Who had the best backstory
Grazza replied to Jedi_hunter101's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think that Atton's is definitely the best back story. The rest of them didn't really have developed back stories. Kreia's back story is basically comprised of one movie. HK doesn't have much in K2 - it was all in K1. T3 has one holo-recording. Visas has about one line about Katarr. Handmaiden only has a bit, as does G0-T0. Mira and Hanharr have slightly more. Bao-Dur's is just about why he fought, and him blaming himself. And then there's Mandalore - none at all. There was only one dialogue aboard the Ravager where he talked about being left by Revan with Visas, and that was cut. Then Atton has his fully-developed story about joining Revan after Malachor V, meeting the Jedi, and abandoning the Sith. It was quite similar to those in K1, where you found out a bit more after each level, except here you found out more every time you gained influence with him. Compared to the rest of them, Atton has, IMO, clearly the best backstory. -
Who would you rather have killed?

I'll add my voice to those of the G0-T0 haters. BTW, who is the idiot that voted for HK-47? He the best character. Funny and a good fighter -
Who's your favourite Star Wars wookiee?
Grazza replied to Styur Voln's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Tarrful was alright. I liked Freyyr (Don't know why, probably sympathy for him as he was betrayed by his own son), but I had to vote for Chewie. -
Who's your fave KotOR 1 character?
Grazza replied to Styur Voln's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Canderous Ordo. Hes a good fighter, and I like his war stories. I like Jolee and HK-47 as well, though. -
Who's your fave KotOR2 party member?
Grazza replied to Styur Voln's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
HK-47. A psychopathic assasin droid with a sense of humour. What more could you ask for? Quotes Statement: I have already learned a great deal, master, and I am anxious to learn more of lying, betrayal, and new ways to harm innocents Definition: Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope...Love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticule, and together, achieving a singular purpose against statistically long odds. And many, many more.... -
No, the conversation with Atton on Peragus II chooses Revans alignment, not the exiles. Your alignment is affected by your actions and conversation choices throughout the game. To get back on topic, it is possible to turn party members into a jedi if you have more than 90 or less than 10 influence with them, so you could turn handmaiden into a jedi if you managed to lose a load of influence. However, she will become a jedi with the opposite alignment to you - meaning she will be a light jedi guardian seeing as you are darkside (If you were lightside, she would be a dark jedi) I think that the conversation where handmaiden gets mad at you is triggered if you have more influence with Visas than Handmaiden. Im not sure if losing a lot of influence with Visas will allow you to become popular with Handmaiden again, but if you wanted to you could reload a save just before you talked to Handmaiden and she got mad at you, and gain loads of influence with her before you gain influence with Visas.

WHAT IS THE DROID FACTORY STORYLINE

The events that I wrote in my post were from Insider. That makes those events canon. -
WHAT IS THE DROID FACTORY STORYLINE

OK, I just checked this out again. M4-78 is canon, but not because it is restored by mods - it was done by Star Wars Insider 83 -
WHAT IS THE DROID FACTORY STORYLINE
Grazza replied to darthjardon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The droid planet is called M4-78 and was being designed for the game as the place where you find Master Vash, alive. Unfortunately, they developers ran out of time and had to drop it, bringing in Korriban instead. Someone else picked up the idea and came up with the story, making it into a magazine or something, so it became a part of Star Wars canon. The story of the planet, as Ive read it, is that droids were sent to the planet to prepare it for colonisation by the Republic. The lead droid intelligence was M4-78 - giving the name of the planet. However, before the Republic got there, the Sith arrived. Thinking them to be the people who were intended to colonise the planet, the droids obeyed them. When the Jedi discovered this, they sent Vash and her apprentice to deal with the Sith. They did this by dumping a load of poison on the planet, killing all life - which is why droids are the only inhabitants of the planet. Before the Sith died, they shut down the droid intelligence and ordered the droids not to turn it back on unless commanded to by a Sith. Consequently, the intelligence is still inactive. Whether this is what OE originally intended the story to be is questionable, but apparently this is now canon. -
how do you turn your companions to the dark side
Grazza replied to Jedi_hunter101's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I thought that you needed some influence with them to bring their alignment closer to yours. -
Also, dont use force powers too much near the start of the vision cave if you are LS. If you are light, your force points don\'t regenerate i think, and you may want some force near the end.

Now I find this interesting, when is a sith dubbed with the mantle of 'Darth'? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When you become an apprentice I think. Anakin became 'Darth Vader' right away right? EDIT: Just remembered something you guys may or may not know... Dark Lord of the Sith DAR + TH = Darth! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> err NO darth is I think germain for darkness.live vader is for father. and the darth tradition started with darth bane, who chose that title because of his master? I'm really not sure. After that there were only two sith at the time. both of them being darth something <{POST_SNAPBACK}> darth does not mean dark in german. also, while darth being short for dark lord of the sith is widely accepted this has nowhere been proven as fact. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought 'Darth Vader' is meant to sound like the Dutch for 'Dark Father'. When they did the prequel trilogy, they thought it would be cool to call all of the sith 'Darth' Inside the Star Wars universe, 'Darth' is a title awarded to both the master and the apprentice in the Sith Order since Darth Bane reformed the order 1000 years before yavin.

I thought that you get ds points if you get 'killed'.

On the first part of the fight, use force resistance if you have it, plus any stims, medpacs and stuff you need to get through the battle. In the second part with the lightsabres, run around the centre circle until you have them seperated, then take them one at a time, using force heal between each battle. Alternatively, try and lose all of them, and attack Traya in the centre - she's helpless at this point, if i remember right. Personally I just repeatedly used Force Storm (If Lightside) or Force Crush (If Darkside), but seeing as you don't have either, it calls for different tactics.

door sequence to jogga's warehouse ?
Grazza replied to Shard's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think you need to get through the huge gate - you only need to find and activate four ships, and they're all on your side of the gate -
I think when discussing the game stories and how they should be reflected or treated its pretty much common agreement that the following holds true: Revan = Lightside Male Exile = Lightside Male The darkside options were a great addition that added replay value but dont think any writers/game designers seriously going to treat future stories or expansions as either of them being Dark Side. Whole story just doesnt flow and play out right if you do. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Didn't LA announce that Lightside Male was the canonical option in both cases?

Who Made The HK Duplicates?
Grazza replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
As I remember, Revan designed HK-47 during the Jedi Civil War, but afterwards the blueprints were stolen, and eventually made their way into the (metaphorical) hands of G0-T0, who is the one producing the HK-50s. -
WHAT IS THE DROID FACTORY STORYLINE
Grazza replied to darthjardon's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
As far as I'm aware this is the story relating to the HK factory: First, the Exile shows the sonic sensor you used on Peragus to HK-47. HK comments that it looks like it came from a HK droid, and that it could possibly be traced back to where the droids are being manufactured (You can still get this dialogue, but can't do the quest) Later, HK-47 actually encounters a HK-50, something that never happens in the current game. 47 tortures 50, and finds out about the factory where they are being made. (The sound clip for this scene is somewhere on the web, but I can't remember the link) The HK-50 factory is the Military sub-base level on Telos, the door to which you can see in the Czerka base on the planet surface, but you cant enter it. HK-47 enters it and finds the HK-50s. Because he is their predecessor, they can't destroy him, and instead obey him. Finally, on that cutscene betweent the remote and G0-T0 on Malachor, which doesn't seem to lead anywhere, G0-T0 summons the HK-50s, but 47 steps in and orders them to turn on G0-T0. They do, and G0-T0 is destroyed. I think that's the story, which I've pieced together from bits I've read on the web. However, I could be horribly mistaken. -
They released a patch which fixes the bugs in the swoop races
-
It took me two playthroughs until I got most of the story (One Light-Side, One Dark), and still I missed things, like the truth about G0-T0. Most of this is down to the fact that I just couldn't be bothered to spend the whole game trying to manage my influence with everyone.
-
There's a latin word 'revenire', meaning 'to come back' - possibly from this?
-
I prefered the bit just before that: T1-N1: Beep-bwip. Boop bop brank? Beep? B-4D4: No, there is nothing preventing you from entering the main office and indiscriminately firing on Czerka personnel with your stun ray.
-
G0-T0 is definitely the most pointless party member - hes not that good in a fight, and theres no point gaining influence with him, because all you get is some lousy dialogue about his past. Despite all the criticism of HK-47, Im happy they brought him back from KotOR - he is one of the funniest characters, and not that bad in combat (He would have been better if we could get his ultimate weapon, but that was in the droid factory, which was cut). Personally, I hope he comes back for any KotOR 3 thats made.

I thought the Sith that Darth Traya was referring to were the original Sith species, who were conquered by the Dark Jedi millenia ago, and now live in the Sith Empire in the unknown regions.

I loved HK's definition of love: Exile: HK, do you know what love is? HK-47:Answer: Many organic meatbags find that question difficult to answer, Master, but I believe I can provide you with a satisfactory definition. Definition: "Love" is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Exile: That is the best definition of love I have ever heard. Also, most of what Hk says. I hope they bring him (+ T3 + the Ebon Hawk) for any KotOR III that is made
