  1. In PotD, you're going to have to accept that you're not going to be able to clear a map entirely the first time you get to it.
  2. Judging from opponent classes, I'd say monk, rogue and priests are the scariest classes. I'm not sure I've run into enemy ciphers...
  3. Yeah, only saw it once though and I'm unsure if it was before or after the patch.
  4. That would prevent you from being ambushed, not from being attacked.
  5. I think that resting bonuses from inns last until you rest Resting bonuses from your stronghold last for more rests. How much exactly, I dunno, I frequently sleep inns cause the bonuses are much better. As far as I'm aware, there's no set duration of x hours, but it is defined by your resting/camping.
  6. I even noticed resting bonuses suppressing item bonuses.. I should've taken a screenshot of that. Though I did cycle through my characters. I had a rather large resting bonus (Dragon's Lair, +2 con +2 might + 2.. something), and it seemed to suppress items that gave lower than that. But items that gave more (say, +3 might) weren't suppressed, nor was the resting bonus
  7. I hit for like 80 damage when the relentless assault bug was still active Also had a deflection rating close to 0 though... which was not good.
  8. Outside being able to hold 2 more monsters down than any other class, I am having a hard time seeing why fighter is so much better at tanking? Is 15 deflection really such a deal breaker? Because that (and 10 on all other defences) is what you're losing as a barbarian compared to a fighter. And the constant regen, which starts to be better in fights that last a lot longer than 30 seconds. I'd love to see some numbers that demonstrate how much better 15 deflection is on a tank with say... 120~ deflection range (with fighter getting 135~). You'll notice how incredibly important holding down 2 more monsters is once you start PotD.
  9. I will post my run when Im done only at act two but im running a non trial of iron parallel, i find that the chanter, while being not very tanky and not very high DPS is the least luck reliant of any class ive played so far, mostly because your summons allow you to reliably mitigate damage, that and the frost trap/speed boost that allows you to kite pretty much anything makes almost any fight winnable. Having said that ive had a couple of close calls where i got burst down and my phantom had to finish the fight for me and was on my knees praying for good rolls XD You save and load your games. That's not really Trial of Iron. In Trial of Iron you either win a fight or lose it (and your game ends), you don't quickly quit the game and then load your game again. Defeats the purpose of Trial of Iron completely. No i don't?? are you confusing me with OP? Im currently on my third ToI run and I havnt save scummed once, even for really annoying things like not getting the frost cloak and accidentally killing the quest giver near the broken bridge. If you had read this thread at all you would see that I completely agree with you, it isnt really trial of iron if you save and reload Yes, I confused you with the OP
  10. Shouldn't you be making topics about how there are no big breasted female warriors in this game you can romance? For God's sake man, even on this forum you have a picture of Cassandra.

  12. So you didn't really do a Trial of Iron run. Just as I expected. I fully believe a true solo Trial of Iron run on PotD can't be done.
  13. Since I can't seem to edit my post: The perpetual updating is gone after deleting and reinstalling the game. The deflection rating is also back to normal after I could finally deactivate Relentless Assault (I could never before) it turned out that skill was activated a dozen times over, and even though the effects seemed suppressed on the character sheet, they actually weren't.
  14. It seems my character still has a deflection rating of only 9 after the patch. That cannot possibly be right, I've checked my screenshots since the beginning: it has never been under 30 until after the patch, then it suddenly dropped to 9. Could it be because of this? (yes deflection says 14 here cause I felt compelled to give him a ring of deflection after finding out)
  15. I'd like the resting mechanic if there was some sort of penalty for resting, i.e. ambushes. But in this game you can murder half a castle, then take a nap; no problems.
  16. For some reason the patch will simply not install. Steam keeps installing it over, and over, and over, and over. Just goes to 0% again after reaching 100% (no download, just installing). Does anybody know how this happens? It seemed to have installed the patch yesterday (after first corrupting my game and reinstalling completely)... but then I had a deflection rating of 9, which is quite surely also a bug.
