  1. Since this is not a bug issue but a feature/design issue, continue here.
  2. See Abilities menu for what each ability does mastered, and how far you are towards mastering it. You master a skill by using it a lot.
  3. DS3 got the scores it deserves. There is no need to bring in unfair reviews of the past, it happened quite a lot over the years. At the end of the day the reviews by IGN/Gamespot/GT/etc rated DS3 fairly and didn't rate it higher or lower than it deserved. Sooooo "There's been a lot of unfair reviews but at the end of the day reviews are fair"? It's amazing how whenever reviews come up, Volourn is the sole voice of reason - everyone knows there's (a) a fair bit of corruption, (b) a lot of subjectivity, © not a lot of quality control in the entire industry (though of course there are exceptions). Make up your own mind.
  4. I know I'm late, but
  5. Weird. Steam settings work for me fine... but thanks, that's something people can try when it doesn't.
  6. I think they're just very good at blocking and defensive stances. They're incredibly durable when you're helping them, but when you die and they stop blocking to try and run to you, you can see they die very well.
  7. The official support is available through Square Enix; otherwise, the devs do read this forum. I can't remember if anybody had a similar problem to yours, but I'd also search this forum.
  8. Yep, I was looking round the files yesterday and thought we really need to unpack the .oaf. This sounds great. My first mod coming up: triple movement speed for all!
  9. Solved. Please make sure your DS3 is updated.
  10. I don't know how they do the economy these days. Game.com.au, for instance, is a branch of Game.co.uk, which had a 5-pound sale going on since early June. It's one of many sites now that seem to do a lot of 10% sales before release, and sometimes after release, and... I don't know if they ever sell anything full price. No idea how that works.
  11. Tried with Bendu and Fluoride, camera is definitely way too close but good fun, if they can zoom it out a bit more it'll be great.
  12. Achievements appear to have been fixed for some people, at least, with today's mini-patch.
  13. The in-game savetime is horribly wrong. It thinks I take 6 hours to finish the game.
  14. No, the main stats window has a toggle to switch between stances. Read the bottom bar of the main menu and it shows you all the buttons you can press to do stuff; one of them, Y on controller, switches stances so you can check the stats. You can also check chaos stats, etc.
  15. They aren't normal rings. The boyar will have mentioned them in dialogue as he gave you the quest. The first is the , and the other is the God, I've forgotten where! You should have it if you've done all Raven's Rill quests though.
  16. But mkreku, how can you complain about it if you don't play it?
  17. As far as we can tell nobody at Obsidian or Square ever set out to do a persistent MP mode, so it wasn't a question of rushing. Now if you begin from the premise that a MP game should always have persistent MP by default and anything that does not do so is a problematic or incomplete game, then of course everything else falls into place - devs' explanations are excuses, the company must be lazy/stupid/incompetent/evil/unethical/crazy/bankrupt/hate you, etc., etc. This isn't necessarily incorrect (who knows), but it isn't really a logical way to go. I'm not interested in persuading anyone that thinks DS3 needed persistent MP or DS3 is crap without it, since that's their opinion and that's clearly predicated on what they will enjoy. That's fine. I do think that this insistence some people have on extending their preference onto a statement about what video games should be and what gamers deserve is a separate argument, and one without a lot of merit. Are people that are happy with DS3's MP all spineless bottomlickers? Or, uh, they have different needs and wants from you?
  18. The best way to get eyes is, well, to post here, as you've already done, and to open up tickets with Square Enix / Steam customer support. Devs read these forums, though they don't post as much. That said, with this particular issue, I'm pretty sure they know there's a problem already.
  19. I've just checked, and this is most likely a bug - when you use a controller with the PC version, nothing has changed. It's just the KB/M. Unfortunately, the crappy part of Steam is that (a) it keeps updating your game even when you tell it not to, and (b) there's literally no way of rolling back to an earlier version, since even if you reinstall, it'll reinstall the patched version. If the AutoHotKey solution doesn't work for you (there seems to be both reports of success & failure) I guess we have to wait and see - hope the devs are able to fix this soon.
  20. Oh, perhaps Vera and others count as mini-bosses, and Rajani is the first 'proper' boss. In that case, though, it might only apply to a few battles - Rajani,
  21. See here. Appears to be a hiccup with a minor update.
  22. Yeah, the devs seem to be working on it, at least for PC. Achievements should be rewarded retroactively, though, once it's fixed.
  23. When you exit the foundry and walk up the short stairs to the main streets, you should get a cutscene with Marten Guiscard. Pretty much as soon as you exit. Perhaps check he is there and try to talk to him manually? If he's not there, something's not firing in the scripts, I assume.. The order you do it in shouldn't matter.
  24. Ironically, a lot of people complained like you wouldn't believe about the NWN cameras. A lot more than DS3.
  25. It's a third party tool. Follow my link, then follow the poster's link to install the tool, then use the poster's script as a base for you to tinker with. I haven't tried it myself, but it could help.
