and I did. You get a unique ending slide: "you died but at least you stopped the Eyeless". You can apparently also be rescued personally by Ondra, though I don't know what the prerequisite for that is. And Devil Of Caroc will just sink to the bottom of the water and walk calmly back to shore.
  13. The description for that item refers to it as a "neckalace"
  14. It seems like there's a set of WM1-exclusive slides, which are overwritten and not used at all if you have part 2. I wonder if they decided to cater to people who only bought part 1 or if they came up with different slides later on. I'd like to know the requirements for the new ones, because I got the same as you got for the Iron Flail but I tried to settle things peacefully so I thought I'd have got something more positive. Also yeah, Zahua's slides seem to be bugged, I also saw Devil of Caroc's picture for him. I'll check if it's been reported in the Tech Support forum.
  15. I'd like a three-way option for scaling difficulty: 1: Scale Automatically; 2: Prompt Scaling(as it does now); 3: Never Scale. That way I can protect my immersion but still get as much challenge as I want.
  16. Would those saves not load at all? I'd have assumed anything where you saved in the main game would be fine but you wouldn't be able to load anything in the expansion. Then again there are expansion spells you might have chosen at level-up that wouldn't be available any more.
  17. This is a really cool item but I've no idea what to use it on. Definitely something that's already been upgraded to Legendaeh as I believe enchantments are duplicated too. But what would be the best candidate?
  18. A race-specific answer would be really nice. race and class specific stuff in general is the kind of thing I hope a sequel would have a lot more of.
  19. I think the pacing of the stronghold quest would be better if the final bit, where the angry mob gathers outside and you prepare for a battle, wouldn't trigger until act 3. It feels more fitting to have an epic battle like that after you've been in charge of Caed Nua for a while, done some scripted stuff with visitors and some grand adventures, and made more of a name for yourself. It's weird to think you can defeat the Lord of Yenwood and his army of Bleak Walkers and then go back to Defiance Bay looking for scepter parts so you can gain enough rep to help Eder with his quest.
  20. This could be pretty cool, make it multiple choice flashbacks like the "inquisitor" story in POE1. Your character's race and class could be imported, if you don't import they could randomise them, flashbacks take you on the Watcher's journey post-Thaos and end in a death you have to avenge, or at least finish whatever the Watcher started.
  21. Early on George Ziets said they might save the *~Big Revelations~* for a future game. The decision to have them at the end of this one was probably due to not being sure if they'd sell enough for a sequel; if you're only getting one shot you might as well aim high for the climax! Hopefully Obsidian have some Thoughtz on how to continue the story from there.
  22. Is the song from the trailer going to be available anywhere? I can't find the vocals in the game files but it's very pretty. Edit: oh, it's in the PX1 music files, apparently it plays in the inn. I never heard it, may have been a bug.
  23. There's a cyclopedia entry on the strange illness it turns out:
  24. In the game Pallegina's family basically disowned her because as a godlike she can't continue the family line.
  25. In the OP's terms I guess I'd rank them like this: 1: Eder has to be at the top, he's your best friend and gets on with everyone in the party, even tolerating the psycho priest who gloats about how Eder's god got killed. 2: Aloth loves authority and accepts yours immediately. The party generally likes him, more when they find out about his unusual condition. 3: Kana is quite easygoing and non-judgmental. I don't remember him saying a bad word about anyone in the party. 4: Sagani is chill, but has some cross words with Hiravias at one point. 5: Zahua is a zen dude but sometimes prickles other party members with his enthusiastic attitude to suffering. Specifically I remember Kana and Aloth getting annoyed at him. 6: Hiravias is very friendly but gets annoyed at anti-orlan sentiment and angry at anyone messing with Engwithan ruins. Stay away from those topics and he's up for a good time. 7: Pallegina is blunt and dry, but she's pleasant company and the only time I remember her feathers getting ruffled was when Hiravias made a horny comment at her. 8: Devil Of Caroc doesn't interact much with the party but as she's a murderer they probably generally aren't her biggest fans. She's not particularly affectionate to the player and joins your party because you're a means to an end. 9: Durance is antagonistic to every single member of your party and the player character. 10: And nobody else in the party is even aware the Grieving Mother exists. I haven't spent much time with Maneha because I don't like her, but nobody seems to object to her and she's friendly; I'd tentatively put her at about Kana's level.
